🥳 woohoo! Great to have Sonny back in Hong Kong trying out all the noods! 🍜 Thanks for having me 😊
What are the names of the restaurants in English?
You were funny and I enjoyed watching this
your website doesn't work 😔
Funny
Great to have Virginia back on the show. Sonny has some of the best co-hosts and Virginia is on of the best co-hosts Sonny works with. Always a pleasure to watch you two here in the middle of Wisconsin. 🤘🏼
haha I think Sonny found his arch-nemesis with Ms. Virginia. She's very bubbly and a joy to watch.
Vee, is as well😍!
😂 I think so too!!!
no such thing as nemesis or bubbly or joy to or etc or not, outx, can outx etc any nmw s perfx
@@zes7215 I tried google translate but it couldn't tell what language you were talking either.
@@gloriawinbush1590 is that one of them silly woke things?
I like Virginia,I feel like she's doing her job very well because of how knowledgeable she is with everywhere they're going
😅😅
She was just with Mark Wiens too
Yay! The return of Virginia!!!
Yay!!! Thanks for the warm welcome!
Omg Virginia so hilarious 😂
The first one is NOT a noodle. Us HKers have never ever classified it as a noodle. It’s a street food snack.
It's a salad.
That’s what I thought. More of like rice rolls instead of noodles 😂
Chee cheong fan
If you type rice roll into google it literally says rice NOODLE roll, origin Hong Kong so…
@@TheKingOfBeans you’re gonna argue with a local HKer? Come on bro
5:55 was golden
had a good chuckle love how they are deeply passionate and then throw in some laughs sonny and his wife videos are some of my fav though the production value of the main vlog can't be beat
@@dorphacwhat vlog??
I played it 5 times laughing my heart out 😂
Absolute best
@@byoj3397 This is More Best Ever Food Review Show. I'm talking about the videos from the main channel Best Ever Food Review.
1. your editing team is just one of my favorites on youtube; huge kudos.
2. this was such a fun trio (including wife!!!) to watch.
great video team
I'm so glad to see Virginia back! Those older Hong Kong videos are great and so funny and informative. She's full of energy and excited. And since that video when I see fish balls I think of her everytime (and that sir making fish balls with that machine to press the fish and saying the channel isn't much. Well, sir, what about now?!). Great video! I'm curious about wonton noodles now
I love how you guys are unfiltered*for the most part*. I love seeing the blurbs and extras you guys have while displaying the culture and foods of different places.. that little added extra comedy really makes me.look forward to every one of these videos. You guys keep killing it.
Finally, female calvin🎉
ROFL
its just calvin with a wig and dress on
thank you for this beautiful footage. ( especially of the wok pan toss that was nice) may blessings come to you and your family
Food looks delicious! Virginia and Sonny together are so fun! Great video!
Pagpag video made me cry and humbled me, this video made me laugh out loud. Thank you sonny and team ❤❤❤
Finally HK series again! I feel like the last time you visited there your video still haven't covered everything yet, so this gonna be great
Love Virginia! Such friendly guide
Fantastic video. I'll definitely hit up her tour co. when I visit hong kong later next year! cheers :)
The dynamic you have with Virginia is so enjoyable to watch.
I hope there are many more episodes in HK!
I really love the co-hosts on this channel.
Many thanks from Rwanda!!! Your channel is a such blessing.
Soon many hk immigrants will move to rwandA😂
I miss all the food from my hometown Hong Kong, thanks for the video and hope you had a great time there! One noodle recommendation for you to try next time (or you may already have tried! haha) Cart Noodles 車仔麵!I wish NYC has something like that, Cart noodles is one of the most unique and local cantonese dishes in HK in my opinion! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Anyway, Great content as always!
Virginia is awesome. I love her cheerful positive attitude.
I always like these episodes with a local guide!
Perfect timing to watch this. Food in check and sat down. 😊
The beef 9.38sec is skirt steak, comes from the flank its has to do nothing forequarter between the brisket and ribeye.
Its attached to the hindquarter and is attached to the sirloin and eye fillet, aka porterhouse and fillet Mignon in the US
I challenge that. Its the serratus ventralis muscle from the fore quarter. It is removed from the boneless chuck eye roast.
@@michaeljaks5720 Exactly. Skirt looks similar, but has almost no marbling.
