- The French are always known for incredible food and pastry - but can this also be served by an airline? Watch this 10 hour flight on Air France A350-900 to Atlanta, Georgia. Our seat in the first row offers lots of space and with the galley behind the business class cabin it is not that noisy as well. With the phantastic service by the crew, this flight and the airline as well, is highly recommendable.

For my trip to Japan, a month ago, I booked on the Air France website in my personal space, 3 round-trip tickets 5 months before.
Wanting to offer better seats to my family, I go on my reservation a few minutes after purchase and decide to buy seat options with more room for the round trip for more than 350 euros.
On the morning of check-in, I discovered that the 3 seats I had reserved for the one-way trip were not available (ditto for the return trip). I call customer service and I am told that my seat reservation, paid 5 months ago, is not associated with my tickets, and that I paid for seats on a reservation without tickets. I only had one file on my account.
So I found myself unable to fly comfortably and make my family happy. I had to wait 37 days to get my money back, and I have no compensation, no alternative, no excuse.
Of course, there was no specific place available anymore and I was almost told that it was my fault not to have noticed that the file references are not the same.
How can I know by going back to my customer area and going on my reservation and paying that the seats are not linked.
In addition, the customer service tells me that my seat reservation is no longer valid, but they did charge me for non-existent seats.
For AirFrance the customer is indeed the king... but the king of idiots.

Any idea why they changed my aircraft from the new business class product on 777 to the a350? Kind of bummed that I will not experience the new business class product.
Such a change, as annoying as it is, usually has operational reasons. Unfortunately, the passenger is then not entitled to the cabin layout that was displayed when booking. We have often been affected by such changes. Sometimes you get lucky and the hard product gets better, but often it got worse ;-)
The food on Air France is so pathetic I just used this company from Toronto to Paris and return-absolutely disgusting . We just came to Bangkok with Turkish (from Toronto) it was absolutely amazing food service .Don’t fly Air Chance fly Turkish if you can. The president of Air France is Canadian was purser on West jet not a fabulous airline so , Air France can do better…..
We were very happy with the taste of the food. But the presentation could be better. We particularly liked the Patisserie. The breakfast also impressed us on the short route (BER-CDG). Our next flight is with Turkish Airlines and since we've heard a lot of positive things about the food there, we're very excited - there will be a report ;-)

@@upintheair-travel Agreed, but we were all fooled by our governments, whom control the news and media. None of the celebrities' or politicians wore masks while nobody was looking. We should all take our freedom back and enjoy life without fear.
AF lost me as a customer 4 years ago,the flight attendants serve you the meal and disappear,i am talking in business class,they use to have a help yourself area,i now fly United Polaris yearly to France.
This is sad to read. Yes, unfortunately there are many differences in service, both positive and negative. Unfortunately, I had very bad experiences with Swiss. I wish you many more pleasant flights with good service

They have really upped their game in the last 2 years. Service is always excellent on Air France La Premiere and Business Class, as well.
