My X100v goes everywhere with me. Not sure what Fujifilm will do with the next version, but My 100v will be with me to welcome that one in the family.
X-Pro 3, Leica M4 and Ricoh Gr3 for me. Don't use the leica as much as the others, but it's the one I enjoy the most, don't enjoy shooting with the ricoh as much as the others, but the fact I can bring it on nights or meals out in a pocket and the quality of images it can capture make it a camera I'll always own
Nice video! What was the square hood lens on the Nikon ZF at 8:23?
It was a new, stealth mode lens I was going to review, but ended up hating so probably won't now. ;)
I love my Rollei 35s! It's so much fun! Thanks for sharing your comments on the Zf. If I weren't heavily invested into Fujifilm, it would have gotten me back into Nikon but not for street photography. I definitely prefer something more unobtrusive and light. Happy holidays!
I really enjoyed the Rollei photos, just a different quality to them. I'm only able to have one camera, so I chose the Fuji XT5 as a good all rounder. A bit larger and heavier than I'd ultimately prefer for street but it works just fine. And it works well for landscape, wildlife, travel, etc. too.
Nothing wrong with the XT5. It's definitely in my top 10 favorite cameras.
Nice relaxing vibe to this one Andrew. Good to see you on the streets again.
Thanks, my friend.
Awesome video, I think the Fujifilm Camera I won't sell is my X-T5. I had the X100v and eventually sold it. Love the feel of the X-T5 and image output. Plus with a Fujfilm 18mm it's a very compact setup.
Nice video, thanks for that! I fell in love with the M6 last year. I think it will be my all time film camera. Digital i shoot with the q2. Sold my Rollei 35TE and my Canon Ex (that camera has very wierd lenses) and it hurts a little bit..but all that gear was too much. The Rollei so charming.
ZF will only brass on the dials. The top and bottom plate will "magnesium". đ
Very true
For me, itâs my Nikon D610, F z, OMD mark iii em5, and Leica D lux 7. So happy with it.
Those are great devices!
Good choices! My X100V is in the never sell category for multiple reasons, including results Iâve gotten from shooting street and even documenting weddings and other family events. My Zf finally arrived a week ago and Iâve barely shot with it in the frenzied lead up to Christmas, but Iâm taking it with me to visit family next week and hoping because of my time with the Df that itâs second nature. Not having tried a Rollei 35 or Olympus Trip, I canât speak to those, but of the 35mm cameras Iâve used on the street Iâd have to go with the Canon A-1 or the Minolta X700, with the Minolta getting the slight edge. Given their ubiquity and ease of use, I never worry about something happening to it. I have a spare and know I could find another for $50 pretty easily.
I used to have a collection of A-1s. Those are great. And as you may know, I have a dozen Minolta X700s. Those things were way before their time and still work incredibly well. Still the film camera I recommend people go to first who want to get into it.
Great video thanks. I am thinking of taking up this kind of photography so your insight and opinions are very welcome. Loved the look of the Rollei. Those pictures were lovely. Not sure that film would be the way to go for a beginner though.
Im praying for a x100 with IBIS, if not I'd keep my V for life and stick with the sonys for work
Youâre a man after my own heart Andrew. Like you I own the X100V and will never sell it. Still need to get my hands on a Zf but will probably sell my Z6ii to fund that. Iâd love to pair that with the Voigtlander 40mm 1.2 z lens.
Wishing you a and your family a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2024 đ
That's a great idea. I need to try it with some Voigtlanders. Merry Christmas to you as well, good sir.
3:44 I like that one đđŒ
Nice video Andrew. I don't have an X100V but I do have a Rollei and recently bought two Zfs. The Rollei is quite fun to use but the Zf is simply brilliant and fast becoming my 'Go-To' camera over any of my Fuji X-T and X-H gear.
My favorite...a Lumix GX-9 that I bought used (mint, with under 500 shots) for $340, incl a kit lens. Love using it with a 20mm Lumix pancake as well as a bunch of fast vintage glass with focal reducers/adapters.
Where did you buy it? Which brands/models of focal reducers did you get?
@@da009999 I bought (2019) in Lausanne, Switzerland while skipping lunch break and taking a walk. I stumbled upon a small photography store, not far from my place of work, that I had driven by in the past but never visited. Found the GX9 in the window and had to have a closer look. Upon deep inspection, I knew it was a keeper! Maybe it was on consignment...do not recall exactly.
As for Focal Reducers, I tend to go with VILTROX as I think it offers the best value/performance.
I have something similar, g80 with silver 20mm 1.7ii and pixco focal speed booster for my m42 glass collection, I love this, also Lumix GX1 đ€đŒ itâs perfect
Agree with the ZF numbered dials. Just wish Nikon would make some lenses with numbered aperture rings as well! Having said that the little f stop LED at the top works well. Also the dials don't accidentally turn like they do on my X100F. Nikon did well here
That view from behind is weird, it looks like you're being followed!
Voigtlander has those aperture ring Z lenses, far and way better than the Nikon Z lenses
@@ofeykalakar1 Ah yes but alas they are manual focus! I like MF and have thew Voight 58 f 1.4 F mount, but some AF lenses with aperture rings would be nice...Oh well.
Me, my XT-30 and any of my 50ÂŽs hit the streets to be happy đ·
Now I only use one or two of my Sony A7RIV Cameras for street Photography with prime Lenses. Years ago I used the Minox 35 ML which I think is the perfect fast analog Camera for street photography, later I got the excellent Leica Minilux which Lens quality is just as good as SLR cameras, but the Leica is not fast and easy to use as the Minox ! The "perfect" fas street photography digital full frame camera would be with a camera design like the Contax T/Minox 35 ML !
Very cool set of "never sell" cameras.
Thanks
Great street adventure Andrew!!! Vegas doesnât get the street photography attention it deserves!!! How do you like editing the 360 footage? I have the insta 1â 360 camera and Iâm torn if I want to keep it or not.
I love doing street photography with the insta 360, when I can get the settings right. ;)
Loved the escalator shot. Maybe itâs just that Iâm a parent, but I saw the whole story unfold in my head in that one shot.
Haha. Yup

I've been GASIN trying to find that goldilocks perfect camera. Any favorite lenses other then that 40mm on the ZF?
It's early days for me and Z glass. But I'll definitely be doing some videos on that subject.
