I’m on Brasilian girlfriend #3. They have been long term long distance relationships but usually very interesting and fun. My first girlfriend is an orthodontist and was of Italian descent. My second girlfriend had been a professional ballet dancer in Paris and lived in France for 18 years. She was married to a doctor who fell down some stairs and hit his head which killed him several days later. She was a blast but knew how to spend money and had a maid even though she is a yoga instructor and doesn’t make much money. My current girlfriend has a sweet daughter who I unofficially adopted and she takes it very seriously which is very cute. My girlfriend is a hard worker and her family likes me. She knows how to sew professionally, do drywall work and works in her brother’s granite shop. They can’t swim which is odd since they live near the ocean. She goes to church for excitement. One day in Brazil is worth 3 days in the US because it’s so interesting, even grocery shopping is fun.

For example, a person walking around lost in a neighborhood may be referred to as a gringo meaning their "clueless" and not from around here.

I had no problem bedding dozens of Caleñas, Paísas for the price of a movie and dinner at a nice place, then relax in a 4 star place. Being gentlemanly and charming is impressive to them. I have dated women from a number of Latin countries. I started traveling to Latin America 19yrs ago and have spent a lot of time there living in Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Nicaragua. I actually plan to retire to Latin America, find myself a nice Latina to be with the rest of my days. I like how Latin woman are traditional and many want a strong man who will support them.

How long did it take you to learn Spanish ?
When you make part 3, a couple things I'd like to know. 1) Obviously the man will pay for everything. But I would like to know how far this goes - do the women say thank you? Do they appreciate their men? Are they entitled? Do they ever contribute to paying for all the dating activities and dining? Do they reciprocate in other ways? 2) Do they participate in the courtship process? Or do they make the man do everything? (ALL the inviting, ALL the planning, ALL the contact, ALL the logistics). I have spent a lot of time in Peru dating women there,. and I have some thoughts on all this.
I dated a girl in Peru briefly. One weekend she and her mother invited me to go for a drive to a nearby town. I accepted, thinking we would see some scenery during the three hour drive before returning. Most of the scenery was some awful traffic jams we got into. She took us to a restaurant for lunch. When the bill came , she looked at me for payment. I'm thinking, "hey, you are the one who invited me. You never told me there was a meal involved and on my dime, too!" In the US at least, the custom is whomever does the inviting pays for any meal that arises. Maybe they were just trying to take advantage of me because I was American.
@@davidlindgren7605 Not surprised at all. I have some stories like that too. The "whoever invites" rule means nothing down there. It actually doesn't mean much up here either, though women like to rely on that excuse. The Peruvian women would routinely invite themselves to lunch/dinner/drinks on me. The problem is they never say thank you. Never. It’s like their god given right in the universe that the white man will always fund everything. They do not even appreciate it at all. Like you owe them. They may also tell you to send them a taxi. The entitlement is off the charts. But essentially, they’ve been taught this by their culture. It’s very old fashioned. They don’t know it’s rude. Peruvian women have many positive qualities that American women do not have, but overall I’m looking for a girlfriend not a helpless dependent. I could elaborate on this for days but I don't want to rant.

Dating foreign women has been the best for me. They are generally more petite and family oriented. If you’re looking for a career women and don’t want kids, it’s probably best to stick to American women. Of course this is a generalization and not always true.

Nothing like you think. I'm 5'9", I was looking over crowds on the street. The entire mall had no shoes large enough, my size 10s were considered huge, average size here.
At a Club, I saw a 5"3" guy that all the women were swooning over, staring at him enamored. He was a super smooth salsa dancer, they all hoped they could get the next dance with him. I left. I can't salsa.
