Title: "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace"ep63-2
The road to becoming an empress is paved with treachery. Ruyi (Zhou Xun) is a consort who quickly learns to navigate the treacherous politics of the the royal court and move up the ranks. After becoming Empress, Ruyi still must survive the many conspiracies against her. Her relationship with Emperor Qianlong (Wallace Huo) becomes eroded even when Ruyi is able to overcome the challenges. Can Ruyi maintain her role as Empress under such difficult circumstances? “Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace” is a 2018 Chinese drama series directed by Wang Jun. It is adapted from the novel Hou Gong Ru Yi Zhuan by Liu Lianzi and is a sequel to the critically acclaimed 2011 television drama “Empresses in the Palace.”

That boy loved his mother and she threw that precious gift away.
Yep sure did
I have a feeling that Consort Yu's true love is Ruyi. She doesn't love the emperor, she's even lukewarm towards her son. The only person she's willing to do everything was Ruyi
I think that was Ruyi child before she was sent to the cold palace
@@eroupopper Ruyi helped to raise Yonghuang, the first prince, before she was sent to the Cold Palace. Yongqi was born after Ruyi got out of the Cold Palace, and she helped Consort Yu raise Yongqi while Yonghuang was raised by Noble Consort Chun.
I agree with you, Virana! I can’t speak for anyone else, but I read it as Hailan holding romantic love for Ruyi. I mean, she spends her entire life caring for her to the point where, when Hailan gives birth, her first words are to Ruyi: “I’ve given us a prince”.
(I think Ruyi loves Hailan as a sister, but Hailan’s got a massive straight-girl crush on Ruyi.)
@@cloverazar5315 Previously, Hailan had asked Ruyi to foster her son for his safety. I believe she was referring to that when she said that after birth.
@@athenastewart9167 true, and I see your point. But we also have to consider that the only reason Yongji even exists is because Hailan chose to court the Emperor’s favour specifically to 1) become powerful enough to help free Ruyi, and 2) to support Ruyi once she has been freed.
After all, Hailan deliberately poisons herself - and her fetus, specifically - with Cinnabar in order to frame A’ruo and release Ruyi. She was prepared to risk killing her son to free Ruyi.
I mean, I’m close with my friends… but not that close.
I love the shift in Hailans eyes even towards her own son the moment he may be a threat to Ruyi when he asks about the baby’s gender. Hailan really dedicated her life to Ruyi and it seems like that bond was even above her bond with her own son.
@BlackVenus after all Hailan had Yongqi FOR ruyi
Hailan saw Ruyi as sister and though may have had a few moments of bad thoughts brought on by others bad intentions, she knew Ruyi never held ill will towards anyone and so honored that intention and bond always. Hailan is the sister everyone needs.
@@georgiegal6745 If only the Emperor had Hailan's mindset.
@@PungiFungi If only the emperor had a "mind" at all 😂
Anyone notice how Jia Fei refuses to swear but when Hailan says she should swear on the glory of her clan and her children, she immediately says Hailan was cursing her clan? It wasn't because she attacked Hailan that the Emperor went after Jia Fei. It was because she didn't notice she had admitted her guilt by saying those words to Hailan. This is one of the best drama sequences ever. Fantastic acting
I love how Hailan always makes the villains swear that they didn’t do it and they almost always choke up or stutter in guilt.
However, she can be defeated in the same way. She did kill Empress Fucha's first son, and her plotted to take down two princes from becoming the heir to the throne forever, so if someone use the same method on her, making her swear on the life of Ruyi and her son's life, that she has never harmed, plotted and killed any prince, she would choke on it too.
@@baileyguan7457 Jia was in on that death too. So it's hard to tell which was successful. Everything Hailan did was for Ruyi.
Hailan did not kill 7th prince, Mei did
Hailan did sort of help kill the prince with asthma, while Ruyi was in the cold palace and she was pregnant she had special plants placed in her room so when the emperor visited the prince AFTER screwing her the pollen would be carried to him via the emperor. But I think Hailan could easily take the oath. It really seems, even towards her own son, Hailan would put Ruyi above all. So she’d cast herself into hell and her son as long as it wasn’t against Ruyi. Like the look on her face when he asks the gender of the baby..
@@nullnull4010 I said the empress' first son, which is the 2nd prince.
