Pretty critical step I forgot to mention but in most cases it's necessary to put a thin film of antiseize on stainless fasteners with nylock bolts. Stainless steel is a softer metal and the threads can gall and seize. My mistake in not mentioning that!! You guys rock and thank you for watching đ€
Would love to buy that quad name a price that you would want for it
Michael Sabo thansk
Brutal..this build deserve to be in dirtwheels magazine....
Hell yea bro! That would be amazing!
mikes hand down the best person to watch on yt
Wow dude... thank you so much!
Michael Sabo I agree
Makes my day when I get a notification that you posted a new video keep up the good workđ
Thank you so much for the support bro!
This has been a dream quad of mine for the longest time. So happy to see someone finally building one and building it right!
krudlumps TV thank you for watching! đ€
O YEA OLD SCHOOL 250R. Back in the day the most beautiful site. 91 say to 02 ATV NATIONAL'S & seeing all the 250Rs there. But I'm old school. Wick on â Sabo that is a very beautiful Bad Ass site
Thank you for watching and for the compliments John Thomas!
The wait was worth it. She is coming together and looking good!!
Looking forward to putting my feet up and watching this new 250R video!
UndergroundGains thank you for watching! đ€
Brother, watching this has got me eager to starting the restoration projects of my two 1986 TRX250R machines. One is running and the second needs some transmission work done and is completely stripped to the bare frame. I will be subscribing.
Thank you for watching my video and for subscribing Brian Glynn! Good luck with your build!
@@MichaelSabo Thank you sir. I was wondering if you are going to post a parts list for your build? I would like to restore my to stock, but I would like to use modern suspension. I know the part are rare and hard to find.
Not saying youâre guaranteed to have a problem but whenever using nylocks with stainless hardware Iâve always been told to use vasoline because stainless hardware loves to gall the threads when being tightened, especially when using any type of locknut.
It's 100% true. It's a critical step I forgot to mention; thank you for pointing this out
I really like that anti fade lock but. Thatâs a sweet design for the 250r.
Michael that that ATV is looking amazing Keep up the good work.
Thank you Aaron Martin TV!
@@MichaelSabo No problem keep it real.
Mike in the slits at the rear of the swingarm use RTV there. And you should have lubed the outside of the carrier as well that's how they came from the factory.
Thats a great call man; I am going to pull it and do this
Really looking forward to your review on those fox shocks.
Dude the color combination with those fox shocks look sick you had me laughing when you started reading the instructions for the shocks just like a kid in a toy store đ€Łkeep up the great work â
Lmao đ Thank you man. Yes, I had planned the gold on sand color đ€
one day you will have so many sponsors you'll be able to build one of these practically free
That would be amazing man; I would love to get to this point and do give aways with the builds
Dude that thing is gonna come out Sick.
Thank you bro! đ€
Hey Mike a small tip on your swing arm if you are interested. You could drill a hole the size of a grease gun fitting towards the center bottom of the swing arm. This will allow you to grease your carrier bearing with out having to remove your axle. I hope this helps! Your build is looking awesome!!
Dude thats an ingenious idea, but the problem is that its a cam style carrier, so to adjust it, you need to spin the carrier, so the grease zerk does not have a fixed position.
Michael Sabo, you are right about the Carrier having a cam lobe style. How ever the carrier is also used to loosen and tighten your chain. Once you loosen the 4 bolt on the carrier you use the tool provided to rotate the carrier forward remove the chain off the rear sprocket, then rotate carrier back towards the designated hole made to grease your bearings. This sounds like it may be a long process but its really not. With all the jumps you will be making you will be having to tighten your chain quite often.
I love that new Toyota grey color!!! Nice job!!
That thing is killer!!!
Thank you Stubbz33!
Starting to look like a bike keep up the beast work
Thank you Lige Murray!
Awesome video !!! So glad to see people still build an ride these machines . I plan on looking for a two stroke soon !!

