I want to see Perturabo come back at the head of a whole iron warriors empire, possibly allied with Vashtor and the Dark Mechanicum to make a sort of Drukari esque triple threat faction. Bonus points if Fabulous bill is in on the action. I can just imagine them recreating the trick where some iron warriors kidnapped a tyranid bioship, inflicted it with the Obliterator virus, mind slaved it and fly it around like a normal ship, and redoing that on an idustrial scale to farm ships by baiting tyranids into their terriroty. I think having a faction with these 4 groups together would make a very impressively varied and interesting faction. Would also be an interesting way to have a faction that is chaos but not just chaos undivided, but chaos specifically not aligned with any of the 4 major gods all forming a coalition.

    • @fedupN

@@MiniatureMasterClass It is an obvious plot hook with a pure Fulgrim capable of redeeming his Legion or causing a civil war/confronting his Daemonic self just sitting in stasis somewhere.
Guilliman, for example, was a waiting plot point for decades while SITTING IN STASIS.
The Angel remains a plot point despite being quite dead thanks to the Sanguinor and his angry ghost self aboard the Vengeful Spirit.

      @JD86Vintage Před 11 měsíci +1

It's going to be fulgrim. He's needed to complete the chaos gods and the noise marines are so far out of date it's not funny.
Having said that... my wish is for Omegon, leading an upgraded Primaris hoard. Made from the gene seed tech stolen from the Ravenguard that the Emperor gave them to rebuild rapidly after Istavan wiped them out. But also utilising the Primaris tech stolen from or frankly made by Cawl with Alpharius gene seed but gone wild.
It would be a great way to balance the scales between chaos and the hundreds of loyalist models we've got. Most of the law says the Chaos warbands are using HH tech... this gives them an opportunity to have a modern legion with new or even more advanced tech (it's the Alpha Legion after all) than the imperial marines.
Also... I think a plastic, true scale, scaled Alpharius/Omegon model could be the best Primarch sculpt 😅 In the meantime I will continue to field my "Omega Ghosts" Primaris army using either Guilliman or the Lion's rules as a standin for my FW Alpharius 😂🤣😂

Compare that to the other three gods of chaos who (now) each have their own codex, troops, elites, champions and oh yeah, a plastic daemon Primarch each. They might be fit for purpose, but it's going to be them that gets an army update/Primarch next. They're the only one of the four chaos god armies left to do, it's happening and my guess would be they're the next chaos legion done. It would be a bit like doing dark angels, space Wolves and then leaving blood angels alone. Sure it might take a while, but you know they're getting the update before the white scars.

But it also gave him much to ponder on he said, Likely one of many reasons he went to meditate in his Cathedral. Then we also don't know just How isolated he was in his cathedral. Was he really just sitting 10k+ years sitting in there meditating? did Warp time dilation make it feel for him maybe just like a couple months? In addition he is a demon primarch, does he really feel the passing of time? Does he have special WB attendants that brought him reports of the outside world? did he let his mind wander the warp in meditation and observed the univerese? Hard to say. However I doubt he is oblivious to what has been going on with the Universe at large.,

I'd like to Omegon brought into the setting but in a subtle way. Maybe a few in person meetings with Guilliman. And as readers get to see him poking about being the scenes sometimes, while in lore it's just like a few Inquisitors and maybe G-man investigating him. A suitable and sneaky way for him as opposed to the rest of the demon Primarchs at the head of their legions.
And for a model I think something like the Celistant Prime from AoS would be cool. In lore when he deploys with any Stormhost his armor changes to the color of that stormhost, so players can paint him as and use him with any host. Be a cool way to have a big Alpha legion-y marine that blends into any popular or obscure warband you might play.
Other then that, Perturabo would be cool.

He is a brilliant strategist and would certainly bring great ruin upon the foes of Chaos. That being said, I feel like he will return if Chaos starts being beaten. He seems like a character used to turn the tide.
Fulgrim (if I recall) has already been rumored to be at work in the galaxy. His appearance seems more like a "when" than the others. He will probably show up some time around Dorn returning since they had a rivalry.

