Honestly the fact that Radeon has everything in one app that doesn't require a login is one of the reasons as a PC builder I would normally always build systems with AMD gpus so I could preinstall the drivers on the windows image and not have to spend 30min explaining to end users how to do it with Nvidia.
Wait, if you're shipping someone an entire computer, why would you not just install the drivers? Rather than the user doing it.

Fun and crazy times since many don't even realize what is happening around them. It makes some sense that there's a lot of motion past an m&m machine and they thought it would be fancy to detect when someone is facing it to initiate a prompt screen. Also not necessary. This is a good example of why we need greater regulation of data privacy to increase public trust of technology going forward.

I've personally thought that the front glass on the Vision Pro is useless and just contributes to a higher price, unnecessarily. I get that it looks cool in photographs. But the eye feature is silly and in every video I've seen, the front screen looks terrible. It does not surprise me at all that it would also be fragile.
funnily enough it doesn't look cool in actual photos at all. It's way too dim to show up. In every picture of it that Apple uses in adverts it is actually a fake render of what they want the eyes too look like applied to the actual photo.

100% the cracking is from thermal changes. if the unit heats up or cools down too much/quickly the plasti-glass will crack. Same thing happens to my acrylic measuring cup when I add boiling water to it. Exact same kind of cracking.

I have acctually played doom on a husqvarna lawnmower, right now there is only 2 known in the world. And I was told the guy that first made it possible to install doom on them was a guy bored at work a rainy day with no customers, so he started to tinker with the lawnmowers and succssesfully installed a playable version of doom. I most say, it is fun and runs great. The record at the time was finishing the first level in 19 sec, I did it in 1 minute xD
The two existing lawnmowers with doom today are named BOB and BUB

Companies are making long-term investments by buying these gpus, but I don't see how nvidia is going to do stuff in the long term once demand dies out(even if it takes a while)

Some companies also design their own chips like Google tensors etc... and have TSMC or Samsung make them, so I'm not sure if this is sustainable for nVidia. Honestly... nVidia only designs the chips but TSMC makes them, I don't understand how TSMC isn't anywhere near such valuation. Someone please make it make sense.

Not only iPhone 15, most of the newer iPhone batteries are better. I had my se 2020 exceed 1000 charge cycles before losing capacity down to 80%. Currently at 76% with 1450 cycles after 3 years of use.
Counterpoint: My iPhone 14 Pro Max is sitting at 85% health after -390- 350 charge cycles after a year and a couple months
EDIT: 350, not 390. Checked it using the PowerUtil shortcut, which grabs the count from the Analytics file that you get if you leave analytics sharing turned on.

It's what is used to make lights auto turn on when you walk past.

if the 15 battery is this good then im just excited for the iphone 16 battery. its been a bit over a year now since the iphone 14 launch and my 14 pro max is at 85% battery health despite me using it in the same way as my 13 pro max, which was at 97% battery health after the same time period. (not charging past 85%, not letting the phone drain down past 15% other than every few months to recalibrate battery, plus i dont use my phone that much which means it looses less charge so i dont have top charge it that often, usually one charge to 85% will last me 2 full days with my 13pm)

You thought it was a selling feature? Are you so out of touch with reality that you think you get to own the lawnmower? You get to pay to use it until they brick the device and this is a temporary feature that they add and remove using an internet connection. This isn't to get people to buy them, it is justification for them having the ability to "update" your device.
