Whenever Quentin is around black people he turns into a 50 year old black mom
hahaha
for real lol
Daytimerocker that's cause people forget that he's a huge nerd.
Does he now...
Daytimerocker lol I’ve been saying this forever look at what he wore in the late 90s kangaroo hats and big bright polos
"Dialogue is supposed to be its own form of violence."
- QT dropping playwright knowledge
true.
In Bruges
Truth... Not some lefty microagression bs, but artistic insight. Art and politics shouldn't overlap. When they do, it's called propaganda.
@@kaufmanat1 art and politics ALWAYS overlap. necessarily.
@@BedIntruder2107 I think we are using the word "overlap" differently. A Political setting can certainly influence art. But politics should never drive art, fund art, garrison or bolster art. Sort of like religion and government. Religion certainly will inform one's view on govenrment, but the government should never support, back, or fund religious enterprise...
nigga a legend
going to watch Pulp fiction now
Bruh, you & I both.. Watch Reservoir Dogs first and then Pulp Fiction.. They tie in together. The Vega Brothers & what's in the case, the diamonds!!
+Above Beyond there isnt diamonds in the case its marselius wallaces soul
+lloydymk2013 nah, man.. Vic Vega is Vincent's brother, it's been confirmed the movies are in the same universe.. The buyer of those diamonds was Marcelous Wallace, he was purchasing those diamonds from Joe Cabot..it's implied due to Vic & Vince being brothers.. Joe knew the place to get those diamonds from, while Marcelous Wallace had the cash & ppl to move them too.. Provided by the Vega brothers after Vic got out of Jail.. He was close to Joe and his son, the closest- plus it's the same briefcase as well, the one Mr. Pink was running with.. The diamond were stashed away, and some kids found it.(hence the ones that got killed at the beginning) they had a business deal with Wallace to return the diamonds for a price- and they decided they could get more money for them & kept them.. Well, that's more logical than a soul.. Considering the restaurant scene, how the guy was looking at them- and the whole speech about Devine intervention.. If Vincent saw a soul? He'd follow Jewels- quittin
+Above Beyond when tarantino was asked which was correct he said both and neither. He lets the audience decide themselves he said thats what makes it great. I like the soul theory. The old japanese myth (tarantino is heavily into these topics) about the soul being taken from the back of the neck. that marselous had sold his soul and wanted it back. which explains why he had the plaster on the back of his neck in all the scenes when he didnt have the briefcase, and it was missing in all scenes when he has the briefcase back.
lloydymk2013 But, that was explained too by Quentin, he said he cut himself shaving- and, Quentin decided it looked great for the part, gave the character more of an realistic feel.. it had no significance to the story.
But, true.. it's up to the audience.. word.
I like the diamond story.. just because it ties everything together in a way. Plus, Quentin, by what I recall, never dwell'ed into mysticism in his movies- or rather supernatural stuff in that way, his movies are more grounded to a realistic, or blaxploitation/spaghetti western/Martin Scorsese-ish/Cohen brothers type of style... but, yea, it comes down to the viewer on this case.. or rather what's in the case. Makes for good debates, and conversation tho. lol
you know what's fascinating about this dude? he's very curious and asks what they think. that means his still unsure of his work and needs feedback. I like that. Even after django he's still humble.
@@jerrysmith3302 I think what he's saying is that QT is still striving to be better, not that he thinks he's bad
I wouldn’t say he’s unsure of his work...but, he’s certainly opened for constructive criticism. The beautiful thing about that is he’s about to self-edit, tweak and evolve in his future writing.
No lol
Hands down, Favorite Director.
hell yea
Straight up.
Thought you was all about hands up?!
absolutely
+Jody GB Agreed
tarantino better get some freestyles
Still gonna be better than Omelly.
+TheHarlemGhost2 Lol Tarantino is a dope ass rap name too haha
You Should watch the ERB video with the movie directors in it
i️ need a 5 fingers of death Tarantino freestyle
Something about this dude reminds me of Robin Williams.
I was watching this trying to put my finger on who he reminded me of and then I read this you hit it on the head
+asasination23 they look very similar
+asasination23 drugs
+asasination23 They both got those big ass chins
His nose maybe
Pulp fiction was a cliffhanger.
I still want to see the story of Jules the Nomad.
TerraFirma your right I herd he was waiting for her to grow up cuz he wanted to use the same Lil girl
TerraFirma his next movie is supposedly going to be about Charles Manson
he showed up in kill bill playing a piano that's considered to be Jules
+AmbrizFer oh fuck.. so that would mean Jules was wasted by Bill and his gang
Havok A. Halo Right? QT never exactly said what happened to Jules did he? I don’t think he would ever write a PF sequel but I wouldn’t be surprised if he writes Jules in something or mentions him at some point. Who knows?
