I respect the guy who was anti-gun being open-minded and giving it a chance.
we never heard a statement from him after he shot a gun though
I like that he moved to an area that braces guns so he thought he’d give a shot rather than trying to change the laws
That's political integrity for you!
I have come to the conclusion after taking many Anti Gun libs to the range. Once they shoot a few rounds of an AR or 9mm pistol they suddenly want to buy a gun. They all think its just like in the movies. But once they realize that going to the range is a very refine process thats very safe and methodical. They want to own one.

Not a big gun fan, but I did visit a range and shot. I think there are more reasonable people out there than you realize :)
Terry Bolin it’s a great attitude. I’m all for the “don’t knock it till you’ve tried it” stance.
I agree but I must admit that it depends on case and situation. For guns it works but you can't use this statement interchangeably for just anything.
I’m tired of guns
I LOVE how strict, direct, and to the point their instructor is. That’s how you need to treat a firearm. It’s a FIREARM!
You need to be when being a firearm instructor. These guys were probably more easy to control. But we know that's not always the case. You get people that start flagging everybody, finger still on the trigger, maybe even a round still in the chamber.
@@tonycj7860 true shit.
one time I went shooting with some family that didn't know that much about guns, and they had a question right before they were going to shoot, so they turned around and flagged most of us with a loaded shotgun with their finger on the trigger.

we were just like out in the woods at a popular shooting spot, not something official. so yeah they got to stay.
Not strict enough in my opinion.
Everyone is like this the first time they shoot. It takes about 2 mags to relax and adjust wrist strength. Proud of these people for being open minded!
Only if they haven't actually done any research on firearms or are unenthusiastic. I had a blast (pun intended) the first time I shot a handgun, and I had done research, and I was also extremely enthusiastic. I think you should always do research and try to at least be a little excited or serious.
when i was 11-12 i started shooting with my grandpa and he told me i controlled recoil generally well for a first timer (he started me out with .45 then went to 12 gauge)
As an instructor I have done this many times. Nearly always the end is smiles and an appreciation of what we do and why. Many are at first over awed by the power in their hands, and so they should be. To hold instant death is not a small thing, and nearly everyone I have trained ends up more thoughtful, sober of mien and self possessed for the experience. Handling weapons, and especially firearms, is a sobering experience; it changes people, and for the better, whether or not they continue into shooting sports, hunting or whatever.
Very well said. Thank you for what you do.
As a bow and arrow shot, I can relate to this statement really well
"Do you want to shoot more?"
"Yes, absolutely!"
It's an easy thing to get addicted to :) Why did the cartridge case at 0:13 have a big dent in it... any ideas?
Sgt Steel your kinda dum dum in the brain

I fired my first gun at 49 years old. I made a lot of mistakes in loading and in muzzle discipline. But I kept going and got better.
Seven years later, my wife and I have bought several firearms and go to the range quite often.
I got my first this year (2023) at 45 and am loving it. I try to hit the range whenever I can. My first range time, I went alone to overcome the fear by myself. It helps that a few of my coworkers are also carriers, so we make a day of it and practice with each others firearms. It's a wonderful culture for those who take it seriously and are knowledgeable.
Good on both of you 🤘
I got my first gun at 20, its an AR-15, my second gun at 21, a Glock 19, and my third gun a few weeks ago at 22 which is a .357 Mag revolver. Shooting is one of the most fun and therapeutic things you can do, and I'm interested in more than just shooting them too. Coming from a gun enthusiast, if someone has never fired a gun, don't bombard them with "watch your stance", "slow steady squeeze", "your posture is all wrong", etc. It makes firing a gun so much more intimidating than it already is. Obviously, give them pointers etc., but they're firing a darn glock here. It isn't going to blow them back to the wall behind them. Just give them important safety advice and let them pull the trigger and get a feel for it.

Teaching my family members to handle a pistol was a very personal thing for me. The instruction of "safety first at all times" and stressing that point is the most important factor and after that sinks in it's all down hill. Fundamentals are a little different with each type of pistol/revolver but the safety rules remain constant. I felt that the children were the easiest to teach since they were used to listening to what I was telling them as a teacher and was able to perform step by step as shown. Adults seemed to want to jump forward through some steps that I immediately made sure they followed a more procedure type approach for safety.

They all hit nothing but center dot. Total bad asses all of them.
@@Eclispestar One person missed the paper entirely though. Not saying that aren't badasses but it does take a lot of practice to be able to trust your aim to be on target. It would be good to show the targets afterwards because it's dangerous for people to have no training with a gun and put all their cards on figuring it out in the spur of the moment they find themselves in the position to need to use it thinking it'll be a perfect bullseye. Your aim is always a bit off in that instance because of fear & adrenaline. The more practice you get on the range the better your aim will be when/if put into that situation
@@WillowtheRainFawn one guy hit bullseye tho
I’ll preface by saying that I agree, it takes practice to TRUST your aim. But I’ve only ever shot two mags worth of a 9mm glock something (I dunno it was with my dad’s friend) and the only shot I missed was the first shot. So as a first timer, if I were to show everyone “how great my aim was” it might send the opposite message ya know. In this situation, it’s a controlled environment with an instructor, taking his time, they probably hit their shots too good, and didn’t want to show that so it wouldn’t seem like anyone can just pick up a gun and hit every shot (maybe I dunno, just some shared experience).
Not for all people, I’m from Puerto Rico and here to have guns first you need to go through a firearms safety course (the final is shooting a target) it was my first time and I didn’t missed just 2 bullet out of 20 went to the nine and not to the 10 point circle the instructor jokingly said “hey we got ourselves a sniper” btw I wasn’t shooting from far away just 10-15yards (my bad if I gave u headache not my first language)

