That's what makes KoQ so funny. Doug will go to extremes to avoid minor things that annoy him. He also avoided going to an opera with Carrie and stayed in his car and made up a story with Deacon.
Yeah but it was a whole weekend which is pretty tough
And carrie could not handle be at airport for 4 hours with Doug parents and yet how long her Dad lives with them

Everyone makes it seem like renting your own place is a walk in the park.... it's expensive af and on top of that your record needs to be perfect and sometimes even have to have references to be approved to be a able to rent...and most of the time you'll have to compromise by getting a roommate as an alternative and then you have to put up with how unclean, noisy and weird they are and all their other baggage they bring along... it's crazy how hard they make it in this country to have a home you're content with.
They definitely need to make some changes to the laws concerning rent...these landlords get away with too much and are getting filthy rich.

personally i thought arthur was great i mean he had his moments where his character was annoying but i thought the actor played him well and he was well written sometimes imo because he had his funny moments and created conflict to make the show interesting