To all yall that think Quentin doesnt talk like that. Look at his other Interviews, acceptance speeches, press, etc. Thats how he normally talks. Its his personality
A lot of people don't know that his stepfather was black
He does not talk like that . Stop it. You’re not the only one who has heard him talk before
Whenever he’s comfortable like this in a setting with friends he talks like he’s himself.
@@Qleverett I can’t say whether this is the way he talks normally but unless you know him personally how can you say this isn’t his normal personality when pretty much all we ever see are him talking in interviews or public appearances where people put on their public personas, and I’m not sure about you but most people lean into the personalities of the people you’re around especially when you start to get comfortable and start cracking jokes
🤫
"The dialogue is almost meant to be it's own form of violence in the movie." -Mr. Tarantino
i love when tarantino gets around black people and start talking like a southern preacher
Exactly!
It’s so cringe
@@Qleverett you sir are cringe because your a loser and have nothing going for you in life
It’s pretty cringy actually
The guy is just having a good time. Stop being so sensitive
Every time I watch QT talk about a controversial topic he just endears himself more to me. Such an intelligent man with a heart.
Tarantino seems like such a dope dude. A true artist - you can just sense how passionate he is about his work. Awesome how he really cares about feedback too, asking everyone how they feel about the film. Was going to pass on this film until it was online, but I'll just go pay to watch it! Shout out Tarantino.
TARANTINO IS THE ONE OF TGE GREATEST DIRECTORS/ WRITERS OF ALL TIME UNDENIABLE
he starts talking about police brutality around 20:00 for anyone who's looking for it
violence begats violence ... and looting is just the collateral damage. I mean , it is what it is.
quentin tarantino should do a movie with Jackie chan
YES!!!
+Roy King. he should make rush hour 4
+Fresh Prince no if hes only doing 3 more movies. anything to do with rush hour must be avoid at all cost.
+chris zanotti he will prolly do more then that he seems like the type of guy who changes his mind all the time
Who says he's only doing 3 more movies? I've heard him say he wants to do 10 movies and then retire, but he has 19 directing credits on IMDB.
Even if you only count his solo-directed, "major" films, he's directed 9 films (8 if you count Kill Bill as one movie, which it was intended to be).
An awesome interview, shows how seriously in love Quentin is about films and making films
Tarantino has to be a distant Robin Williams relative. Or something.
Right? He's definitely the uglier cousin for sure!
He’s definitely got the chin!
People who are offended by Tarintino's use of racial slurs are too young to have seen the genre(exploitation era)or Rus Meyers films.
I think it's because people don't necessarily clock the difference between real life and cinema. Because to them they are just watching a movie and not looking at it as an art form, they fail to understand the difference in how if is used. It's like seeing a naked person in the park and seeing a naked statue in a museum completely different but for those who are yet to understand art and it's relation to reality these to things may evoke the same reaction.
Or Mel Gibson films
They’re virtue signalling cancel culture sheep idiots who latch on to mob mentality “social justice” to tear down anyone who says or does something that remotely goes against what they’re pretending to care about, because they don’t really care they just want to appear virtuous
MONDO TOPLESS!
They also "woke" ass cancel culture children claiming they know better than Adults who been there.
Shout out to Quentin Tarantino for being the baddest soul brother in Cinema
Quentin and Sam need to work on Afro Samurai
Still waiting for this
man that would be badass asfuck, totally something I could see tarantino doing
Those 2 would Utterly Destroy that series. lol
My favorite director, dude's in a league of his own
Ayy I just watched Inglorious Basterds randomly for the first time yesterday cause I was in the mood for a Tarantino flick.
ive never seen a white guy more genuinely comfortable around black people than quentin... shit not even eminem..
+Marc Touss what the fuck is this attitude black guys have like white people are awkward or suspicious of all black people, its a seriously misguided complex bro you should really look into it.
what exactly is it you're tryna imply anyway? we're all racist or we're all afraid of you? cause both are blanket statements, which are almost never true
john doh
relax "john doe"... just making an observation.. i think you're protesting too much...
Marc Touss its just a couple of questions bro, maybe its you who isnt relaxed?
feel interrogated or something?
im just tired of the black americans crying complex,we're all tired of hearing you talk about race, people who make everything about race are the real racists
why do you hate white people so much, you know i didnt do anything to you, right?
dude im always relaxed..dont trip..
im comfortable around anyone im white so stfu
I like Tarantino. Django was the greatest payback movie I've ever seen
Hateful Eight is gonna be a classic! I'm patiently waiting for it- man, every movie Quentin puts out I'm a fan of. Him & Robert Rodriguez are a great combination too.. Man, I hate he's giving it up after 10-11 movies.
