Lawn Clover Control Using Chapin 4-Gallon Backpack Sprayer & Ortho Weed B Gon

Managing the health and condition of a home lawn can be a difficult challenge. Every year is often different from the amount of time we can invest in our lawn care and of course, weather conditions play a huge role in timing proper applications of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Sometimes, we just have to roll with what we have and do the best we can to help our lawns recover from undesirable infestations of weeds, pests and poor nutrients.
This year, I was unable to apply any pre-emergence and I've found here in mid-Summer, clover has utterly infested my lawn. Thankfully, Chapin and ‪@orthobrand‬ Weed B Gon are a commanding force against which weeds don't stand a chance of survival! Combining Chapin and Ortho applies the proper solution of herbicide to kill well-established clover and weeds. I find a sprayer like this provides a better chance of applying the proper solution mixture over using a hose-end sprayer. Hose-end sprayers have never worked well for me...either diluting the product too much or spreading too high a concentrated amount damaging the grass. Also, I've always used 1-gallon sprayers so using this 4-gallon sprayer was my first experience. It is a heavy load and is awkward to lift and get fitted to my back but once it's situated, it didn't feel uncomfortable. Being able to apply 4 gallons worth of product saves me time rather than having to stop four times to create another 1-gallon solution.
The straps come pre-attached at the top of the tank but on mine, I found the left and right sides were reversed. I could tell because no matter how I tried to attach the bottom clips to the tank, the shoulder and waist straps were always twisted. Once I reversed sides for the top clips, the straps were properly laid and no longer twisted. No big deal but it was the only problem I had with getting my tank ready to apply solution.
Four days after applying the Ortho Weed B Gon, I saw the clover flower blooms that had been bright white for weeks, were now brown and wilted. Upon closer inspection, the clover leaves and stems looked mutated and twisted...clearly they were dying as well as the other species of weeds I sprayed in the process. Now, a week later as I post this video, what's left of the clover is already succumbing to the lawn grasses surrounding and covering them. The Ortho Weed B Gon has done it's job. I like the concentrate as it's more economical to purchase and a gallon of Weed B Gon concentrate provides many, many applications using a sprayer like this ‪@ChapinInternationalInc‬ backpack sprayer. Overall, I'm impressed as usual with this combination to control the weeds in my yard.
