  • A year ago, the small island of Providencia was devastated by the strongest hurricane to ever hit Colombia, flattening its infrastructure.
President Ivan Duque promised it would all be rebuilt in 100 days after the category 5 storm hit, but the residents say that is not the case.
Al Jazeera's Alessandro Rampietti reports from Providencia, Colombia.

A quick glance at the type of people that are affected by this should give anyone a clear understanding as to why the Colombian government does not care about their problems.

True. This is also not mentioned in North America. Because THOSE LAND PARASITE MOBSTERS want to STEAL THE ISLAND FROM THE LOCALS. DISGUSTING

Countries should begin evacuating all populations who live in flood and hurricane zones out to inland areas not rebuild, this will occur again and again and again and again unless these residents are relocated further inland

Then you can evacuate most of the Caribbean. There is a reason why people remain even if their house has been damaged time and time again: because it is their home land. You could offer for people to move to mainland Colombia, but I doubt any are interested.