@@michaeljaks5720 yeah i thought chuckeye which in the us is probably the last cheap good tasting cut - i am glad they didn't call out the cut by name
It's called a chuck flat....thinly sliced
Chuck Eye or Denver, not so special, and rather cheap from the butcher.
Yes. I love mornings with another video with Sonny

Kool video and awesome to know about your guide info.
I will never stop watching him! The greatest part about his videos is him and his wife do all these crazy things together and she always gets to try the weird stuff cuz he buys for 2 no matter where or how much. So cool.
8:51, 方榮記. This is the hot pot place the Hong Kong gangsters hang out place. That’s what it is famous for, not the beef.
My top 3 all-time favorite noodles with broth are: 1) Phở, 2) Bún bò Huế, 3) Wonton Noodle (with added bbq duck leg and bbq pork)
No tonkotsu ramen? 🫠
@@pcwill it's on my top 10, but not top 3. Sorry.
Thank you for showing food in Hong Kong🙌🏻 Always welcome you to come back here🇭🇰
I love weekends because I know this channel will upload a new video 👌🏻, although I do miss when you guys upload videos on weekdays also!
I’m from Mauritius and live in europe for the last two decades almost. The Cantonese street foodweirdly reminded me of home. Wonton noodles are my favourite noodle bowls.
We have a pretty big Cantonese community in Mauritius.
ene bon ti bol mine bouilli ek so boulettes!
The fact that we get free food videos on CZcams by Sonny is truly a gift.. Keep up the good work, my man! 👍👍👍
It's not free, you're paying with your time but I still enjoy every video he puts out.
CZcams pays him over $4k a month so he does not have to work!
@@Saint_Jeromeyou are so naive!! He is only in it for free travel from CZcams welfare! Get a job!
Okay.
@@paulcziman624I think he is in it because he loves making these video’s and he gets payed lots more then 4k a month
Awesome video behind the scenes of these food stalls big fan of your show miss HK foods so much living in Ireland we don't have this can't wait to go back soon so yummy
Fantastic. Love the banter between Sonny and Virginia.
I'm never this early 😂
I didn’t even realize until I saw your comment
Me too
Thats what i always tell my girlfriends.
Yoooo. More HK videos!
Always fun to watch your vlogs....not just about the food but the way you commentate and your humour filled presentation 👍✌️
Welcome BACK! Love the return of Virginia as well! ❤
hello Sonny , bring out Virginia more often, and great job Sonny and Virginia
Virginia is full of life 😊
Excellent video!
Great video as always
watching this while i’m eating 2 minute noodles with bread … 😐
😆👍
😂
It be like that bro
😅
bread? naw too fancy. striaght maruchan cups 🗿 🤣🤣
Great episode. Love Virginia's personality.
looks so yummy!
Virginia is so cute and happy!
I'm looking forward to Hong Kong's episode! And freedom to Hong Kong! And today was the best! Thank you always for your great videos, Sonny Side!
Freedom has been dead since 2018 in HK. Used to be called Hong Kong, now is merely Hell Kong.
Big fan of Virginia since she first appeared on the main channel pre-Covid. I hope to book a tour with her the next time I’m in HK.
That wonton noodle place was my dad's favourite. He requested for the dried noodle from this shop sent to him in Canada by mail. Customs wasn't convinced that it was a treat for my dad and cut open the noodles to see if I hid something inside
The wok hay on those "best" noodles! Fuiyoh!
10:01 ''not knowing that I don't actually care about vegetables"
Same Sonny, same😂
Nice to see you in HK, Sonny and oh thanks for the photo too 👍
I like her energy and smile ❤
This is $1 USD! Not $1 HKD!
I'd love to visit Hong Kong someday 😢😢😢
Excellent video. The wonton noodle soup gets my vote too. I'm planning to book a food tour or 2 with Virginia when i visit HK next year.
Wonton noodles is a Hong Kong must! Happy to hear it’s one of your favourites!
Good to see Virginia again! Kudos to you for loyalty and continuity. Great chemistry as always!
the beef is spongey and soft because they use baking soda or alkaline to marinade and make the beef or most meat in HK softer (referring to the stir fried beef and rice noodle dish).
All, of those dishes looks scrumptious 🥹🍜🥰🍜🤤🍜!
Free Hong Kong from the CCP.
Why is Virginia not eating? That's very weird.
