Happens anywhere there is a large amount of cash. Watched a senior cash a couple of SSN checks at a grocery store and a guy in line started stalking and following him. I was behind the cameras recording all of it and radioed to my armed security working the front. Armed security kept Gramps safe and when I got off work, I gave gramps a ride home. When I drove my car up to the front door to pick him up, the guy that was stalking him was patiently waiting outside. The 3 of us smiled and waved.

In Memphis, a man lived about 10 blocks from me. He and his wife, at night after a concert, went by a teller and got cash and never noticed the car following them home. In the driveway one man went to the wife’s side and snatched her purse. The other got the man’s money, then killed him shooting him in the face. A baby sitter was inside with the children. Previously an elderly woman parked on the edge of a mall, got in her car to leave .. A man grabbed her purse and shot her in the face. I left Memphis after I was robbed at 2 pm in front of a bank at gun point. A dozen more things had already happened. PEOPLE, watch twice every move you make, take nothing for granted. Times are not as they used to be, period.
Now that's clear case of justice.

You’ll be happy to learn that the vast majority of criminal cases don’t involve pleading not guilty and a trial - 98%. Most don’t involve any expensive investigation beyond the initial police work. Thankfully most people that get caught trying an armed robbery don’t have the cash on hand to hire a smarmy lawyer. I can’t help you about the cost of incarceration tho that’s kinda built in
