My father has left so many scars on me over the years and I always think of him when I listen to this song, and my relationship with him has continued to degrade over the years. Now we are no longer on speaking terms and I am all the better for it. The abuse he put me through over the years is something that's not in me to forgive, and likely never will. Nothing left inside of him except a rotten core, and I can't stand him, he can continue through life forever on his own pretending I don't exist. He's forever ruined himself with me, let him rot. If you only knew what I know, you'd understand. I will try as hard as I can for as long as I live to make sure I never become like him. I am not living in the shadow of my father, he will never destroy me, he will never corrupt me, he will never have a hold on me.

In the beginning she was honey bee a women who would suffer every time she had to sting. She was incredible and then she started on Meth. She changed so dramatically that my honey bee was twisted into an entirely different person. See when people use meth they develop a second personality and angel was a monster. Some people may be going through a divorce or break up, others may be grieving over the loss of a friend or family member, there's always stress and fear that people could lose their house because they can't keep up with the bills for it. I may not know exactly what problems they are going through, but I have a clear understanding of what is very stressful for people. I'm also not one to tell people how they should live their lives, because what they do with it is in their hands, not mine. Not only that, but one way of living will work for one person but not another. I will take back what I said about them thinking that brooding will make them look and act cool, because that's kind of a stereotype. I'm sure they are nice people if you get to know one, but what bothers me about them is not only do they not realize how good their lives probably are (if they take out the shit they're going through at the time), and them following a fad that is basically trauma porn. Not only do I find that slightly annoying and irritating, but it also bothers me because if I have a friend whose going through a tough time, obviously I would want to help them, but they need to be willing to help themselves.
I use to listen to this song as a loner in 9th grade. I hated the loneliness and the glares id get down the hallways. I hated being used and I use to wonder how much more of this lonliness and hatred could I take before taking my own life. I can proudly say 3 years later I'm alive and I've found old friends and im happier. This and a few other breaking Benjamin songs helped me cope with the lonely school days and distant cold nights..💕