Thank you for this wonderful noodle tour of Hong Kong! Last time I visited was 2018, I do miss it. I should go back, to visit my best friend and his family. All these noodles look great…but there’s one noodle dish that rules them all. My mom’s. Hailing from Belitung in Indonesia, from Chinese migrants from Southern China who ended up there in the 18th century. It’s surprisingly similar to HK cuisine. That’s why we feel so at home there!
This is so appetizing and my first time watching Virginia, what a great guide! Just wondering, why wasn't she joining Sonny to try out the dishes?
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!
LOVE YOU MAN AS ALWAYS !!!
Awesome! Both of my favorite food reviewers collaborated together!
In Shamshuipo too! My old stumping ground!!!!
Holla from Boston!
Theres 's an awesome Indian restaurant there. Exit B.
Love the yoshi noise for wife eating so good! Virginia is awesome
i luv ppl going to hk to try foods
Fong Wing Kee, the spot you went for the most expensive noodles, is actually famous for their Satay Hot Pot, an old recipe that is rarely found in HK anymore. It's rich and savory and better than any other Satay Hot Pot spot, it's too bad you just went for the noodles. Hope you have the opportunity to go again and try the hot pot because it's the best in my opinion.
Great video. Virginia always makes me smile. She's so cute and adorable.
Dude!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you are again using co-hosts!!! I love it!! Reminds me of good old times :D
That was awesome!!!
So excited to have Sonny back in Hong Kong for another food tour with beautiful Virginia.
It's great that you're back in Hong Kong and during a more peaceful period. Time to fully explore the food. 😋
Its crazy awesome how the streets of hong kong stand the test of time. The streets, people and vendors look exactly the same to me from when I lived there 20 years ago. Hope to get back there for some eating, sights and sounds
Ahhh you used Virginia as a guide!! Amazing!
Knoxville Tennessee checking in!❤
Yeeeeees sonnys back in HK!!!
Always love different type of chili sauce for different noodles. Hungry now
Super energetic guide
As a Hong Konger I can assure you we never consider rice rolls as noodles. But they do are cheap and tasty, be sure to try it out if you are visiting Hong Kong :)
我最鍾意既混屯面同豬腸粉
Ive been to that restaurant where they serve the beef chow fun. Its great! Tasty congee and noodle restaurant in IFC mall also makes damn good beef chow fun too.
Yes!!!! The first noodle was great!! Tried it before!!
Cutting Virginia off when she went to explain again had me rolling 😂
You’re very lucky to have a tour guide. Those are pretty famous dishes. Your last question about how she found that place is also a very good one. The restaurant seems to be visited out of nowhere. I too was thinking why visit that place.
Great video! Growing up in Hong Kong Cheung Fan with peanut and hoisin was my favourite snack!
Some viet places in the US Northwest have a dual noodle option where you can get both pho noodles and the chewy egg noodles in the same bowl. Highly recommend the dual noodle approach.
We love your video ❤ and we love Noddles and Hello Sonny Wife. ❤❤
8:03 Fried Kueh Teow - it was called in Malaysia and Singapore.
You and the wife work great together, the second you eat everything looked delicious, number 3. Looks delicious too.every cookie different like you have pointed out on ever video.
Sonny you're the best. I love your videos
That really nice video, Thanks you.
Anyone here ever try those food before? Suggest me please!!
Just to be precise the sauces for the rice noodle rolls are soy sauce, peanut sauce, sweet sauce, chilli sauce and white sesame. In my old days, they would included cold cooking oil. When I eat my wonton noodles, I usually add red wine vinegar to complement its meals. Glad he added some chilli sauce for his beef chow fun. For that similar hotpot beef vermicelli, could make those at home rather than paying $58 where the cost is mostly applied to the part of the meat itself. There are still few types of noodles I've yet to see him try and they are Long Life E-Fu Noodles, Silver Needle aka mouse tail noodles, & Lai Fun types of spaghetti made out of rice flour, etc.
I,love all of his guides - but my favorite is the executive that sends him on on mysterious quests ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!
Come on Sonny - forget that
@whomever, sent Sonny on mysterious quest-please do it again ❤️.
Sending hugs, from Michigan!
always wanted to visit hong kong
Sweet, Virginia took you to Ho To Tai all the way out in rural Yuen Long! It was shown on camera the "swallow skin dumplings"... a Fujian speciality, shame you also didn't try them