Awesome video!! The 250r is looking straight đ„đ„ so far!! Canât wait to see it when itâs done!
Thank you bro! đ€
I love re watching these vids. Love this channel
Put some anti seize on the carrier, a arm bolts, pivot bolts, axle, and ball joint/ tie rod ends. Not on threads just helps movement and future maintenance
This is a really good call man; thank you for mentioning this
Hey man thanks for the 250r build vids. You got me feeling nostalgic, so I pulled out my â88 this morning and tore it all down while watching you wrench on yours. Donât know that Iâll go long travel but hopefully it will almost as gnarly as yours.
So happy to see this thing going together! I know your are to! Thing looks great so far!đ€
Thank you Just_in _time!

Adam, thank you for watching my series and good luck on your build as well!
Long live 250r! Awesome video.
Thank you bro! đ€
Looking good!!!!
Looks good youâll love the long travel fronts. Got it for my banshee night and day difference. And as far as the stainless hardware goes, anti seize is your friend. Especially a bike thatâll be flying.
Great call on the anti seize man; I forgot to mention this.
Love the build keep doing these vids!
I like watching all your videos youâre in a lot learned a lot
This thing is gona look sickkk!!!
I live for these videos man
I live for the comments; thank you for watching bro!

Like you said in the video about the parts and level of build. This is another level of bad assness! I know you are excited to rip it!
Hell yea man!! I can't wait to rip this thing!
It's sic! Definitely worth the wait. I'm glad you kept it hidden until all the parts came in.
Dan Benard thank you for watching! đ€
Sick bro! đ
Canât wait to watch all of this
tech Man thank you for watching! đ€
Michael Sabo thank you for the amazing content đ
its good to see youre using lock tight on everything . if anything can come loose it will . i run lock tight and double nuts on everything .
Dude that is a sick build! Awesome edit! I have a 1986 ATC 250r Iâll be starting on here shortly!
I just came in from rip n my r for about 2 hrs. Mine has reworked 450 shocks up front and fresh stocker on rear. I'm so envious of ur suspension. It's gonna b awesome. I love watch n this buildđđ»
Thank you bro; it's going to be cool to experience it; first for me
Dude.....talk about visual ecstasy! This was just the video I needed to watch today. Long time follower/stalker in the shadow - first time commenting. Sheâs looking fuckin sweet brother đđŒ Iâve enjoyed the whole build so far and canât wait to see her rip
Bro!!!! Thatâs sick. I was about to go cut grass but had to stop so I could see the video. Great content as always, that thing is BEAUTIFUL and itâs not even done. Canât wait. đđ»đđ»đđ»
Hahaha, sorry to postpone the grass being cut; thanks so much for watching though man!
Currently trying to refresh an Atc 250r and Iâm having troubles finding new old stock parts. Only thing keeping me going is the fact that once itâs done itâs gonna be beautiful. Theyâre rare in Minnesota so me and my dad drove to California for it but it needs plastics brakes fork seals and boots and many other parts.
you building this R from the ground up is the most beautiful thing ive ever witnessed lmao . i do wish i could be there for the first ride brake in to see your face when you feel the power and handling of that monster
Mike that linkage bolt on the swing arm, it requires a special bolt. One from a 450r will work. Itâs an Allen head bolt with a double O-Rings seal. I have some if you need one.
Sick man đđ„đ€đ€
Thank you bro! đ€
Hell ya looking sick \m/ đ
Thank you bro! đ€
So many dope components & good job on machining that part. High 5 playboy
Hell yea Tac, let's see if it's bulletproof when I'm done
You the best i lobe your fox shocks lucky are there good
Thank you Jose Ballardo!
TREMENDOOOO!!!!!
Thank you Martin Hache!
sick TRX Mick starting to look hectic bro can't wait until she's completely done and running its such a unique build
ONE OF A KIND Thats for sure TENFOLD
Thanks so much for the compliments and for watching Tek!
A little tip when pressing parts with a benchvise cover the jaws so you don't mar parts and pieces. This is my #1 favorite build on YT. Thanks bro this thing is gonna rock.
