Welcome to the phenomenon that is Dimash! He truly is the best vocalist in the world right now. He is very special. He has studied music since aged 5 when the teacher reported that he had perfect pitch. He has 2 Degrees with Honours in music and has recently gained a Doctorate in music too. He is a multi-instrumentalist and also a composer. This man lives for music! He is from Kazakhstan and sings in 14 languages and has a 7.2 octave range. He really is amazing. On top of all of this, he has won numerous awards all over the world and has a worldwide fan base who are willing to travel to wherever he plays. Add to this that he is the most humble and kind young man who speaks at different peace rallies all over the world and has composed wonderful songs promoting peace. Hi! Thank you for reacting to my beloved Dimash. 🥰A little background: Dimash is from Khasakstan and he's now 29 years old. His range is fenomenal (about 7 octaves and some semitons). He can reach a D8, wich is a note outside the piano.😮 You can see/ear in his Gakku concert with the song "Unforgetable day". This digital concert was done during the pandemic as a way to "compensate" the Dears (his fans), because some of his live concerts (that were fully booked), were canceled.😷 He can sing from base to soprano. Because of that he was invited to become a part of the Astana Opera, which he refused because he wanted to pursue a more neoclassical approach in his music. He's an independent artist and studied (and still does) music since he was 5 years old (almost 25 years). He went to midlle school, high school the conservatory and University (always studying music). He has a Master degree in musicality and is actually working in his PhD in composition. He works his voice 3h a day, EVERY single day! He's a very sweet, humble and down to earth young man. More Dears will give you details about him. For sure! Sorry for my english. I'm portuguese.🙄😬

Dimash is in a league of its own. You haven't seen anything yet. 😀Singing in 12+ languages (speaking: Kazakh, Russian, English, more and more Mandarin/Chinese), in different genres (opera, neo-classic, pop, jazz, Folk songs of his native Kazakhstan, rap ...), playing 7 instruments! Great entertainer on stage. Humble guy. Became a big star in China (as not Chinese) and now has fans all over the world. Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call the singer of the millennia. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. It was a whole concert so of course he was sweating.He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

In 2021, during the pandemic, the Dimash fans (Dears) were suffering and missing Dimash so very much. Many fans fly to his Concerts wherever in the world he is.
Dimash put on the Digital Show as a live Concert for his fans ( not much of an audience, just a few staff and support personel). Was no where near as long as a regular Concert but all the performances were excellent and we were so grateful.🙄😂😅🫤
Almost all the180 Dimash videos have subtitles in English. The lyrics are often useful because the vocal choices Dimash makes will match the lyrics meaning. He loves to mix genres in his music. He does have plenty of songs in english but some of my favorites are in Mandarin, Russian, and Kazak.

Dimash has God given talent but he has also focused on music education since he was 5. He has been trained in classical opera, jazz, Broadway, pop etc. He also composes music.
One thing that I find important in understanding his music is that he is a very proud devoted Muslim. He is also fiercely proud of his Country, Kazakhstan. Hus country was under the rule of Russia, both the Tzars and the Soviets. The Country gained independence in 1991, 3 years before his birth. He has incorporated traditional instruments, and folk songs in his act.

He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) CZcams channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. If I could subscribe to your channel 10 X's, I would. Now, on to Dimash. You have only scraped the tip of the iceberg. I won't go into detail because I'm sure so many others will. He started his music studies at the age of five, piano at three, and has three degrees, including a Ph.D. in music composition. With all of that, he still trains vocally for 3-5 hrs. every day. It really doesn't matter what you react to next, Dimash never disappoints. Wait until you hear him sing " Hello". Then again Adagio, All By Myself, Ikanaide, Olympico, Sinful Passion, Love Is Like A Dream, and my favorite "Unforgettable Day", when he performed on "The Singer 2017. With all his talents, you will be surprised to know how truly humble, kind, and generous Dimash is. Anxiously waiting for more of Dimash from the two of you.
