Honestly besides the 90s beauties the 10th gen was everything we could have asked for in a stock civic, from body styling in the coup to the hatchback. Plus after running the 1.5t for awhile now it's overall fun and reliable. It's like an enthusiast perfect daily

Exactly, I kept my EK Civic for a long time because most Civics since look dull and uninspiring.. but it was getting old, needed a new car. So I got a 10th gen Civic with the turbo engine.. revitalised my love for Civics!

I had a 97 Honda Civic ex coupe that was very clean when I was in high school. I worked my ass off and paid $1500 for it in 2008. My first car ever was a 1990 Honda crx. Also worth mentioning that any quirk you can think of in this car has a fix with aftermarket support. The shifter in the non-Si/TR models is a little weird, admittedly (apparently shifter revision came in '18 but I can't speak for that personally), but you have companies such as Acuity who have developed direct-replacement parts to eliminate any of this weird stuff because it is SUCH a popular platform, and companies like 27Won that have been developing their own turbos, fmics, rmm's etc.
And so many of these companies have had a hand in the 11th gen already, with Acuity having their hand in the R&D for the 11th gen's shifter design. New Civics are really a great car to be in.

I went the BR series and extreme low in the back for my setup. ( fyi dont forget about this extreme low here) Im on a 18 x 9.5 (35) and 245/40ZR18. I forgot about extreme low and had to roll my fenders to keep the car sitting on its nuts. With negative camber im still able today to run the tucked fitment that i came to like about the 10th gen. I can say this my setup is close to not working. I really wish i had gone with an air suspension setup. It would of made life that much easier. Of course with that comes new headaches..
However, im very pleased that i'm about dialed in on its stance/ fitment. The performance end is what i went for first so its FBO and custom tuned. These cars i wouldn't call them "fast" but don't get me wrong they are definitely quick as shit.
The one downside here i can honestly say is the dam road noise and the constant search and destroy I'm doing the second i hear a new rattle, creaking, or vibration. Ive sound dampened the entire car almost. The current left over sound issue is still in need of sound dampening and that would be the top, the roof , and i gotta remove the head liner for that. Like a lot of the interior, you remove it, and its very likely you will introduce even more rattles or vibrations so take your time.
When i get to the end here hopefully soon I will be happy with it, the car is a ton of fun to drive and i love its style and aggressive look. Handling is insane once you lower its center of gravity and add some white line products like sway-bars and end links, camber adjustment is a must.

These handful of places give me that piece of mind and make these projects so much more enjoyable and exciting. Which they should be fun and exciting. For me thats what matters, its hard enough to teach yourself how to do a job on a car, and do it right the first time.

Highly recommend 27won for this platform. Dedicated RnD and blogging for every single part they make. They're not the most affordable but some of the highest quality in the 10th gen game. Kind of surprised you didn't mention them at all.
Also, the Achilles heel of this generation is the stock clutch. It will 100% slip with higher power than factory. It's manageable with a stage 1 tune, but for more serious power gains (>240whp) it is unusable.

I'm just here waiting for more options to come out for the 11 gen civics.. My chevy nuked itself and during the pandemic all my dealers had NOTHING on the lots. One tried dishing me a civic for 10K over MSRP because they only had 2 on the lot and needed the money. Found a dealer that wouldnt go over MSRP and thus landed on 11 gen. Still think the 10th looks more sporty. Wish I had a 10th, but when youre in that "I need a car YESTERDAY" panic..waiting wasn't an option x.x