Good call man; and thank you for watching!
Minty đ!!!
Looking good man coming alone really good man
700r.Raptor. Life thank you for watching! đ€
@@MichaelSabo Always tuned in đ€đŸ
Itâs coming along for sure bro canât wait to see the quad all done and I got SSS suspension out somewhere in the US smh this corona had screwed up delivery services and then they are like oh just wait we will find it or it will show up I just wanna reach through the phone on them haha channel will kick off when all suspension gets here every thing else has made it see you on the next one đ
Lmao, I know that feeling of wanting to reach through the phone. Hopefully it comes soon bro!
Sweet
Great job Mike. I hope the aluminum bearing you created isn't too soft. A lot of force will be trying to mash it.
Leo, that's a good call; I was thinking the same thing so I will be monitoring it and if it wears, I will make one out of steel and replace it!
nice
My favorite shock right there. The Trx250r community frown on them but your gonna love them! They are awesome they are like riding on a cloud. Iâve ran all different brands and the float 3âs always feel the best. PEP is a close runner up but the people who deal with them to get the proper set up are very difficult to deal with imo. Also roll design will never tell you to get these fox shocks. They have a deal with Elka. They will always tell you to get stage 5âs. Very rarely will they advise the fox.
That's a bad boi!!đȘđŸđŻđđŠ
Thank you KingGoRealLa 205!
next time for the front bolt on your a arms . put the nut behind the bumper . that way the wrench goes there and the impact in the back with out having to take the bumper off . just takes that step out
Good call; I literally stared at it for like 5 minutes deciding if I should do that but I wanted all of the allen heads facing forward for the clean look.
I hate CZcams's notifications, I was going through my Instagram and saw on Instagram that you posted.
Ah man, I hate hearing this; make sure the bell is checked next to subscribe. It seems like a lot of people have the same problem.
@@MichaelSabo I had re-subscribe. Not sure what YT is up to.
Nice looking bike man Iâd be creaming in my jeans being able to have brand new parts I couldnât even imagine
Thank you Keith, it's definitely a great feeling!
nice man ! omg gg !!!!
Thank you bro! đ€
Hey Sabo remember when I had asked about the 400ex spindle swap? Well as I was watching this vid I was thinking if down the road you wanted to do that I bet you could probably just get different homes for your roll design a arms just a thought of course thatâs easy for me to say not having to dish out the dough for them love the build love the channel keep up the great work bud đđđđđđđ»đđ»
Yes, I remember man; perhaps down the road I will do that but I have a feeling this is going to be amazing to me no matter what; I've never ridden a quad this set up before.
Would love to see you build a quadzella
Fire that damn thing upđ€đšđšđšđšđš
just a tip i have clear vinyl all over the front end of my quad to protect all of the fresh powder and a arms
Great tip; I've heard of people doing this!
wow, it's so cool what you can do with those things and how precise you get every thing and it really shows. You somehow take the stuff that already looks insane and manage to make it Iook even better. That's what makes all of your stuff stand out and why l think you are the best youtuber l've ever watched
Wow, thank you so much man; this comment just made my day!
NEED MORE NOWWWW!!! You got me addicted man. Great Vids Keep It Going
Thank you so much man! More videos to come!
We need moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
With solid bushings you don't need the weight of the vehicle before tightening the suspension down.... that rule is for rubber bushings that twist.
I guess the video answers my question but does the aftermarket axle bearing carrier require o-rings /seals in the mid area? Great video, trying to put my old R back together by memory!, Lol Very helpful, thank you!
This quads been trying to do mine 100% but shit get expensive n been down for way too long gettn by duncan racing eng in it finally was wonderfull feeling any chance I can get a close up look of electric on front half and clutch n throttle cable routing if u can thanks sweet build
Mike, say Good Bye to your Banshee!! lol Once you ride your TRX the Banshee will be forgotten!! lol
No way man haha