Needs to take a break ... chill for a minute in Israeli and get back to it in a couple of years.
Legend. The dude doesn't apologize for being himself.
Such a trippy dude. definitely one of those people on another level mentally. too much talent too many thoughts floating around upstairs for one man.
Quentin the great..... there is only one like this man...... never duplicated, often imitated
From dusk till dawn is one of my all time favorite movies. Glad to see Quentin is on the good side of history.
Except the burning down sh*t, looting and causing a billion dollars worth of damage. THAT part. No. But he did elicit the conversation in his own , unique way. From Dusk Til Dawn was pretty damn good, too.
The Hateful Eight was amazing.. Sam Jackson & The Confederate part was siiiick! The whole twist was genius.. Quentin dropped a real classic. I'd like to see a prequel to Hateful Eight.. That needs to happen!
this interview was all kinds of LIT
Sway stays spoiling everything lol
I don't feel so good.
He's honest and keeps it real. Slavery is a "touchy" subject with alot of people which I find almost ridiculous. Whites, blacks, Asians, Egyptians, and the list goes on have all been or had slavery in their history... no one race has that only happened to. In addition this was all hundreds of years ago at the earliest no one in America has ever typically been a slave so no one should be offended by it... on another note- Quentin Tarantino is THE MAN!!! LOVE ALL OF HIS MOVIES ARE CLASSICS! ! ! #pulpfiction instant genius
11:10 For the Mumble Rap Fans out there Quentin basically said "I dont want to ghost write for someone else."
Man, as another man... to have a mind developed as his, maybe even half, would be so much easier the way he speaks. He’s truly a once in a lifetime. He makes it his own reality too. Which is amazing, crazy, and beyond imagination almost.
This guy's got a massive brain under that big ass skull of his. Definitely love his work!
I love Quentin Tarantino's interviews!
Next video,"Tarantino KILLS 5 fingers of death"
I still remember him on From Dusk Til Dawn
He referenced Manson.... Foreshadowing his next film ?
He freaking was
Hateful eight was an absolute beast of a movie damn one hell if a ride. go get it!
the "violence of the language" is so suspenseful for me & is testament to the strength of those characters as it just rolls right off them, doesnt even phase them & shows arrogance for others
Great interview...
Movie was great, just saw it last night. Thanks Quentin!!!!
SWAY DIDNT LIKE THE MOVIE LOL
+skinnysky How do you know? Did he ever say that?
THE EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE
+skinnysky
you're dumb
I K NOW RITE
+skinnysky Yeah, this guy clearly did not dig it.
when he started doing vincent vegas line, the way he spit it
watching this in 2020, the end of this piece makes me sad, as the issue keeps on rising up again and again-Quentin is awesome imho
Tarantino doing the black talk....
Q is a legend, bruh. I know he's going to go all out for his last time in the director seat..
Watching this during quarantine.
This is a dope ass interview. I barely check out Sways channel but the one of the few times I do Tarantino is on. Fucking right.
Quentin surely loves getting interviewed here.
"I dont do commercial movies I do my own thing". Damn fucking right!
elvis mitchell teaches at my university, met him a couple times, he lectured with one of my professors once. cool guy.
I hope he does The Vega Brothers film- tie up Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction!
+Above Beyond He's not going to because it would be a prequel, and it would be very hard to make those actors look young again...
I first seen him in From Dusk Til Dawn and being extremely attracted to him; and when he was in his less intense vampire form, omg - hearts in my eyes! And then the next time I see him, he looked like, well...not like that at all. Not even close ever since. >:(
Jackie Brown is my favorite Tarantino movie, but Grindhouse : Death Proof is right after that. Hopefully, he comes around & does a Kill Bill: Volume 3 really soon though.
damn , i never heard of those three , this is GOOD there's more QT i don't know about :)
The hateful 8 is one of my favorite Quentin moves of all time and one of my favorite movies ever. His movies are mind blowing. 🤯 ❤
My favorite actors are Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio...
I saw Leo in Django Unchained... now I want to see Denzel playing a role in a Tarantino movie, It would be an Oscar winning for shure
Adnan M. Denzel and Javier Bardem
He is one of my favorite directors
How do I stop these commercials b4 the video I'm bout 2 go crazy
I like sway vs. hot 105. Cuz sway lets the ppl talk & the convo evolves naturally.