I love Yu fei’s teaching is the best, she never wanted her son to usurp crown seat or colluded in princes competition, even if she knows Yongqi might have chance to the throne, instead she teaches him how to be an expert and excellent, so people will admire you naturally and paid respect.
honestly I dont know why would you child to be an Emperor. Seems like a shitty life. Better to be some weathy Duke somewhere and live in peace. For a mother it's also better....Live the end of your days without all this infighting. I honestly feel bad for an emperor (his character is bad but I can imagine the pressure and responsibility on him )
yeah and he would’ve been next in line but he died young
@@electroandcake6658 It’s mostly because they want to be Empress Dowager. If their sons just became dukes, they’d still be forced to reside in the palace as “dowager consorts.” They’d end up powerless and old, pawns or worse. The Empress Dowager title provided autonomy, power and safety.
Oh yes she did. Remember at the first empress memorial service, she told Youngi not to cry and the other concubine heard her and told her son to also not cry. The emperor got mad and told her that her sons would never get the throne. Yu fei was sweet and close to Ryui but she did her dirt too.
@@velisagorham8453 I think you missed the point of that scene. Hailan told her son that in front of Noble Consort Chun’s son on purpose so that he would act that way and get in trouble with the emperor. She never intended for her son to actually not cry in order to fight for the throne. In fact Ruyi got in trouble with the dowager empress after Hailan did that because the dowager assumed Hailan and Ruyi were in it together
Yongcheng: Mother, I don’t want to be crown prince, y just want you.
Priceless ♥️
Hailan is no dummy tho. She’s a survivor first and foremost, and teaches her son very well. “If you’re going to be anything, be an exceptional subject to your father.”
She and Ruyi taught Yongqi very well. Even Empress Dowager said it.
Have a harem they said, it will be fun they said.
Lmao
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
😂 🤣
exactly 😄 so much peace
It’s a lifestyle they said.
It’s so satisfying to see how much Hailan’s character has grown..how she’s already toughen up and stand up for herself here..such a long journey from her old days of the pitiable crying, heavily bullied character that was looked down by other evil harem women including that Lady Jia
J
I love Hailan but she got so hardened that even Ruyi was shocked by her capacity for ruthlessness and became saddened. But then again, if Hailan didn't do all the things she did to protect Ruyi, how far would Ruyi have gotten by being stoutly principled and refusing to stoop to dirty means to fight back? Ruyi was constantly being framed for serious crimes and, unfortunately, a lot of the times good people don't get justice because they're reined in by their ethics while bad people aren't restrained by such morals. So I'm glad that Ruyi had Hailan to back her up. Hailan was willing to go where Ruyi won't.
@@opheliamaples yeah I found that to be the real love story, Hailan was the most loyal and loving of Ruyi. Hailan at many times risked her own life (replacing the bracelet if caught would’ve got her killed) and she here made it clear she wasn’t happy her own son asked about the baby’s gender as if he was a threat to Ruyi. And didn’t she give her son to Ruyi to raise?
@@Catherine.Dorian. hard agree! She told Ruyi - literally as she’s bleeding to death after the labour - “I gave you a Prince.”
Like, my best friend’ll give me a hand moving a couch but like… that’s love.
And I SO agree with Ophelia Maples. Ruyi gets to keep her hands and conscience clean because of Hailan. Ling Yunche even says as much when Hailan comes to say farewell; he understands the necessity and appreciates that Hailan will take the necessary steps to protect Ruyi once he’s gone.
(I’m also a shipper so for me their discussion about the various types of love was sort of a hmmmmm for me - he’s Ruyi’s platonic buddy, Hailan’s her not-platonic buddy - and they just seemed to be equally devoted to Ruyi.)
And talk about the long game. Check this out - Hailan never fights for favour; she accepts that she’s lost it after her stretch marks appear. Instead, she focuses on being trusted and relied upon by the Emperor - she becomes his quiet, no-stress, low-maintenance companion throughout the years. He knows Hailan doesn’t want to fight for favour and trusts her judgement -
So sis spends twenty years building up credibility with this dude she doesn’t really like, specifically so she can help Ruyi whack Wei Yanwan.
/novel in the comments lol
@@cloverazar5315 it may be a novel but I love it! And I couldn’t say it better myself
Can we just admit that Hailan is one tough lady? Before, she wouldn't even say a word. Now, she's like Ruyi's advisor and mouthpiece. Nothing on her to lose.
When she was still an attendant, often crying and bullied. But she quickly became a fast-learners and navigates the intric of Harems and ranks up with her power, slowly but sure. She had a long lifeline in Harem, much longer than any of notable consorts. Too bad, I wish she could be an empress dowager who lived long...
