@arielbanks5557 You're partially correct, Ariel. Deacon was going through his divorce with Kelly at the time, but he is a responsible, law-abiding, and mature, level-headed man. Doug is just a married man, with a immature, frat boy mentality.
Most try to save money. I don't get this. Hahaha.
Even though they won the office pool, Doug took money that Carrie told him not to take. Plus, Deacon was in the middle of his divorce with Kelly, so if he bought anything and she found out about it, he was worried that she would ask for more money in her settlement. So that's why the terrible twosome decided to live like "Kings for a Day."
