0:26 is the best. Freakin' flippin' out all over the place, just faceplanting, nets, all crazy. One of those that can be watched any number of times, and still be just as hilarious. Robot slapstick, who'da thunk would be this hilarious?
Wow, it's so awesome to see you guys failing. It really makes me see how much effort and knowledge it really takes to do this. How much damage do they suffer during crashes like these?
It's like watching hapless t-800 models fumble around in a laboratory under the control of scientists shortly before they gain sentience and we're scooping our intestines back into our bodies.
That part where they are all trying to load balance and one fell off was crazy. He looked like he was in trouble. Like god please don't let these crazy bots hit me in the face!
@migpics11 There are kits available that contain parts and instructions to build them, but the quadrotors themselves not mass-produced and sold as whole pre-assembled products.
@DannleChannel Thanks. It seems by the video that you guys are using some sort of external tracking device to control them. Is there enough computing power for the drones to be aware of their environment?
I've never seen such a funny video, first I thought that your quadrs never fail because of your professional system. But anywhere software is involved it'll crash sometimes… ^^
Umm not for nothing, I hope everyone knows that these are advanced maneuvers and it will be perfected in a few short years. And another thing to point out is that the military is currently using airborne autonomous drones. I don't think wind is too much of a factor especially when you can put more processors on a larger object to compute the variables.
@raschdieek Yes perfected. Look at the related videos. Electronics being updated and revamped is tweaking it. There's more then one way to do the same task. Oh and have I not mentioned that the military is currently using this technology?
@migpics11 I'm not the video uploader nor am I affiliated with the makers, I'm just going by what I've learned about these. However, if I remember correctly the quadrotors have over 20 sensors to detect their environment and are controlled by a main computer running a program known as "the foreman." It gives commands to each quadrotor and is aware of their positions, calculating necessary changes in real time. However, that might be another team working on these I'm thinking of.
One rotor is dangerous enough. Two is just inviting bladed shrapnel death. But four...? That's crazy. If you thought one helicopter is unsafe, try four at once. They tend to vibrate off the ground and each other, shaking to pieces. Just look at the horrendous crash of the 4-helicopter Helistat here on CZcams. The helicopters vibrated off the frame in seconds and exploded, shredding a blimp to bits. The pilot died.
Guys, I hope your're going to wear some goggles. I do. I've had blades break off and fly at me like daggers. It would be a shame for an eye injury to curtail the good research that you are doing.
@MasterMorty Hah indeed! But it's a good video suggestion nevertheless, as I like both ducks and building quadrotors :) (although my personal max duck count in the garden was only 32)
0:22 1: Hey! I'm coming over with this pillar, could you move a sec? 2: whaat? *crash* 1: OWW FUCK! 2: oh SHIT! sorry man! shit shit shit. 3: Jesus, 2. be careful!
0:28 "Jimmy just fell down... QUICK EVERYONE FALL DOWN!"
Thank you for posting these. Made my day.
You folks are doing incredible things with those quads. Keep it up!
thanks, I've been so impressed with all of these videos! Even your fails are awsome
This is the funniest thing I have seen all week.
This is the first video that has actually made the quadrotors look cool. Can't wait till they get reliable enough for real world use!
0:26 is the best.
Freakin' flippin' out all over the place, just faceplanting, nets, all crazy.
One of those that can be watched any number of times, and still be just as hilarious.
Robot slapstick, who'da thunk would be this hilarious?
Thanks for posting this up. In your other vids, it's scary how precisely these things can fly.
1:02 HIGH FIVE!
Thanks a lot for sharing the failures on wich such amazing videos were made !
"Film everything because it just might work."
Good advice!
This is better than watching humans actually getting hurt in humorous ways!
We learn by our mistakes. Great video!
That was pretty amusing. Thank you.
I know this is a "fail" video but these Quadrotors are amazing.
If other robots watched this, they would consider this bloopers and roll on the air laughing (ROAR).
Those are some pretty amazing fails!
I laughed out loud at the last one. I love these videos. Moar quadrotor vids nauw!
lol 0:20 Drone 1:"Okay...steady...steady!" Drone 2: "My turn!" Derps. Drone 1: "Dude...seriously?" Drone 3: "Hmm...wonder if that computer likes me...Oh, we done?"
Wow, it's so awesome to see you guys failing. It really makes me see how much effort and knowledge it really takes to do this. How much damage do they suffer during crashes like these?