Who will be the empress after ruyi
@@lucykhonglah497 No one, in history. but emperor sets the highest in harem, was Ling fei, became huang guifei, authority to manage the inner court, and later after ling fei’s son ascended to the throne, he posthumously elevated her deceased mom as Empress Xiaoyichun, from what I’ve learned.
What happened to hailan after ruyi die?
@@adriennealbert4328 just getting old in her palace...
This is when Jia should’ve kept her mouth shut. She didn’t learn nothing from her last punishment, you not poppin like that no more and to top it the emperor is on to your schemes. You only asking for it.
Jia has always been cocky because she had the backing of her clan. This is why she often got off with the lightest punishments, like that time she started the rumor of Ruyi's affair with a monk and the Emperor only punished her with isolation in her own palace for 6 months. She became more and more arrogant after having her sons and having them favored for the crown.
What also sucks is that the tipping point for the Emperor to truly punish her was when he nearly got assassinated in the Mulan grounds. He's willing to punish them to the full extent if its about his own safety and not when others are harmed. He sucks just as much as everyone
@@thisthingcalledlove8 qszzm
You would think she would have learned after she was whipped
Her mouth is reckless 💀
@@Ashley-vs8nu the worst part is that her son advised her to be quiet after getting released. He knew they were walking on thin ice and she was so blind with power that she went straight to the ice hole.
I seriously love how the entire harem gets in on telling Jia to frick off now, after she bullied and schemed on all of them so much.
Wowww... This is a smart and thoughtful scene. They paired the fall-down of Noble Consort Jia with Ruyi's ritual of wardrobe changing. Which actually means that Noble Consort Jia was "stripped down" by the emperor so that she could not hide anything more. It also means that Noble Consort Jia loses her chances to be the Empress.
Yes! The timing of the scenes was on point!
👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Excellent writing!! Beautiful directing
Boy she acted her ASS off in that scene when the emperor was kicking her out!! I this scenes and me so invested
Consort Jia portrays a less than likable character, she is one fine actress. She makes you dislike her in every scene. Congratulations to the woman playing the role. Sorry I don't know her name.
Her name is Xin Zhilei

Even when she’s not talking, you can see exactly how she’s feeling with her expressions. So subtle yet effective. She’s my new favorite actress. The actress who plays Ruyi too. Both are so stunning and such great actresses.
People talk about Jia's actress getting her hand caught in the door, while that was amazing to see happen and be kept in the take, the best thing about that to me is it looks like the guys playing the guards shutting the door were about to check if she was ok, but *she closes the doors on them to keep it in the take* thats just brilliant to me lol
when that door closed on Jia's hand oh my 😱 good on the actress for finishing the scene but her scream was real oh the poor lady
YEDS
16:20 😢
I literally flinched watching her hand get caught in the door
omg I didn't realize her hand got stuck till I read your comment lolol
I love this clip for a lot of reasons... but I think my favorite is when Ronpei asks Ruyi if they should stop the Emperor and Ruyi says no, to let him vent his anger. I don't think people do this as often as they should; just let people vent their anger at those who deserve it. It just shows how truly wise Ruyi really is.
Can we have a moment to appreciate the actor playing Yongchen, when he was separated from his mother..👏👏👏. If anyone loved me like that I'd have everything 💕
At 16:28, Xin Zhilei's hand gets caught in the closing of the double doors. I'm assuming it's not part of the scene (and is done in a single take), but it inadvertently adds to the realism of it all. Also, damn if that didn't hurt while not forgetting her lines. What an actress!
I was about to say that but YESSSS
She hurt her hand in real life doing that scene
@@justshanie101 IKR?
Yes it looked so real. I hope she didnt get hurt
@@kimhisham8018 it's real. There's a BTS clip of Zhilei being given first aid on her hand and she's just like, wanting to go over the next take.
One of the things I like about the succession to the throne is that the emperor wasn't simply confined to his first born son, as it is in the West. The emperor could choose anyone that he saw fit to be his successor. A younger son, his brother, a nephew, or a son in law.
Hence the infighting...
@@minhtue90 That's true. 😕
On the other hand, the extra stress in the palace with all the scheming! At least in western kingdoms/empires, first born LEGITIMATE son was indisputably the heir. And if he predeceased his father without having any of his own children, then the second son and his children, if any, etc. For kingdoms that allowed a daughter to rule (not all did. What a shame… would’ve spared them some succession headaches), then it went to the oldest daughter and so forth. It was pretty unlikely that an illegitimate child would be King or Queen. So, the west’s ways might’ve made scheming in the kingdom a little harder - not impossible but harder.
