I have to admit, I am interested in the upcoming Last of the Jedi movie, and this supposed new Kenobi movie coming out too.. I personally enjoy all of them,

Well even when the movie first came out, we had already seen the original trilogy and knew that Anakin would get his redemption in the end. It doesn't just prepare for the next movie, it honors the legacy of the Star Wars franchise.

Honestly even the ending/credits music is much more powerful in here than in TROS. John Williams definitely tried here a lot more than he did. He even recycled the Binary Sunset version from the ending of TFA (which was derived from this movie’s version at the end). This is miles more impactful

But if Lucas didn't sale the company and made the sequels to his own with others directors like in the original trilogy but that is just that my supposition, i would have love to hear the A New Hope part in the final scene of Episode IX (as Lucas had always imagined even if I add a little of my own ideas ^^) where Leia, her son Samaël as the new balanced Jedi Master of the order, in his late 20s, and Luke's daughter, Kira as a full pledged Jedi Knight in her early 20s, accompanies RD-2D towards the Shaman of the Whills so that R2 hologram projects the story of the Skywalkers so that the Shaman can transcribe it in his journal starting with "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...". Leia, Sam and Kira smile movingly. Leia and Sam would then see the ghost of Anakin while Kira would observe the twin suns and through them, she would sense the presence of Luke and her mother Mara Jade, who would live in the microbiotic quantum dimension of the Force after their duel against a character similar to Abeloth and linked to the Whills in order to watch over, guide and protect the good beings and the developments that take place there, which would smile on their daughter, the latter in turn smiling with tears in her eyes but remaining brave and courageous to carry on her family's legacy and being the Sword of the Jedi protecting the Balance while Sam and her wife and children will bring fruitition to the Balance and Leia being the Chosen One to hold it.
