I'd really suggest using hazelnuts or almonds for a traditional taste if it's your first time making these. You can still substitute for pecans later on! It's also best to let the dough rest in the fridge overnight.

Tip- use multi coloured boiled sweets instead of the jam. Wonderful and colourful

this was a complete fail for me! the dough was wayyy too sticky to the point where it just couldnt be lifted from the parchment. i had to throw the whole thing away beacuse it was a complete mess :( your recipes usually turn out so perfectly i really don't know what i did wrong :(((
Laura please, you are followed internationally....only the U.S.of A. persists in using cups, tsp, tablespoons etc. which of course could not be more absurd--might you be so kind to include the metric equivalents for your excellent recipes,..this is what a good friend of mine wrote me upon looking up your recipe for Panettone--" No go- all cups and weird U.S.of A. measures!!!!!!
