Fun fact: Mustafar wasn't originally going to be a lava planet. However, the mad man John Williams began composing on set, causing everything to catch on fire. Because Lucas had a tight schedule, he simply continued filming, and added CGI and models to make the fire fit in.

@@haoheanchan1763 the first cut isn't bad because there is a break in the duel, Anakin and Obi Wan are split and unable to fight for a moment, and it cuts to the other group
There's the cut of him waking up which has one of the best lines in the movie as well as show how insanely evil Sidious is, and the cut itself isn't bad
The third one cuts over to Yoda and Sidious in the senate chamber's center piece with the French Horn going into overdrive, and that cut ends with Sidious doing a slash that cuts perfectly into Anakin grabbing Obi Wan's throat
The fourth cut has the transitions to Duel of the Fates and shows a full on force battle between Sidious and Yoda, ending with Yoda falling.
It then cuts back to Anakin and Obi Wan for the tightrope part and the cover with the music in full overdrive, and while it cuts to a boring scene it's a necessary cut because of the way the cover scene ends, they're in a grapple lock after the most iconic shot of the movie, that's the perfect time to cut

@@samh7805 Adding to that, it was impossible to save the sequel trilogy from TLJ AND the death of Carrie Fisher. Say what you will about the Rise of Skywalker, but that they managed to include Leia in such large capacity using only deleted scenes and the like from previous movies is genuinely impressive.
So considering the skills of whichever editor managed to achieve that, could you imagine how much better the sequels would have been if there was an actual plan? If JJ hadn't had to try and recover his love letter to the OT from Rian, or if Rian had the freedom to explore his ideas in full rather than remove our preconceptions of the previous movies in one episode? Fucking damn it Disney.

That scene is a gut punch to me every time I watch it. It’s a minimal action but so impactful
FINALLY one with the cinematic version of the transition between "Anakin Vs. Obi" wan into Duel of the Fates. In the movie, the transition was a lot darker and fast paced than the Phantom Menace version of Duel of the Fates and none of the other soundtracks seem to get this.
Seeing the emotion on Obi wan while Vader burns always makes me tear up.
This was the best Star Wars movie, best lightsaber fight, arguably one of the best and most impactful scenes in movie history. Obi wan vs anakin scenes hit me in my soul. Plus this fucking soundtrack playing. Everything was absolute perfection

5:56 is my favorite, fucking hell it makes me cry every time, Obi-Wan literally reaching out to Anakin with the force while he pushes him away, and Obi-Wan's theme (the force theme) is drowned out by agonizing screams.

It's insane to think that Anakin was just a slave who wanted to be freed, to a boy fearing for his mothers life and safety. Then his dreams became true and he became a Jedi, but then met a woman whom he loved and ended up fearing for her life and safety as well, to becoming what he swore to destory, and knowing what he became and was doing was wrong, but continued in his anger. Then he did what he knew was best, and saved his sons life, redeeming himself and destroying what he created. It's a huge character arc that was thrown in the trash because "the prequels sucked" which I don't agree with.
Anakin Skywalker only became free once he was brought back from the dark by his son. He was no longer a slave to Watto, the Hutts, the Jedi, the Republic, his love for Padme, the Empire, the Sith or to Sidious. He was finally his own man.
And then he died.

IMO that may be the best way to watch SW - ignoring poor dialogues, just enjoying amazing music, perfectly set footage and overall drama of the plot.