@BlackVenus - the ottoman way was brutal.
True the emperor can choose whoever he wants to succeed him but there is a system of succession in place developed by Qianlong’s father Yongzheng called the secret designation of the crowned prince. where the emperor will write name of his successor on pieces of paper sealed in a box one kept by him the other will be hidden in the hall of heavenly purity. Once the emperor passed trusted officials will find these scrolls of paper and if authentic the new emperor will be revealed
Jia makes you hate and feel heartbreak for her at the same time. What an amazing actress!!!
The prince that was standing outside of the building listening to all that looked startled as hell, and I don’t blame him
Yeah, with all that yelling and screaming, even a young boy understands it’s better to make yourself scarce while no one’s looking than to make your appearance.
The people that play as Yongcheng and Jia are wonderful actors. I actually teared up at their parting.
I find this scene telling as Jia finally sees all she’s done unravel. Even Yongcheng was not falling for her schemes anymore and he probably knew something would happen to him as he followed her lead and guidance for so long.
and he was the longest leaving children of jia's along with her other children
I love this scene sooo much, I’ve watched it repeatedly!
*my girl Hailan standing over Jia like she’s casting a curse over her, all power, not so much as a frown. She’s down for her girl Ruyi and the others that have been hurt. And the love and care she has for her son, if only Jia were paying attention instead of scheming all the damned time.
*Now Jia, that actress can ACT, cause whether she’s scheming or begging for her children, or cursing another consort out, you BELIEVE it’s real! She is STUNNING and soooo pretty and looks like a living Bratz doll, yet also has a perfect face for a villain. How, though?
*Ling DOESNT have a villains face, but damn if she’s not worse! She also acts her a$$ off. Throwing in little side comments against Jia knowing full well she had some parts in that even though Jia hadn’t a clue.
*And Mr. Hong Li… oh how I hate him! Garbage husband, garbage father, head so far up his own a$$, he continues to hurt the only one who never wanted anything from him but his heart. But Mr. WALLACE? Acting his A$$ OFF!!! I LOVE this cast!!!
💯
Towards the end ling does start to look evil too. Especially when she was choking her maid out. Jia, and ling are two of my favorite villains. #1 is camilia from queen of the south.
You can see who is genuinely pleased for Ruyi and who is jealous. I'm just glad that, even though many at one time or another would wish bad things for her, she always had Hailan. Hailan is the ultimate BFF everyone needs
Jia: even if my sons aren’t that great, they’ve inherited their ancestors luck :)
Everyone at 2:35: this women truly is delusional 👀👀👀
It was against court rules to compare the princes to former emperors. It equated to the princes trying to overthrow the current emperor. That's why they looked at her like that bc she was making comments punishable and harmful to her and her children.
Yeah, they all looked around at each other and at Ruyi with that look that said, “Oh no she didn’t!”
@@hazelgreeneyz7218 Yo I didn't even know the rules of the empire while I was watching this but even I could tell she fucked up, just digging herself (and saddly her children) into a deeper hole
no.4 and no.8 lmao she forgot there's Yongqi the mambo no.5
@@rubeccawong7146 Yongqi being the 5th son has nothing to do with this. Noble Consort Jia was saying that 4 and 8 (two of her sons being the 4th and 8th princes) are lucky numbers because Hong Taiji (the founder of the Qing dynasty and Qianlong's great-great-grandfather) was Nurhaci's 8th son, while the current Emperor and his own father, the Yongzheng Emperor, were both the 4th sons.

Jia the ONLY one fanning herself.
She is fanning like a Southern belle, sitting on the veranda sipping mint juleps...
Ok why is no one talking about Ruyi asking if her daughter reincarnated herself? That brought tears to my eyes.
Concubine Ying (9:49) cracks me up. She slaps everyone with the truth and doesn't need Emperors backing as she's the princess of a powerful clan.
I'd love to hang out with her, Hailan and Ruyi. Those three would have taken over the world.
Ryui went through pure hell for this man.
Hailan is not for play-play when it comes to her sister..you will get all those hands 😂😂..she set the stage for Jai to cut her own throat 😅😂 BRILLIANT 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I live for Yongcheng's broken cry for his mother once the doors were closed.
Jia's loyalty to his first love leads to her downfalll and I just pity Yongcheng to be used as pawn by his mother to appease her Lordship.
Yep and that man didn't give a crap about her.
And it was all for nothing.