Dude your profile picture is from a dystopian game where people sell scavenged guns. I know it’s fiction but like in a post-apoc situation that wouldnt be out of the ordinary lol.
I thought the same thing.
Nobody told him armed gays dont get bashed.
Yea. He's definitely asleep.
I love how almost all of them closed one of their eyes while aiming.
YALL ALL DID A FANTASTIC JOB FOR YOUR FIRST TIME. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
I appreciate their open mindedness.
ikr i love how cut didn't place there own opinion or try to make guns look bad. i was not expecting that when i clicked on this
Kaitlyn C same
Dude thinking the same thing and thought it would be another one sided thing but they showed respect for guns and gave a nice honest opinion. Pleased with this episode and deserves a like
I like how they’re clearing shooting 9mm and then the opening scene uses the shell of a magnum (.357 or .44?) because the the casing is longer and more dramatic looking.
Stu Squantch I noticed that too
Kind of looks like a .22
@@nickaycock8290 thats a big muhfuckin .22
I thought it was a 38 Special
Stu Squantch I noticed that too lmfao
bro told him like 5 times to take his finger off the trigger, takes it off the trigger, gets tole to hold onto it and proceeds to put said finger back onto the trigger
I think the instructor did an excellent job teaching them valuable fundamentals when handling a firearm.
4:33 this guys face looks like he is getting flashbacks from vietnam
Zeldamaster 12345 😂😂🤣💀
Yeah that dude's seen some shit in his life
Then you see this dumb ass 3:01
"Its kinda scary how much power that is."
Imagine his reaction shooting a 50 Cal
BASS _plus it’ll be quite “in his face”
Or even a simple 12 gauge with 2 3/4 in shells and 00 buckshot. That’ll work the muscles in your shoulder pocket. 👍
"Im spooning a .50 cal. I could kill a building!"
@@jaycue7641 Well I bench press 315lbs for one at the gym, so If I shot one of those would I be able to hold it better as it fired?
@@loveisthemostpowerfulforce1397 theoretically sure. But even the smallest females can fire them if they know the proper way
“I’m fairly stable” camera mans last words
As someone who has only been able to fire real pistols a few times, but trains with air pistols almost daily, I’m using this video as a study tool to see the mechanics of recoil acting on people’s hands, wrists, and arms so that I can try to get as good as I can before I can buy my own.
Holy crap, they don't realize that they're shooting a fully semi-automatic Assault pistol with a 30 second per round magazine clip.
ADOBEFXPRO - hahaha, i guess nobody else got the joke. 😂
is fully semi automatic an actual term or just something stupid someone said
@@dv3258 CNN said it not long ago "Full semi-automatic"
fully semi automatic 30 caliber magazine clip in one half second
Did you just say fully semi automatic? Lol
I like this instructor. He was on top of range safety big time. He jumped in immediately and constantly with trigger safety and muzzle awareness, reinforcing them verbally at every opportunity. I also like that he started them off each with one round only. I'll have to steal that idea. It makes a lot of sense. The only thing I'd recommend is starting newbies off with a .22 caliber (but that doesn't make for an impressive video).
The music times with the reactions hahaha priceless
I don't think it's possible to replicate the feeling of power you first get after shooting for the first time.
2:54 let's admit it he looked like a badass
Monsters Rule no he did not💀
@@azzy2793 no the black guy
He did
Rugged type badass like heisenberg from Breaking Bad
Marko Ivanovic fax he look like he would kill someone and have that look on his face
2:58 if you make that face after firing a round, you've shot a gun before. No question.
Well guess what, you're wrong
yea and he can even shoot with both eyes open lmao
Issei Kotaki I can shoot with both eyes open on a scope but I don’t get how people do it with iron sights
Runé Jackson it’s harder with a scope than with iron sights
his form is trash no way he has
2:43 ... guy is instinctively moving the weapon to put a 2'nd shot down range. I bet he would be excellent marksman if given the chance to offload a few rounds down range. His control is outstanding.. I bet he could have a tight shot group.
All of their willingness to go out of their comfort zone is commendable!
I love how the guy said he wanted to know more about something before he gave an opinion about it. I wish there were more people like that.
I like the dreadlock guy's attitude. Also I like that they showed the instructor being strict with them. Many gun owners are very responsible (every single one I know, and me too, are really strict about gun safety) and they are a welcoming community. Glad to see people of differing viewpoints giving it a shot so they can get a better understanding.
(Pun intended.)
You'll find that most liberals are not entirely anti-gun. Guns are just not the main issue they focus on when voting.
That's the same philosophy I have. I was never a true gun enthusiast or grew up around them. But I thought to myself with all the crime and crazy violence happening out there why would I not arm myself if I have the option. I'll give up my gun when everyone else gives up theirs including career criminals and since that won't happen I'm not giving it up sorry
The older woman in the purple got hooked. You can just tell. When she said it was exhilarating, I was like oh there it is!
“I’m fairly stable,e” I felt that. That hit hard
