Damn all of that custom dremel work... might be time to invest in a old Bridgeport đ€đŸđđŸđ€Ł
I know alot of people who would have left that vertical play in that rear caliper protector. Nice save! Build is looking top notch!
No shit really? I was thinking it COULD be okay like that but those swingarms take some hard knocks. Thank you man!
Thank you for watching my video! Links for all products are in the description; you guys ROCK!! đ€
Looks great
hey man iâm trying to get the jetting on my banshee right itâs a 421cc with 28 mil carbs iâve tried 155,160,162 do you have any ideas ? if so please reach out to me on instagram jake_middleton
Thank you man!
It's hard for me to say without knowing other mods and altitude and how the bike is behaving etc; but I am going to guess you may be slightly rich; I run 155 mains with 35mm carbs and it's on the Rich side. Playing with the needle position made a lot of difference in throttle response for me as well.
Michael Sabo i wouldnât say it is rich itâs running nice low and mid but as soon as you hit the top end power itâs not getting the ratio it needs you could say
This build is top ofthe line! I like you dont cut corners đ
Thank you bro! đ€
Looking good bro. That is very true what u said about precision stabilizers. This is a true fact here. In 2005 ATV National at glen helen George the owner had the 1st one on Tim Farrs quad & 4 others that race Farr Won that race running 1. 3 riders was in top 8. Doug Gust won 8 out 10 races in 04. He DIDNT Win again until he switched to one. Presicion has won Nearly every ATV National since 05. & 19 out 20 Pros last season that I seen had it on there quads. Keep up the awesome work/build Wick On â
DUDE GEORGE TOLD ME THAT STORY!!! đ It's crazy man! The evidence is there for sure; I can't wait to try mine!
Love this project, can't wait to see the final reveal
Can't wait to see these in action! Nice video as always!
I came for the builds. Leave impressed by the video editing
Thank you for the compliment Quang Nguyen!
love your attention to detail and problem solving, u r beyond certified.
That quad is insane already and itâs not even finished! Great work bro.
Thank you bro! đ€
Those DRW skids look bad ass! I might have to get me some.
This quad is becoming something else true masterpiece! Also true wrenching skills keep up bro!
That thing is bad ass!! Love the color! Canât wait to see it finished
Thank you Master Ryan!
I don't have a 250R but I might have to stop up to silver the weekend of the meetup with my banshee just to see this build in person. It's looking great!
Yes, more 250r. Thank you and love the videos
PACK A PUNCH thank you for watching! đ€
I'd like to see him do a 250R ATC
thanks for sticking with the 660 and not the trailer build. im also restoring an 01' 660!
They'res so many times on that where most people would just cut corners or rig stuff up, you can make anything work and fit together and make it look like it was meant to be or better. Nice job man!
Thanks for the info on the DRW stuff just ordered some parts for the 450r, you da man
Awesome video!
Looking awesome!!!
This thing is going to be bad ass!
Its coming together nicely! Just finished my new yfz450r have a look at it even raced her this past weekend!
You are by far my favorite builder đ€đ» also helps that I have an 86 R đđŒđđŒ
Wow, thank you bro!
Awww the 250r is backđđđ€
Canât wait to see the final
Awesome đđ»
Awesome đ love it
I love these videos, keep up the great work man...also at 10:10, that piece flexed quite a bit, doesnt look very strong anymore
Thank you for watching man! Yes, I agree; I may have that piece made out of aluminum down the road.
@@MichaelSabo that would look really cool
Hell ya looking sick I'm jealous
I had the stick style stearing dampiner on my last trx450r i was definitely happy with it but with a no limit budget the precious piece looks nice. Looks alot like the scott type of dampiner that woods dirt bike guys run.
Awesome vid and edits and filming and parts and bike
Nice Build đ
Awesome stuff mike
Thank you Lige Murray!
I'd wrap my Suzuki LT-Z 400 in Multicam the graphics and plastics looks dope!
Awesome vid and bike
You deserve a lot more views!
Thank you Franco6893 oj!
Your doing a great job with the channel. It should be on cable tv.
Me being a millwright I have installed tons of that stuff in conveyors and stuff and it is rugged
BVC Racing makes some sweet rotor and sprocket guards, I think it looks better then the DRW. recently bought them for my 450r project
Man I wish my garage was clean enough to wear socks but this video was awesome!
It's a must to go with JT sprockets those ones you have won't last a season
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody: Michael working on socks...
Great video man as always.đ€
YES!! Hahaha; I was wondering if anyone would notice that đđđ
đ new rez bracket
bro with all do respect everyone can read about this stabilizer JEEEEES
đ for those that like pictures and video
So I have a cpp and it's great. But I really like that elite stabilizer. Good video. Hey silver lake is my neck of the woods. You want to hit some trails while your here let me know
Thank you for the feedback man! Silver lake is 10 hours for me but yes; I will be there next month for the 250R meetup!
