Isla de Margarita, it must be one of Venezuela's top tourist destinations. After staying for some time close to Isla de Margarita on Venezuela's main land in Lecheria I decided to go. I bought a ticket for the ferry which took me in a couple of hours to this island in the Caribbean sea to survive for 1 week on this Venezuelan island.

Roger La Asunción is the capital of Margarita and it is not a part of Porlamar is a different city.

You can go by plane as well. I know you can travel from Caraca to Margarita by plane

The capital of Nueva Esparta is La Asunción, not Porlamar.
