I already knew you played guitar but for some reason seeing you actually do it is amazing. I only recently started to learn music, it's a tough world for adult beginners. Great stuff! I wouldn't mind more music related content if you had more to post.
Thank you so much! I can definitely post more music stuff. By the way, I also started playing relatively late in life. If I can help at all, let me know! It's different learning as an adult.
Ngl until I saw this video I was considering getting an MXR Phase 100 for my collection, mainly because it seemed good for grunge and shoegaze but now I think I might look into getting this thing because it seems like a far better and more versatile option.
The Phase 100 is still killer -- I've got an original script one, and a block one from the 80s. But they're so damn expensive. This thing ends up being like $200 USD shipped. And I always end up modding the old MXRs to be true bypass, which isn't needed here. I'm looking at my board wondering if I should take the old MXR stuff off and save it at home. That Bud box Phase 90 is scary to gig with.
I don't own any of them, but I've heard good things. Hard to beat at that price point. I think my only JHS pedal is a Prestige I have floating around here somewhere.
@@thegunpenguin if you're ever in the market for one of the 3 series pedals, I'd recommend any of them. I'm running a screamer up front, and then a delay and reverb pedals in the effects loop, and I keep coming back to them despite having other pedals lying around. They aren't complicated, they sound great, and they just run.
@@johnherreshoff436 Great info! Thanks! Sound like the 3-series is another great one to save vintage pedals at home. The audience won't know the difference or care.
Hey there. I just watched your video on being a liberal gun owner. You have put a lot of thought and wisdom into what you believe politicaly as a gun owning liberal and have raised good points that contradict what I used to think about gun control that I need a bit of time to digest. I was curious what your views were on the Universial health care option. Thanks in advance!
Came for the Glock performance trigger review, but stayed for the phaser.. Guitars are so much easier to carry than a piano…..You’d go to jam at someone’s house and there like “here I got this shit 1990’s casio with 16 working keys on it..” Later on in 1998, I got a full 88key General Music keyboard with 3.5” floppy drive that weighed 120lbs which at least was mobile enough to transport. Fun fact, at 6’1” I still was able to sleep in my SKB hard case after getting blasted one night after jamming as my buddy had no place to crash.. Ps. Nice Phaser. And sweet sounding Gibson.. 😅
Thanks! Keyboard is easily the most inconvenient instrument. I've got a Korg SV-1, and I dread moving it to gigs. Drums can at least be broken down into smaller pieces.
I dunno, this channel encompasses the bulk of my hobbies, so it looked just right to me. Too much of either one isn't necessarily healthy to ol' finances though.
@@solomonsanchez1897haha same! Guns, knives, guitars, fishing, and books (I know, kind of an outlier)… this channel has it all (or most all) for me! It’s a one stop shop. Great stuff!
Too much talking. Spent 4 minutes on something thay could have taken 1 minute.

This sounds so dope. I wanna hang out in a field and have you wail on a tune like "Sorrow" by Floyd played through a stack of amps ten yards tall. 🎸
Thanks for listening! We'll have to make that happen. I wonder if I still remember how to play Sorrow.
You check out any of the JHS Series 3 pedals? I've been really happy with them, especially considering the price point.

You might be interested in checking out the new Wong Compressor from Wampler !
Wampler makes great stuff! I think I have the other one they make floating around here somewhere.

“The most inconvenient instrument”
Well put Penguin! 😆
If I had invented a guitar amp, it would have been the Super Lead. Big iron!
The greatest amp of all time!
Weird looking gun
The weirdest gun.