We need moreeeeee
i got the shock and vibe bar clamp because of you and the npm brake cover . today was the second ride on the shock and vibe . i havent raced with it yet . but i love it from these two rides . the only complaint is they didnt send any stickers and i ordered for 7/8 bars and got the big square bar pad for the oversized bars and ive got a cross bar . so i couldnt run their bar pad oh well i guess
Glad to hear you like the clamps man; I would call George and tell him; I'm sure at the very least he will send you stickers lol.
@@MichaelSabo if the next race dont get cancelled july 11 is the next race . 1st with the shock and vibe
will npm offer that rear brake reservoir for anybody ? i want all the billet parts they make . npm is doing so much for the 250r enthusiasts . i want to support them as much as i can and the parts look so sweet
Yes dude; send them a DM on instagram or call them ASAP; I know they're making a run of them but I think people are buying them up on the 250R forums already.
@@MichaelSabo hell yeah man . they better start making more at a time . their getting very popular lol
@28:43.... out of curiosity.. how come u mounted the bolts facing up, Iâm no builder or anything by any means but why not drop the bolts from the top and put the bolt on the bottom? Worst case scenario if they were to come loose the bolt would just completely fall outđ€ correct me if Iâm wrong tho
Mike. Question. Did you op out for the double front brake line rather then the 1 into union and 2 out. I have it on my trx 450 and it's stopping power is crazy better the single into 2 in k y opinion.
The first odi grip you put on the bar had extra material for more grip or something
So I thought I watched all the vids to this build but I missed where you got the colored brake lines???? I like em bruh.. where can I get a set??
PRM protection products were the toughest ones made when it comes to protection on the 250rs In cross country racing that I have seen, they could take a beating, too bad they are done
I thought PRM was still around?
Michael Sabo Mike as far as I know they retired back in 2017
When u gonna be at Silver lake I'm stacking up all three generations of atc 250r's for a big Silverlake trip in August
Did you use the factory front 250R Master cylinder with the ASV levers?
I am building a few atc250râs and going through your old videos. What was the final verdict on DRW case savers? They look like what I will like. Any discount codes for DRW?
Thanks
You should do a build on a trx450er next that what I have and itâs damn fast Iâm Getting into racing here soon
a layer carbon fiber on top of the thin spot on the rear break disc guard thingy?
Mike, this machine deserves it's own feature film. It's a shame though, that the handlebar pad cover is so flimsy. It should be vinyl, or better yet leather, and cover the ends of the ugly bar pad. This build is too special to look past any of the details, especially on something that is front and center. Spend ten bucks on it instead of ten cents. It will make a big difference aesthetically.
Thanks Leo and I do agree; I'm not the biggest fat of the foam bar pad; I have another one that's a bit nicer but I'm not sure it will fit this setup.
To measure with the luggage weight you need to wrap the strap around the object and up to the weight and clamp it where the little triangle part is so it doesnt move lol
I'm obviously not very well traveled đ
What are the three holes for on the stabilizer? Would you be able to use those holes on the stem clamp and keep the stabilizer in original spot? Great build bro!!!
I don't know for sure; but I would imagine yes; I can't see how that would effect the performance of the stabilizer as long as the 90 degree angle is there.
Just ordered flexx bars for my 2020 yfz. Now youâre making me regret itđ©đ
Dont flex bars are awesome bars. I have them on my shees and they reduce a lot of vibrations that go into your arms. The pro xc racers use them too.
People say flexx bars better for trails and xc, Mx precision is better
Its gonna be an xc build so thats perfect. Thanks guys
it should have been made to use the caliper bolts that you cut a slot to fit over then it would be mounted good and tight you would just need to get longer bolts
Tell me that sound in the intro warning is not from the quake 2 soundtrack âunderworld.â
What class are you racing Chris? I'm going to try and do a couple of the easier tracks if they ever get going. I've had 4 back surgeries and racing has been furthest from my mind. I'm tired of living like a cripple though. No way to live.
Showing surpport from the Bahamas
Thank you for your support man!
Flex bars are junk IMO I got a quad with them on them and would prefer regular bars. The bars you got are decent I would run them on a quad. On a bike I love the stiff feel of renthal twin walls. The regular pro tapers and fat bars flex a lot more.
She's looking good next project should be a Tecate and you will have the best 2 stroke quads c'mon đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Tecate-4?? Hell yea! Thank you man!
@@MichaelSabo there's one here in my Area for $3500 đ„đ„đ„đ„
31:09 thatâs what she said
Gettin all kinds of sponsorships from NPM and PRP eh? Build coming along bad ass. And silver lake too in July? Who all ya goin with.
i would love to know how well that drw rotor guard would hold up on the xc trails . it looks tuff
They've been tested pretty good from what I understand but I'm with you; I really want to see for myself how it holds up.
