  • Look out sinuses! This is a shower steamer that is sure to pack a punch! In this video, I show you how to make a very strong shower steamer that holds up perfectly in your shower. Shower steamers are great aromatherapy, especially during the cold and flu season. This shower steamer can be used anytime, however, it can be very soothing to place one on the shower floor if you have a stuffy nose and cough. This recipe took a very long time to perfect. In this demonstration I am using the bath bomb press, however, no fancy equipment is needed to make these, you can simply hand press them into whatever mold you want. I like the cube shaped mold that goes along with this press because it has a flat bottom, perfect for setting in the shower.

    I love shower steamers and so my customers, I use a Brambleberry square silicone mold for mines since I don’t have a bath bomb press. They always sold out so quickly at the fair this time. Thank you for the decoration tip, will try it. I dissolve my menthol crystals in my essential oils

    Happy New Year, Cory! Looking forward to spending the rest of the year following along. Maybe you'll get a chance to do the peel off facial mask recipe that I challenged you with last fall! I'd love to see your riff on this.
    Wonderful recipe to start the new year off with. Happy formulating!

    I have a question Cory. I received the camphor and going to try it in steamers. My question regards how much in comparison with eucalyptus oil to add. I don’t want to overload and I have post-Covid nose. So, I can’t smell it so good. I understand if this is proprietary. I’ll do 50/50. Ty for suggesting camphor. I’m excited

      In this recipe, I use the menthol crystals, the camphor and the eucalyptus in equal parts and they act as most of the wetting agent for this formula.

    Thank you for a wonderful video! I was just wondering…if I want to make something more relaxing like lavender or ylang ylang. Menthol wouldn’t complement. Is there something else? Because not using menthol, I’m guessing will also affect the texture and hardness.

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  Před rokem

      Thank you. Yes, you can use a different combo of essential oils. It may affect the outcome so try it on a very small batch and then see if you need to adjust the liquid content.

      We don’t feel that $5 is a lot to ask for any one formula, especially considering the amount of time, money and effort that goes into formulating great recipes. Also, with the $5, you get 3 years of archived recipes at your disposal. We understand this may not be for everyone, have a nice day.