TELEthruVOXx are u upset about fo76?
I love you,Quentin.
Regarding the N*99a word- Good save by Quentin "...the Dialogue itself is almost meant to be its own form of Violence..." Damn, he dodged that one lol
(17:57) I understand they have time limits for call-ins, but the way Sway cut the dude off was cold. The dude sounded like he had only three more words left to say before he was done.
very cool
No footfetish questions?
Perfect samuel l Jackson impression 😂😂
Favorite film maker of all time! Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are both in my top 10 favorite movies of all time!
AppreciateCha!!!
He should absolutely write novels once he retires from the movie business
get him and logic here n thatll be crazy
from true romance to resevoir dogs all the way to the hateful 8 dudes movies r all classics its crazy love tarantino plus hes a native of south knoxville my hometown lol dope
True romance is a good one. If y’all haven’t seen Tarantino’s penthouse scene from Four Rooms it’s underrated.
Damn it sway when you got the answers.... you just give em away! 6:55
Lmao I thought "The Ridiculous 6" and "The Hateful Eight" was the same movie.
I thought the Magnificent seven was the prequel.
Ayo Made me too🤧
hope they weren't as bad as the hateful 8. what a waste of talent.....it's what happens when a dirty Christ-killer (harvey weinstien) gets involved...look at him now. Mel Gibson and others warned us.
@@democratpro lol. Christ-killer? You mean child killer? I’m no fan of Weinstein but just trying to decipher this cryptic message of yours. How did he murder Christ?
damn tarentino is soo chill...
10:43 DB says "My Best Friend's Wedding" and it went right over QT's head. His first movie was "My Best Friend's Birthday"
man I love how eager he is to know what people think about his movie, truly gives a sh!t
MUTE THIS FROM 6:53 TO 7:01!
Too late..... Fuck man...
Its a fuckin big one as well smfh. HOW SWAY?!?! HOW?!?!
TARANTINO IS A LEGEND!!
saw this at 6:51 thank you omg

+CoolAss Tuck for what?
+ProjectDystopia like not really... i haven't seen the movie but they only referenced a couple things that didn't make sense anyway. tarantino shut sway up in time haha
+Ian Jackson for his new movie The Hateful 8
14:49 this is amazing 😂😂
7:01
Sway: Hold up, hold up
Quentin: AIN'T NO HOLD UP! AIN'T NO HOLD UP!
Tarantino is obviously crazy as hell...I like crazy people 👁
He’s not crazy to me. I think he’s just ridiculously passionate about his work and film as a whole.
He should make a movie with Heather B in it called all glocks down!!! 🔫
LEGEND!!!
I realize hes doing different things nowadays but I wish he would go back and make another movie like his first 3.. Totally unique gangster movies. Shit was dope.
Quentin Tarantino sounds like he belongs on south park.
Quentin you should make a movie about how Juelz and Vincent met.
Or where they're at, almost 30 years later...
@@musamusashi Vincent's dead, baby.
@@winstonmarlowe5254 😆 you're right.
I meant had Vinnie quitted the job as well... alternative ending.
Tarantino one of my favorite directors of all time
10:29 C'mon guys, at least Quentin should have known this. Paul Thomas Anderson released The Master on 70MM in 2012.
+evilmanimani Yeah but I remember that only showing in a few theaters. This is the first wide release of a movie in 70MM in a while
this isn't a wide release either because most theaters don't have the capability.
He's definitely top 3 directors of all time in my book... Ahead of Marty Scorcese but still second to Stanley Kubrick
I agree on Kubrick being the goat, Tarantino is up there, probably in my top 5.
@@musamusashi what are the best Kubrick films in your opinion? I've only seen 2001
@@yourmum69_420 they are all worth watching since they are all masterpieces in their respective genre.
Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket may be the most popular alongside 2001, but even the older ones like Spartacus or Dr. Strangelove are great. Or his final one Eyes Wide Shut.
All masterfully conceived and directed and all thought provoking.
@@musamusashi thanks, I've heard of all of them but not seen them yet. I'll check them out when I get a chance.

It was " Sidney Poitier " that told Tarantino.
"Man Up" Don't be afraid of your creativity.
in a previous Shay in the morning.
Not Sam Jackson.
he also was raised on black sploitation movies and hung around and grew up with black people.also went to school with mostly black people. he's very comfortable around black people. i almost feel like he's most in his element when he's with them.
As black people we're hypocrites. We pick and choose what we wanna be angry about. Then on top of that our "protests" are mainly disorganized. Shame shame shame