at the end; "hey bob" "oh hey, dave, hows it goin?" "pretty cool..oh shit here comes mike!" *crash*
@migpics11 There are kits available that contain parts and instructions to build them, but the quadrotors themselves not mass-produced and sold as whole pre-assembled products.
0:26 - "Oh shit, #1 is playing dead - we probably better follow suit"
@DannleChannel Thanks. It seems by the video that you guys are using some sort of external tracking device to control them. Is there enough computing power for the drones to be aware of their environment?
With that last scene, all I could think of was 'Et tu, Brute?'
@TheJehl1 I love the one that flies in a circle.
At 1:00 the two quads were like, "Hey, howya doing?" "Ohai, i'm f-izzuuuckkk"
that is one kickass job to just break shit with quadrorotors all day
They kick ass anyway. Thanks for the video. ;-)
Hahah brilliant! Drunk-quads!
Love this stuff!
you guyz rock, that shit is scary, it's too sci fi for my brain.
they are still amazing!
Hope you guys have health insurance. Quad-rotor cut is really painful and I learnt it the hard way.
Well that was reassuring!
Interesting Fails!
1:07 out of nowhere karate kick "hu jaaaa..." XD

It must have been like this when the Combine first invented Manhacks.
@Arangarta lets not forget their ultimate weakness...enclosed areas with no breeze!...causes them to swam out of control @ 0:25
0:56 Boom Headshot
I wish they had voices kinda reminds me of pixar films with the animated bloopers >.
at :22 quadrotor was like "
UGH I gotta get away from this idiot!"
I would be pretty proud of some of these "fails"
the last one is really funny!
they all went batshit at 0:26 XD
@hazardfactory yeah, seems like a dangerous job, but hard to tell the strength of the actual rotors.
Are these quadrotors available to the general public?
many propellers got trashed during the making of this video
This summer! Alfred Hitchcock's "The Quadrotors"
@raschdieek Yes perfected. Look at the related videos. Electronics being updated and revamped is tweaking it. There's more then one way to do the same task. Oh and have I not mentioned that the military is currently using this technology?

i see a future in quadrator fightin
00:21 Ima just sneak in here really quick and put my piece down and-SMACK-BAM!
1:03 is the best lmaooo
This is funny as hell.
0:26 is the best one :D
1:00 "Yo!...OHSHITSONLOOKOUT!" *crash*
excellent gasp at 0:45
Is there something that measures distance at what they're looking ?
they do themselves
there are cameras to track the position
and a computer does the trajectory planing

In the last bit, was the third quad named Leroy Jenkins!?
Guys, I hope your're going to wear some goggles. I do. I've had blades break off and fly at me like daggers. It would be a shame for an eye injury to curtail the good research that you are doing.
Terminator is getting real
Last robot got "WTFBOOM'ed"
0:26 New tactic to destroy the skynet drones take out one, and the rest will fall
The last one:
"Hey guys, BROFIST Uh.... wait"
I assume those all use prop savers?
@MasterMorty Hah indeed! But it's a good video suggestion nevertheless, as I like both ducks and building quadrotors :) (although my personal max duck count in the garden was only 32)
Poor little quads, they are so hard to train
drunken robots. this is fantastic.
the last ninja one was so funny
want one of those quadrotor!
how many propellers do you guys go through?
my mind is blown.
Was someone piloting these or were they programmed?
The important thing to know were any Quadrotors harmed in the making?
i wonder how much these guys spent on repairing these
Now we know their weaknesses should they ever rise up against us!!
HOOPS AND HOLES AT AN ANGLE!!!
Its the only thing holding back the rise of SkyNet, derpy humans!
that last one wan't a fail. Clearly the 3rd machine wanted to eliminate the competition

1: Hey! I'm coming over with this pillar, could you move a sec?
2: whaat?
*crash*
1: OWW FUCK!
2: oh SHIT! sorry man! shit shit shit.
3: Jesus, 2. be careful!
But a fail is always the beginning of success...
Hopefully these things are durable.
Lol stupid robots
*front door goes*
le terminator appears :o
I feel bad for them.
@0:38 working without body protection - BIG NO.
These are the videos you don't show the funding agencies. (any other academics here?)
are they still useful after they crash?
Are these drones or are they R/C ?
do they learn from their fails?
1:02 TAKE THAT!
@chill579 or the "SHIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiii-" from the gi joe parodies
Can someone dub this so that when they skew off they go "ohshiiiiii!" I can just imagine it!
wOULD YOU GUYS LIKE SOME BETTER BODY PROTECTION? Like sintra or steel sleeves. or maybe a secondary robotic arm. your going to get some nasty bruises.
@TheJehl1 You know what that was probably what it thought.
i laught way to hard on this one xD