@@MichaelSabo yeah a lap at snowshoe will tell lmao
We have going on 2 seasons of gncc production A on the same rotor guard with minimal wear on them. We spent years working with WORCS, aworc, gncc and ixcr riders to develop them to be the strength and longevity they should. I'm a rider just like you and do not like replacing parts. The lifetime warranty is there if you manage to tear them up I'll replace them but they are designed to be lifetime parts even in race applications.
@@duneracerweston wow well that answers that lol thanks for the product detail . ill have to give them a try . because a billet one can get broken in a race . and yall have lifetime warranty that says yall are confident in yalls product
Do they make those case savers for dirt bikes? And so they ship to Canada đšđŠ
Based on drwperformanceatv.com, it looks like only ATV's; but if you call DRW they may be able to make one for a bike.
I make a couple for the bikes but only what I have had my hands on. I do ship to Canada but not through the website as international shipping isnt setup yet.
Could all these parts be gotten for the atc 250r 1985 and 1986 years?
Skid plate parts? I would contact DRW and see what's up; they may be able to make them for you. I'm not sure about the dampers; I don't think they're offered for 3 wheelers but you could probably modify one to work if you really wanted to.
What kill switch did uou use? Running any lights?
Kill switch was on ebay (Kill Switch - ebay.to/3htNlT2 ) No lights on this build
Hey buddy I need your experience i buy my first 250r I don't if is normal noise or something rong with it?
Were i can send you video so you can take a look?
Does anyone make that front brake line mount that you fabricated?
I don't know of any; its very easy to make though.
i would love to be able to do a side by side test with the stick style and the precision one before i spend 600$ on something . i just rebuild the stick style every few races for like 5$ worth of orings lol . could you do that comparison for me ?
I may do that comparison down the road once I actually have some seat time on this 250R. You might be really interested to call precision; they do a much better job of explaining the differences between stick style. The owner George has a lot of track and race experience so you will probably relate to him very well.
@@MichaelSabo i might just have to . im just not a phone person lol and any comparison video would be cool
Like to know how it compares to a gpr stabilzer..
@@clutchshot247 me too . duncan is a great guy
USMC MARPAT? Are you in the order of knife handery?
ahh yea fuckin mintt BRAPP
Out of curiosity why would you want to run a shorter swingarm ? What's the benefits
It is for handling; I'm not a MX guru but it's pretty common that guys run shorter swingers from what I understand.
I know the 88 and 89 had a shorter swing arm. The front of the 88 and 89 frame was extended. This was done for more centering of the motor weight I believe. Most aftermarket frames are based on the 88-89 geometry.
She's coming together looks trick already.
Thank you dennis bagatin!
you could really benefit from investing in a bridgeport milling machine
Oh man, I'd love to have one of those
Whatâs the bend of those handlebars ?
He said atv mid while he was installing them, i finally found the video that mentionef it.. 17:32 in vid
Donât like the look of the guards but as long as they work right đ
Wish DRW would provide protection for DS450's!
As soon as I have one in my shop I will. I just have not had the opportunity to do so.
Weston Rainwater thank you cause Iâm in a big need for one, right now Iâm running a weird brand one for now.
But I love the project
Try getting NPM to respond now a days . They are another one of those companies who donât give a crap about customers
I would just axe that brake guard. Great job getting it on there though
Does he know your not suppose to double click the torque wrench
DRW MY INITIALS OF MY NAME
If I may ask, what do u do for a living to afford all these projects and trick parts. đđ
This is what I do for a living man đ€
HEY BUD YOU DO KNOW THEY MAKE SKID PLATES FOR THE REAR RIGHT
7:03 that's not even a REAL cut off wheel that's a grinding wheel
it's great that your ding a nice patriotic build. with all the left wing communist anti american people in this country, it's good to know that there are still people who love our country, police force, and military.
Mods I canât afford*đ€Ł
Stop milking this little ass bike and finish it already đđđ
đ
Alright if thatâs the case, how about you go help him build itđ€Šââïž
Complaining is for babyâs đ
i love your vids but please stop using the rock music
Thank you bro; what type of music would you prefer? It's actually quite difficult to place the appropriate music that most people will enjoy or not be bothered by and that I personally like. Always curious to hear feedback đ€
@@MichaelSabo the music you are using between the rock music. You video's are very chill because you explane alot of good information. So i like the nice and chill music. Maybe do some after shots at the end and than maybe use the rock music
@@rickbaks988 again, thank you for the feedback đ€
Michael Sabo Iâd rather you keep doing what your doing, but if your taking any feedback, I say maybe even up the rock/metal tunes. It takes a certain iq/talent to play instruments just like building a quad. Doesnât take any talent to make fake jams on a laptop, nor is it fitting. Ive been digging the heavy guitar parts and these newer tunes with the ripping lead guitars. Youâll put us to sleep if you play all elevator music.
Dude, stop talking so much!!
stop saying trick. your like 46 act your age