Fulgrim WILL be the next Traitor Primarch to come to the forefront/tabletop. It’s obvious from a Doylist perspective; he’s the last of the four, Noise Marine upgrades are from 2002, the Lucius model is not just old but fugly, and they just made a new animation to show off how cool the Emperor’s Children can be.
Beyond Fulgrim though? It has to be Perturabo. Out of all the Traitor Primarchs of Chaos Undivided, he is the most popular by far. Not to mention that his lore ties into both the setting and other legions far more directly than any of the others, aside for Lorgar. What other traitor Primarch is known for their eternal beef with one Loyalist Primarch while wielding the weapon of a completely different Loyalist? Plus he represents the heavily armored niche that’s currently very absent from the CSM range.
Speaking of Lorgar, while he and his legion are super interesting (if awful as people) and are key to the setting, I see their direct involvement more near the end if not the very last Traitor Primarch.
As for my personal pick, there’s one question I’ve had recently that I haven’t found an answer for: does anyone know where Konrad Curze’s body is? Or what state it’s in? Or if a powerful Daemon (like Belakor, finally give the guy something in the setting) could just perform a ritual on it and make it fit for possession?

Lorgar has the most potential for story-telling, imho. As the "biggest" devotee of the Chaos Gods, he's best placed to really escalate ALL conflicts into the stratosphere, by corrupting entire regions and fighting against the "divinity" of the Emperor - c'mon the added story of him fighting against his own book would be great! He's also the last Primarch that could/should be redeemed - as it would very much need the Emperor to show him his absolute folly of believing in Gods, which would also need the Emperor to show how he really REALLY isn't one, which can only happen right at the very end (which we'll never get to!!). Finally, his own goals & Abaddon's do not align, and as such although his Words and daemons pose a huge threat to the Imperium, he also creates a large rift within the Chaos forces that Abaddon will have to fight to maintain control of.
All of these points could be dipped in and out in future story-telling, with rifts, splinter groups, internal & external conflict... He just adds that much potential.
Lorgar may not be the strongest Primarch, but by 'eck he does a lot for story-telling!

  • @ianharrison5758

I want to see Lorgar return. His conflict with Guilleman is in a similar tier as with Fulgrim so we can explore how that aspect of their relationship will affect the galaxy in the modern era, and the potential nonsense that could come from whatever he learned/gained from his 10,000 years of isolation and meditation could add even more weight to the already heavy stakes that exist in the setting.
It will also be a great way to Segway into another loyalist primarch return, with Corvus Corax. Him or The Khan are next up in that regard imo, so having a narrative where Lorgar and Guilleman confront eachother in a big way, while The Lion either seeks out or is approached by the New form of Corax, who’s on the hunt for Lorgar personally. He could come in and save the lion from a particularly spicy chaos or Tyranid threat and make a silent return to the fold, which could then jostle other traitor primarchs who may have still be content to watch into feeling the need to intervene themselves given how dangerous Corax now likely is and Just how important Lorgars return will inevitably be.

    @spookyghostwriter3110 Před 11 měsíci

I’m going out on a bit of a wild tangent here, but I’ll say that Lorgar is my pick to be next. At the climax of the Plague Wars, a secret, damning piece of evidence ends up in the hands of a remembrancer that could really mess up Guilliman’s mojo. Moreover we learn of the Anchorite, who has shed blood for the first time in ten thousand years. What better force to exploit religious division than Lorgar?
But instead of Lorgar being fighting against Corvus, I want him to fight Perty.
Perty has aided Vastorr in getting his hands on the Key. It is secure, and they are hunting for the weapon. Are the other members of the Pantheon willing to add a fifth member to their ranks? I think not.
Word Bearers vs Iron Warriors as the loyalists fight one another over relevations 10,000 years in the making. Now that would be fun.

Want? I'm mostly indifferent. I mainly play Space Wolves, sometimes T'au, and sometimes Grey Knights. But for my friends that I play with, Fulgrim. And to me Fulgrim makes the most sense. He's out there in the story already and Chaos doesn't have a dedicated Slaanesh faction yet. Story wise? I think Lorgar would be the most interesting, but I don't really know what he'd bring to the table top that would make things change up.

It should be noted that there is still the rumor that Doom Eagles are made from Emperors Children loyalists. With Doom Eagles being the original name of the 3rd Legion at the start of Great Crusade. Especially after OG Raylor, Fulgrum may find surviving loyalist Emperors Children (even if just their gene-seed) an afront to his perfect 'betrayal'.

