Meanwhile without lebron cavs would be a 7th or 8th seed team and with him they are a championship team. This is one of the greatest analogies ever created. Lebron has given more money to Cleveland and Miami than people realize. I went to Miami, to travel, because the Heat made it seem like it was the place to be.
    However, Colin, you're out of your mind if you think nobody wants to play with Westbrook. There's not another all-star on that roster. I'm willing to bet that an all-star will go team with him.
    Is Lebron better than Russ, yes and nobody will argue that, but don't diminish Westbrook's contribution to basketball. If The Thunder were in the East, they'd be a top 3 seed and nobody would be having this conversation.
    When Westbrook drops a triple double they win 80% of the time, that's what MVPs do.
    Without Westbrook they are a lottery team.
    Lastly, the man is 6'3" and is the only guard in the top 25 in rebounds in the league. I believe Harden is second averaging 8 rebounds to Westbrook's 10. If the MVP stands for most "Valuable" then without a doubt Westbrook is MORE valuable than Lebron to his team. Is Lebron having a great year? 25ppg, 8 RB, 9 ast, while shooting 53% Fg and 38% 3P? Um yes, that is MVP worthy but without him they still have 7 other guys who were top five picks. The have A better bench than some starting fives. They have Uncle Drew, so "value" wise, Westbrook wins the debate to me. Is Lebron a better player, but without Westbrook doing what LBJ used to do in Cleveland(pre-Heat days) they'd be a lottery team.

    Why does everyone put harden so far above Westbrook. Hardens team is stacked and surrounded by players that he has had time to play with. The best players on okc are either new additions or really young under developed players. Or they r Andre Roberson who shot 4% from 3 in a 10 game stretch. Look at harden last year. His teammates hated him. He turned things around this year with new free agent additions and his teammates followed his energy. Russell brings that energy and tries to lead but his team is too young. The best connection on the thunder is Westbrook to kanter. He makes kanter so much better and so much more efficient when they play together. However kanter is the leader of th second unit and has limited minutes with Westbrook. Harden also set a record for turnovers this year. Season not even over yet.

    Colin's argument for LeBron being like SnapChat is very true but all the extra stuff about the economy, TV ratings, etc.. doesn't hold any significance in the MVP voting. ON THE COURT ONLY: You can't take nights off or not show up in half the games you play. The Cavs are in great position to still win the east and most likely repeat as champions but it doesn't hide the fact that they are DISAPPOINTING this year. MVP isn't about playoff success it's about regular which LeBron doesn't care about.

    For those saying Westbrook shoots so bad because he has no one.....
    Look at lebrons % every year in Cleveland after his rookie year with a team with the same level of talent as current Okc. So i don't understand that and how he still shot like this with KD, Ibaka, Harden.

    If LeBron doesn't win MVP, Leonard deserves it. Also Russell should just win scoring champion. I'm tired of all this triple double talk too, it doesn't make them better than Leonard, Curry, Durant and LeBron.

    If some of you consider LeBron to be the MVP this year just think about the players he has around him. He keeps recruiting players to go out and help him if he's a GOAT why doesn't he stick with the players he had since coming back to Cleveland

  • @MhdMeqdad
    @MhdMeqdad Před 7 lety

    It's true about the impact LeBron is having, but if we stick our argument within the NBA as a sport, Leonard is more dominant. Cavs-Heat game was so stuffy yesterday that cavs choked on every possession. Same layups Heat made were so tough for the cavs' best to make, including LeBron and Kyrie. On the other hand, Leonard owned the Rockets yesterday, scoring and blocking. So in terms of the game itself and as far as the MVP discussion goes, Leonard is edging LeBron and Harden. Harden is only in the discussion because his team is almost third in the West and his stats are high enough to push his team to where they are now. If you look at LeBron I didn't trust his last three pointer yesterday. It was so obvious he wasn't gonna make it (though I was wishing he would). Leonard's 3 did go in. Leonard is proving night in and night out that he is a major factor in the Spurs' wins than LeBron.

  • @lkfldfadf
    @lkfldfadf Před 7 lety

    Good point. Get over the triple doubles already. It's like 20 10 10 is million times bigger than 20 9 9. You get no headlines for the latter. How about 7 turnovers a game, no one ever mentions that when Westbrook gets another TD.

  • @jahbarimilligan4034

    Westbrook or Harden might win it but LeBron is doing 26ppg, 8reb and 9 asst at 32 years old and 14 years of playing and also going to 6 straight finals like harden and Westbrook couldn't dream of averaging that in their 14th season , so we will see , I love the Snapchat analogy and I agree LeBron should be the MVP, you put LeBron on OKC and Houston , he'd have them better than those two guys do and I don't think if Westbrook or harden was on the cavs they make it to the finals , appreciate LeBron greatness because he impacts ALOT , LeBron deserves it but Westbrook or harden will get it

    possessions are wayyyy down from what they used to be in the NBA for one, and if triple doubles were so "easy" then everyone would be doing it....and the fact that he's doing it on a team with otherwise marginal talent makes it more impressive....if anything, lebron should be averaging more assists because he's supposedly a more unselfish player AND has much better scorers around him than russ...the hate is crazy

    Colin dude. Condo sales are not down because of lebron leaving Miami and clevelands downtown is not growing because he came back. Sports are cool and it's a nice industry, but sports does not generate wealth for people other than the athletes. Condos aren't sold for basketball reasons. Google the federal reserve interest rates. This is ridiculous. Also, snapchat went way down today, no analysts suggesting you buy.
