- Jetpack Joyride is one of my favorite mobile games of all time, so of course I had to figure out a way to speedrun it. What I decided to do may have been painful for my wallet, but at least it was some good nostalgia.

Imagine working as a scientist inside a facility that's 10000m long and forgot your stuff at the entrance
And when you get there, it’s covered by a giant pile of rocks…
And on your way there, you get killed by your own creation.
The facility is not 10,000 long. Every time you get to a different backstage, you're actually doing a 90° turn. Of course this is a personal theory but it makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Y'all remember when jetpack joyride had basically no ads and the only way to spend money was unlocking the wave rider thingy?
I opened jet pack joyride again a couple of months ago after years of not playing only to discover that I can no longer change my power ups. Because the ones I had equipped are now *paywalled.*
The wave rider thing I got unlocked for free somehow, I heard from others that they would need to pay for it.
So much money can be spent now it's disgusting

that is exactly what i'm doing (minus the money part, i don't do in app purchases) - i have been playing on and off since at least 2016, with every single achievement unlocked! Google Play Games is unreliable in my experience so i'm keeping a version that used Facebook for syncing... until recently, because sync stopped working. so my progress will likely last as long as my phone does.
i'm way too invested to lose it all lmao but this is life :')

This one is also my childhood but it really isn’t designed that good now that I am rewatching it. It’s just almost impossible to dodge the traps in the later parts of the game, even if you can see them coming in front of you the jetpack wouldn’t be moved fast enough.
I remember playing this game A TON back in highschool. I had unlocked everything without spending a single dollar irl, and all that time payed off when I went to this big videogame/cosplay convention back in 2015 and there was a Jetpack Joyride comp in the playstation area. The longest distance record would win a brand new PS4. I got about 11k distance thanks to the crazy teleporter and lots of tokens and my record stayed on top all day 😩🤧 I still have that PS4

CFT is really high skill needed but if you are skilled enough its litterally the most op vehicles on the games

@@yenarblubrido7176 there was a glitch where the game just kinda stayed at the same screen where the distance goes up, so i managed to hit like 25k since i was extremely bored and i just kinda stopped after that

its also possible that he never paid for anything. If you have a jailbroken iphone, you can buy ingame currency without actually paying for it.

I remember loving this game when I was little, it was my favourite mobile game. The CFT was probably my favourite Mech because it was the one that allowed you to avoid getting hit the easiest.

Well I'm pretty sure it's canonical now that they actually planned to use not just jetpacks, but almost every tech in that lab to do bad stuff. And Barry is literally just a guy who got fired and stole the only jetpack. So yeah, I guess.
If anyone asks why I know this, there's a Jetpack Joyride 2 coming out and the trailer was surprisingly filled with lore and teasers. Boss Battles are coming too!

I would have thought the speedrun was Level 30, no ads, no money, airplane mode. Gotta know which gadgets work best to complete the most quests
That would be really cool, and probably a lot more fun. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure the most gadgets are now purchase only and can no longer be obtained through normal gameplay.

For those wandering, i was 10 years old and with that much free time i was abble to become really good and had almost everything that could get without using money. Just missed one golden power up and 2 jetpacks

I once had a bug when I downloaded Jetpack Joyride
Several years ago when I'm still in the elementary, I downloaded the game straight from Google Play Store and I played it several times at night and then I go to sleep. The next morning, all of the items in the game were suddenly unlocked and I'm very happy. My favourite setups back then is a jet engine jetpack, DJ Barry, and all other gadgets that I already forgot because most of them were already removed from the game

Mr cuddles is my favourite vehicle solely because its a giant fire breathing robotic dragon called "Mr Cuddles"
a pretty nice tip i think speedrunners doing this game is a neat little feature where if you tap both of the head starts at the same time, it combines into a mega head start that gets you to about 2250 metres, and 2000 metres is the distance threshold for the game starting to speed up so it's pretty useful if you want to immediately speed up and have enough head start utilities

I've been playing this game since it came out. Two major mechanics I've noticed. 1. After using a revive, the zapper count seems to double.
2. The slot machine minigame can always be won by pulling right at the transition between the 2nd and 3rd arrows. It takes a little bit of timing but it's worked in every single version that I've played.

Used to love this game! Hit 5900 before the boost was put in and I was sure I was the best in the world hahahaha I used to try so hard...Downloaded it a few years later and hit 20K+ with a few Xtra Lives and Boosts plus Strong Arm Machine!