🤦♀. Jia had the opportunity to lick her wounds and lay low but she didn't. Instead, her loyalty to "His Lordship" cost her not only the Emperor's favor but her own son to abandon her.
I feel so bad for Yongcheng and the fact that he had a terribly scheming woman for a mother.
Again, Hailan doesn't disappoint though.
please help me understand, how did she use her son as a pawn ? For what?
Did she not want him to inherit the throne? if so... how's that any different from all the other wives desire? (other than of course, killing all them kids )
@@Ebizzill Note; nowhere in my comment did I say pawn. The only thing I highlighted on was the fact that Jia ruined one son and basically screwed over the other. Nowhere did I say that Yongcheng was ever used as a pawn.
Jia spent so much of her time trying to please this other dude that she never gave thought to what could happen should she fail. And fail she did.
Not only did she lose her standing but she lost her sons! One lost his place in line for the throne(though Jia did have a hand in it), was stricken from the imperial clan, and publicly denounced by the emperor. But hey, at least he got to marry the woman Jia chose, right?
Of course what she did is no different from how any other woman would have. But Jia had a chance to sit back and nurse the wounds that she had been given and think of a new plan. She didn't. She went full steam ahead and ruined her life and that of her sons.
Yongcheng isn't a pawn. If anything, he's a soul that should be pitied when you have a mother who cares for little else but proving to others how much power she holds.

It's easy to see that many of the consorts and concubines formed a healthy positive bond and relationship with each other and the empress, Noble Consort Jia is one of the poisonous elements that has been causing problems for everyone who lives and works in the palace not just for the consorts and concubines as a person's wickedness effects everyone. I feel truly sorry for her both her sons as in the end they were only pawns in her twisted game.
At the start of the series, Jia was "close" to the prior Empress, so she and her group "ruled" the harem and terrorize the other consorts and concubines as they wanted. Hailain had learned early on that the Emperor wanted everyone to remember they were a subject 1st and then whatever other title second -even the Empress. Thus by being the perfect subject and excelling, Yongqi would have a good change at the crown prince position. However if he had power played to get named crown prince he wouldve ended up like his older brothers. --That was the point that Jia and others constantly overlooked. She also squashed it when Yongqi was getting ready to calculate possibly on the new baby by reminding him that it was the Royal mother who d raised him along with herself.
I think if I were Hailan, I would not tell Yongqi you could never be the Emporer. You just need to be low profile and definitely never request it. Even someday there is an offer, you need to reject it three times before finally accepting it. Yeah, this is Chinese culture.

@@jjs5802 《如懿传》... 这部剧是小说改编,跟《甄嬛传》小说是同一个作者
Poor Jia! They smashed the actresses' poor hand and she stayed in character!
16:26 Her hand is really smashed in the door.
辛芷蕾是個優秀的演員👍👍👍
太监关门那里明显夹手了,还在演,很敬业
16:28 阿 淦
Jia wasn't sent to the cold palace even with the emperor's rage at her actions. That is about the only leniency she should ever expect after everything she plotted, helped with, or ordered herself.
Honestly she really got off too easy given what she did. Towards the end, she was just locked up in her palace. 😒 but of course the greatest punishment for her was probably knowing the Joseon King that she revered and loved abandoned her and claimed she was some unknown child.
@@ebonyloveivory Which might have been much worse. She's basically labeled a bastard of unknown origin. Ouch.
I think the emperor permanently got rid of the whole cold palace thing as an apology to Ruyi. The new thing is to keep them secluded in their own palace instead.
@@alif315 He did, yes. But given how much Ruyi and the rest suffered, she wasn't tortured as much, or at all actually.
@@ebonyloveivory she was cast aside by both her country and the emperor. Kept from her kids and their families. Her country used her to be friendly with China and put an heir part theirs on the throne. Family registry is very serious in Korea even today. Basically they said that this respectable person they gave to the emperor was not respectable all along. She was their pawn. There is more to her story, they should have gotten their titles back. All along given more sons born they would not have accepted her kids as emperor.
It’s so many layers of clothing in summer🤣
Omg I'm hooked!!! It's taking me for ever to watch each episode. I have to keep stopping to read the subtitles. I'm American but I have been hooked to my phone for the past 6 hours watching. But what happened to the beautiful princess in the beginning???
The actress who played Jia was phenomenal! They chose the right actress!
永城是個好孩子,可惜這母親讓他連皇子都不是,從叫皇阿瑪改成叫皇上。他蠻孝順的
Man what's with me loving all the mean women in these dramas. I tend to cheer for them more than the MC lol. Maybe its because I love how the actresses slay their roles.