If Perty was interred in a body suit of armour akin to a dreadnought but shaped as a Primarch. And I'd love it if he had his bodyguard looking just like him and that Perty does battle with his bodyguards being mentally linked to his mind kinda like in tbe heresy. A bit of Alpha legion shenanigans but lethal by a seige masters mastery. Playing as the practical and proverbial game of chess that is 40k in the grim dark universe.

Perty would be cool also to see how the "long war" is getting along and could offer some cool stories. Omegon would offer some cool stories as well but since they write the alpha legion so weird and you never really get to know what's going on with them it's probably better he stays in the shadows

I'd most ike too see Perturabo just to see what he looks like if he's simply become a daemon Primarch or has become a hulking cybernetic monstrosity to try and extend his slowly dying body.
    But....
What I'd really and truly like to see is for the daemon Fulgrim to return and shortly before/after Clonegrim is either released or escapes from Trazyn's museum and returns to the Imperium were he encounters his brother Guilliman. Guilliman is of course very pissed because he still salty about whole having his throat slashed open thing and thinks that this some sort of trick or plot but he or possibly the Lion see's that this new Fulgrim is completely uncorrupted by chaos and eventually is given a new chapter made from his geneseed christened the Son's of the Phoenix to command while also being closely monitored by the Adeptus Custodes if he shows signs of betrayal again. You could literally have Good Fulgrim vs evil Fulgrim which would just be insane. I mean if the Lion is out there in Imperium Nihilus accepting the Fallen Angels back as risen Angels in direct contrast to the Dark Angels hunt and destroy all fallen agenda It might not even be that far fetched I think. I mean probably yeah but I can dream.

What if Perturabos Armor is what became the Daemon Prince? We know he had some obscure/heretical AI system for targeting and battlefield analysis. He had his android cyborg robot bodyguards too... Legitimate Men Of Iron!
So since we know how Perturabo is about Chaos/ being someones slave, we know that he was dying and Vashtorr and Daemon Engines are part of the lore. So because Perty needed life support but didn't want to go full daemon I say his AI controlled artificer Cataphractii Terminator armor is a Daemon Prince.
Even if he is a Daemon Prince and only took that deal to survive maybe Vashtorr can transfer the daemonic power from him to his armor after going for a swim in that 'Furnace of Forever Tortured Souls' or w/e its called.
After World Eaters they *need* a huge Iron Warriors update. Iron Warriors are classic late 90s and 2000s 40k. That would be awesome.

Omegon, but bring him back as full loyalist. With the Emperor giving Guiliman and Dark Angel dude the only ones that know he's loyal. So it changes nothing but have it look like the imperium is slowly beating back chaos, which leads to Fulgrim or Perty coming back. Last to come back should be Lorgar, who ends up finding out that Omegon is loyal and outs him back to being accepted by the loyalists. You still get the gist of the alpha legion until Lorgar comes back 20 years down the road. They can be played as loyalist or chaos. They'd be the most interesting faction as a new player to try out some chaos rules or imp rules.

Want: Curze - He'd bring a rogue element into the battlefield. They are against the Emperor, but not entirely Pro-Chaos. It would also be fun to see that maybe Curze had Ferrus locked up and had been torturing him for 10k years. Essentially everyone is scared of Curze and he could have new prophecies to declare.
Likely: It'll be Lorgar. He is the most boring of all the Primarchs and will likely have some really odd mechanics to shake up the Chaos Armies Codex.

Bringing both Alpharius AND Omegon back, side by side would be epic. Forget Horus and his wana be sucsessor Abadon.
This would put all the loyalist primarchs on edge for this is a threath non can let go, yet nobody has the firepower to take down on their own. Remeber, the legion they ruled never went for the Eye of teror, but is in real space in a 'space hulk' controled by them. Also, this, is not a warband, the counterpart of a chapter, nope. This is a LEGIO astartes, under it's twin primarchs.
These 2 in charge of their full legion, possibly bolstered with primaris seed and organs by the dark mechanicum is chaos most likely bet on a win in the Galaxy.

All the traitor Primarchs except Perturabo has made any real return to real space to soak havoc and "chaos" onto the galaxy, particularly with the Imperium and making their loyalist brothers dead/missing. ...Perturabo would seem the most effective I think, as the Iron Warriors can bring a great deal of raw power to any given area--that, & I don't think there has ever been an accurate estimate of their true numbers, so they could conceivably deploy in legion strength (which would be frightening).
