    ---------------------------------
The E-TECH plug-in hybrid makes the new Mégane even more versatile. While it can be driven in everyday life without fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, it offers all the comforts of a conventional drive on longer journeys. Regardless of the battery's state of charge, the E-TECH hybrid technology in the New Mégane ensures that the electric motor is used in the start-up and start-up phase. This reduces consumption and emissions, while the vehicle gains in agility.
The E-TECH Plug-in Hybrid is available in advance in the New Mégane Grandtour and at a later date also in the sedan, in the New Mégane Berline.
the reference among sporty sedans The Renault Sport label has established itself as the reference among sporty sedans. The Mégane RS TROPHY-R provided the proof last year with the new lap record on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring.
The new Mégane RS has the 1.8 liter turbo gasoline engine with direct injection and 300 PS (220 kW), as is also used in the RS TROPHY. Developed within the Alliance, this engine is also used in the Alpine A110. The torque has also been increased. With the EDC double clutch transmission, it is now 420 Nm (+30 Nm), with manual transmission it is 400 Nm. The higher output ensures improved acceleration, while the high torque - one of the highest in this category - takes driving pleasure and responsiveness to a new level.
The sports suspension with 4CONTROL four-wheel steering offers maximum agility in tight turns and high stability in fast corners. A new RS monitor shows numerous parameters of the vehicle in real time.
The previous GT Line is being replaced by the RS Line with expanded equipment and new accents in the design. There is more than a new model name behind it. The exterior design and interior have a sportier look. Renault is responding to the increasing demand from customers who want the Mégane with a more individual, sportier design.
New Mégane RS TROPHY: sportiness with the highest precision The specifications for the new Mégane RS TROPHY come straight from the racetrack. The combination of the 1.8 liter turbo engine with 300 hp with the Cup chassis combines precision and traction in a package that is a sporting reference in this class.
The New Mégane offers a modernized cockpit with a new, digital 10.2-inch instrument display and a new 9.3-inch monitor on the center console. This serves as an interface for all services that are available via the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system. The ergonomically designed, even more functional operation can be compared to that of a modern smartphone.
Newly available assistance systems increase the comfort and safety of the driver and passengers. Among other things, the New Mégane offers the motorway and traffic assistants. The level 2 system for autonomous driving simplifies everyday driving.
The new LED Pure Vision headlights increase safety and make driving in the dark more relaxed. But they also reinforce the distinctive, dynamic design of the New Mégane.

New Mégane E-TECH plug-in hybrid: rechargeable hybrid with charging connection
As a pioneer and expert in the field of electromobility, Renault has made state-of-the-art technology available in the New Mégane with the E-TECH plug-in hybrid drive with 160 hp. This focuses on energy recovery with innovations in which the expertise from Formula 1 comes into play.
With the E-TECH Plug-in Hybrid, Renault engineers developed an advanced, practical and exclusive hybrid drive for which the company has filed over 150 patents. The motorization combines elements that were conceived within the alliance. This includes the new generation of the 1.6 liter petrol engine, which has been specifically adapted for this application. There are also two electric motors and a multi-mode gear transmission with shift sleeves (without clutch). The coupling of the electric motors with the innovative transmission enables optimized, smooth gear changes. The architecture also maximizes energy efficiency.
The 9.8 kWh battery (400 V) in the new Mégane E-TECH plug-in hybrid allows fully electric driving up to 135 km / h. In mixed driving (according to WLTP) the efficient energy management system enables an electric range of 50 km, in urban traffic (WLTP City) even up to 65 km, notably without the use of the combustion engine.

I did a testdrive too and loved it!! was a bit scared after viewing other reviews where people complain its too slow and not responsive enough. Renault did a good job on the Megane E-tech. One thing I could find "disturbing" is the fake sport sound in sport modus, I think it was too loud and could not find a way to turn it down or off..

Hi, I have a question for you. What happens if my battery runs out? Can I continue driving fully or am I limited by something? Personally, I have no experience with any (electric) or hybrid car. Thank you very much for your answer 😉

    • @SDADanCars
      @SDADanCars  Před 3 lety +5

Dominik after the battery run out the car will drive perfectly normal but only with the normal engine. While you are driving and braking the battery will slowly charge again....and then the car reuse the energy that was regenerated 👍

    • @SDADanCars

But if you never charge, you could buy a car without the hybrid drivetrain. I thin this plug-in only makes sense and saves you petrol if you regularly plug it in.