Love this seen where the Emperor is talking to his Royal Mother.
Yet Nobel Consort Jia is whining and complaining while waiting.
One of my favorite scene with the Emperor. (So glad they picked him to be the Emperor). Really fit the part so very well.
Love Keliyete Hailan.
Damn...saw what some of yall meant by the actress hurting her hand.
I dont even think that cry of pain was in character 8l. But she just kept at it.
Mad love for the Jia actress. Mega mad respects
What the hell is this and why am I just finding it now love it
看到這就覺得 衛嚥碗很可惡!害死一個景兕還容不下如懿無辜的孩子🤬
Interesting facts: Most of the actresses in the harem were in their 20's, except Ruyi who was in her 30's. The real average age of the harem was 14-16. It is no wonder the court was so petty and scheming, it was a high school drama.
Ruyi, Jia, Hailan and Consort Shun would have also been in their thirties. Since they came in very shortly after Ruyi ‘married’ the emperor when he was still the crown prince. But even back then Jia was scheming, so you’re right; it was a high school drama.
@@acey2481 I think you misread my post. The REAL harem, all of them, including Ruyi would have been teenagers. However, the ACTRESSES that portrayed them were all in their 20s, except for the actress that played Ruyi, who was in her 30s. Real harem: young teenagers Modern actresses that played the harem: 20s and 30s. Hope that clears it up.
@@PrincessofErised ah yep! I definitely misinterpreted your original post! Thanks for the clarification
If people watched the behind the scene, you see that Jia’s hand getting caught in the door was by accident while taking this shot. I think it’s so funny how they kept this shot (with her hand getting caught in the door).
I don't know why the emperor like legitimate heir so much. Himself is not a legitimate son. His father(previous emperor) is also not a legitimate son. They always choose heir on the basis of your ability, not who your mother is. Actually there are five emperors before Qianlong in Qing dynasty, none of them is a legitimate heir.
Having a legitimate heir become the next emperor was important for many emperors to stabilize their reign and legacy.
I don't know why either . It seems to me that being illegitimate doesn't actually stop them from inheriting the throne. But although this Emperor wasn't born by the legitimate wife,he was adopted by the current Queen Dowager which surely gave him a boost.
that's precisely why he wants a legitimate heir. bc his father and him were both from consorts rather than the then empresses, it's a "pity" for the current emperor that he wasnt born from an empress' stomach. it's technically the emperor's unfulfilled wish that he's imposing on his empress(es)
even if the emperor is born illegitimate, wouldn't he be adopted by a close imperial clan member or even a long-dead previous emperor as his legitimate son for him to ascend the dragon throne in the first place?
@@user-ix1rp9ff3p yes. Usually. There have been few exceptions in the past.
Lady Jia, you had the option to lay low and actually do something good. You had your kids but you decided to use them for your own gain. Dahel were u thinking?
She was doing her duty.
She’s blinded by love. She tried to become the empress, make her son the crown prince all because she wanted to impress the king of yu (her love).
@@Yx6583 yeah I got that part, but like.... bish think of your kids at least. (Also, love the profile pic. M'not a blink but she looks hella cute there)
@@IvanIsYda_ yea lmao her son felt so betrayed and he didn’t even visit her the day after his marriage // haha thks rosé is Super adorable :))
Thank you so much for the english subtitles. 😻💖

嘉貴妃:你竟敢詛咒我們母族!你這個賤人! 賤人!賤人!然後被皇上踹飛 那一幕覺得很好笑
for the first time I feel pity for jai. all mothers will so whatever it takes to protect her children. she wasn't doing anything that the rest of the Haren we're doing. she just got outsmarted
I work with a bunch of women.. i don't know why but I felt so much better after watching these episodes.
夾到手了,辛苦
I noticed the doors slammed hard into her hand....
okay i need a wikipedia expert for this story line,
why was the king angry at Jia's wife choice for her son?
Because the person she chooses who a descendent of the imperial family, in hopes of strengthening her sons claim to the throne. The Emperor got angry that she was “cheating/bribing” for her son, because everything’s is “supposed to be fair” when it came to the tile of crown prince. To cut it sort it sounded like she was cursing the emperor to die
Not only is she a part of the imperial family already (which would strengthen his ties to the court and make him a favorite ) but she calls her a "Phoenix" a title exclusively used for Empresses. She's essentially setting up her son to be crown prince and future Emporer.
