  • As a licensed contractor, we inform ALL of our clients that if their house was built before 1978 they MAY have Lead in it. One way to test paint for lead is with a DIY lead paint test kit.
We did find lead in this house so we will be bringing in a crew that specialized in lead removal.

Tell me, if you would, as you seem to have been scratching your head to determine if the tint you saw was in the color family the test tells us to look for. Could you clearly see the difference in hues from testing liquid orange to a pink or red?
What would the deepening of the orange suggest to you, without a change toward a discernable pink or red? Thanks.

Yes- there is also a test strip so you can see what the color should look like if there is lead. If the house is really old and you have to do lots of tests- that is where I would hire a pro since it would be cheaper.

In June 2019, I broke my bedroom wall with a foot because of my craziness, rage, and stupidity, and there were at least a little few paint droppings. In November 2022, I added and extended damage by palming it due to my craziness, rage, and stupidity again, and some possibly lead paint peelings and chips had and have been everywhere since. Am I still fine? How do I get help?

You can get a DIY Lead test kit to see if there is lead in the wall. If the house was built after 1978 you are fine.
With regards to the rage kicking- try punching the air- it does not break and you don't have to fix it. OR punch a pillow or soft surface. That way you don't get hurt in the process.
Hopefully whatever is causing your anxiety subsides in 2023. Good luck my friend.

@@SawHorseDesignBuild It's actually really old like 67 years old, so there could be lead paint. You can wish me the best of luck on the tests. However, domestically testing is probably as far as I can go. Without my parents' help beyond that, I just won't succeed for sure. I've messed up multiple times over the past 2 months and caused them so much trouble. This will earn me severe punishment no doubt about it. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

What if the test area turns red but not the swab?

I've not seen that before. I'd contact the manufacturer of the swap to see what they say. I don't want to advice incorrectly and you get sick.

Why my toothpaste paste tests positive? It turns purple, is there any know false positive? I recommend you to test your tubes as well.
