Thanks for answering my question! I did NOT think it was a non-answer. It makes perfect sense to scope your retro computing by going back to your old favourites. But if I sparked an interest towards covering homebrew on the channel in the future, then I'm looking forwards to that as a member of your audience!
Happy Birthday! Thanks for a fun episode. I also love a good Reuben! There are lots of ays to prep one, the one you showed the pic of looked very tatsy.
Thanks very much for answering my question, all great answers in this and happy 40th birthday. Also, I very much appreciate the thanks for the help I've given you. I'm really looking forward to the follow up video whenever that's done, I am genuinely very interested in hearing your first impressions on some of the games, and there is at least one Atari game on PC-98 lol. Marble Madness tbh is one of the PC-98 games I've played the most, I think it controls really well with the mouse and it looks and sounds quite good too.
Yes I went with the color question because I couldn't remember the capital of assyria one and was driving so I couldn't look it up. But then I thought you know I am curious if the answer is dark green
Interesting to hear about the band. I was an indie music promoter in London from about 1998 to 2012 so I wondered if there was a chance our paths crossed, but clearly not. I ran several venues including the Water Rats, Hoxton Bar and Kitchen and The Marquee Club. Sadly the scene is much diminished nowadays and it seems those were the last really good years. Interestingly I did work briefly with a band from Mexico called Titan who are worth a listen, although not the same style as your band at all. As for homebrew, you should definitely get into it - after all homebrew coders like myself are the retro equivalent of indie bands - you must know how it feels trying to get people into new material when all they seem to want are nostalgic tribute acts :)
Ah, I suppose I should have mentioned that we were pretty much entirely local to Leicester. We did a couple of gigs in Nottingham, Loughborough and I think Derby but certainly didn't venture any further afield than that. Definitely true about the local live music scene, it's a real shame and it was suffering 10 years ago, I can only imagine how dead it is now. One of our regular venues (The Shed in Leicester) is a coffee shop now. I don't think they're even open for music in the evenings.
I think you meant Impossible Mission instead of Mission Impossible And i think the reason action retro has more subscribers is because he talks about apple. Apple just has more fans than Atari

The PC-98 video is top priority now - in fact I'm working on it today! So much game footage to capture 😁
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Rees - hope you're enjoying your celebrations. 🎉
Thanks!
Lovely ramble and Happy Birthday!
Thanks Snorkers!

I wish I was turning 40. I just hit 50 recently and feel positively decrepit.
Happy birthday though! 😂🎉
I remember 40...
Ah, 40 is nothing (the new 30 as they say!). I turned 54 last month. I was programming my first computer (TI-99/4A) when you were born!
Hello!
🦖
Happy Birthweek... watch out for Derek with your mrs, sounds like he is showing far too much interest :-) (only joking)
why have you put your front pic as you looking like a old phil cool. but yet another cool podcast
Not sure I'm familiar with Phil Cool. I thought I looked a bit like Keir Starmer 😅

Spot on. I'm not even particularly into retro Apple stuff and I watch him. Good on him, he works hard on his channel!
LOL nice thumbnail, relax Reese you barely look your age
