  • HoloLens 2 is coming later this year and in our first hands-on we learn about the doubled field-of-view (FOV), increased clarity, and how the OS is built around the idea of instinctual interaction. Plus, we'll talk about why HoloLens 2 is not only a big deal, but a real business now.

There's a burgeoning industry of companies who use game engines like Unreal and Unity to produce applications for enterprise customers. The market wasn't very mature until Unity came on the scene, because nobody made game engines that are as easy (or cheap) to work with as Photoshop is.
Long story short, I think the Unreal appearance was Unreal throwing their hat more into this business space than for any consumer oriented games.

Thanks. I'd say interaction models. You could use a BT keyboard and mouse with it, but not sure it's superior to sitting in front of a 28-inch monitor or even laptop. It's actually made for people who are doing jobs where they *can't* have a screen in front of them and need their hands. Still, there is potential here for it to someday replace your computer.

If they aren't, why is no one complaining about it. The FOV and lack of hand occlusion were the 2 biggest things that killed immersion for HoloLens 1.
