Ruyi roaring like a lion is the best thing I've seen in this show; She's calm like a stream of water but can quiclly become a fierce storm when someone touches the palace and the integrity of the throne. I just love how she just showed that nobody can mess with her and get away with it! LO-VE IT!
This is like the only time we see Ruyi lose her temper and exercise her power as Empress. Like a boss as well lol. Now we just have to put up with the fact that she loses favor and Lady Wei gets promoted to Imperial Consort 🙄😫👎

They could’ve had the princess taken away from the ex empress then she wouldn’t be as evil as her evil mother just like with consort ling’s daughter who was taken away from her and had her adopted to consort ying but because she is legitimate they don’t even do anything and the emperor either doesn’t know or he doesn’t care

She stated that it is good that Ling gui fei was taken out before her son became an emperor because she deserved to die. So, the truth and Ruyi is a bit different. I personally like Wei Yan Wan a lot because she is beautiful and very ambitious. To survive in the place like that, it is required to be strong and do whatever you can to thrive to the top, especially when we have no back up nor anything to lose.
