I love VV! If you do not book dinner reservations in advance you can book them on the day that you board the ship, usually around 3:30 or 4. The line is long but worth it if you didn’t book. You may have to be flexible with your dinning time but you can usually get in with all the restaurants.
Thanks for doing this review. You should try Royal Caribbean for your next cruise especially if you're traveling with your mom. We've scheduled a VV cruise for this upcoming February and all of the review videos I've seen is that VV is a party cruise line for adults. There's nothing much to do in the morning because people are out partying to the early morning hours and are sleeping in. The pro move is to schedule brunch and not breakfast reservations.
I went on VV back to back last year, Nov and Dec. I was very impressed. My first cruise ever was on Carnival. I’m an older person so I definitely prefer VV. The ship was clean, customer service was top tier. I booked with my travel agent so everything was booked well in advance. Your video was great, very informative
Activities in the morning were probably not packed since most adults party late, sleep in and have breakfast at 8 am. For your age group try Carnival. Also it depends on the VV cruise you were on. Try different cruise ships to see what works for you.
I have been told. Carnival is the next cruise line I want to try. I’m more of a night owl anyway so the late nights and late mornings were great for me!!
We are 39 and have been on 11 Carnival cruises. I'm a night owl and Carnival definitely fits for me. We are however going to try out Virgin next year as we've liked our adults only all-inclusive resorts and are curious as to how it is on a cruise line.
Yeah, daytime activities are lacking on all cruise lines except like you said gym activities. Carnival is too caught up on selling photo packages, art auctions, gift shop, jewelry sale in the daytime which is not interesting to me. Food is not good on Carnival either. Some food I had on Royal Caribbean was not great either, but it was better than Carnival. Royal Caribbean has better production shows as well, but dance parties are not going to be as good as carnival. Royal Caribbean caters to Latin people too much with the latin music. My advice is trying all cruise lines and see what fits you.
Unfortunately, you'll need to make reservations as soon as the window is open, which was at midnight for my cruise, and the app kept freezing because so many others were on it! That is one thing VV needs to revamp.
Omg!! You’re gonna have a blast. Like I said please book everything on the app ahead of time. You can always cancel it if decide you don’t want to go anymore
VV is really health conscious. Thats why all of those gyms are set up. I agree that Virgin could does better with daytime activities. Bingo..anything to give people their money's worth.
Thank you!!! You did an awesome job!! Going on the ship in less than 2 weeks. Travel with a black travel group of about 300 people so I’m sure we will make our own fun. Every review I’ve watched complained about the pool. My question is about the bar. Did they offer premium liquor or was it basic rum etc ???
So in other videos they said they always made a way for people who were not able to make reservations. Also if you have a restaurant that you like and you want to visit more than once have each person in group reserve it because you can only reserve once in restaurant per cruise.
I’m not sure if my cruise was more at capacity than those trips or if the people at the restaurants lied to us but we were told 3 times that they had no room for us. Once was at razzle dazzle for breakfast and the other 2 times were at the Wake once for breakfast and then again for dinner. I’m not sure about having other people in the group book at the same restaurant because we wanted to try different places since it was only 4 Nights.
Ok. I plan to use your tip and allow other people in my party to reserve the wake at least twice. Dinner and brunch …. However will it allow one person to reserve seating for multiple people. For instance, if I book on Monday can I book for 3 people. And if my friend books on Tuesday can she book for 3 people? Or does a reservation only cover one seat? Please help.
@@pinkcarterinc. I’m excited for you! Yes, you can make a reservation for more than just yourself. You will have to add them into your group and you can do this even if you all do not share a cabin.
@@pinkcarterinc. This is information that I got from others. That seems to be what they are saying. I was just confused by what she said in her video that her experience was not similar to others. I've never been on Virgin. But it would make sense that plus three does not necessarily have to be the same three, but it could. That's how I view it.
The galley is open 24/7. Most of the sections are closed but normally they have prepackaged salads and fruit. One of the days during my cruise I went and got a burger at 2am.
Well my cruise was May 29-Jun 2 of 2024 and they had an overall tab. You can use it for the spa, bar, gift shops… basically anything that cost money on the ship they just scanned your wristband.
@Precious.J. okay that's good to know. I watched a video and the vlogger stated that it's all sailor loot now ..however Virgin has yet to update that change on their site. Thanks for the response!
Sailor Loot is for everything; Bar Tab is just for drinks (bars, coffee drinks, juice bar, etc.). If you run out of Bar Tab and have Loot left, it will cover. Also good to know that a few optional things like Drink Pairings and Bottomless Brunch can use Bar Tab. Since they just announced higher Bar Tab offers with greater bonuses, you can get a bit better of a deal (but Bar Tab is use it or lose it!).
@@flowerchild1612 yes, she really liked the fact there were no kids. That was also our very first cruise so she’s also interested in seeing what the other lines are about.

Love this review. Id heard Virgin definitely caters to ages 35 and older (Im 50). Sounds like the morning is more for rejuvenation & chill
Yeah, I definitely agree. Even though I am only 28 I still had fun!

Im surprised you all didnt research before you planned a cruise of this caliber. Especially being a younger person.

Hi! I was wondering if the pool/hot tubs/gym were open 24/7 or do they close at a certain time? Also are there any restaurants open 24/7?

Not on cruise lines will allow you to bring on wine Norwegian will charge you a $15 corking fee per bottle
Oka, thanks!
I heard that Virgin has converted all money to Sailor Loot and no more Bar Tab?
