Yeah, found out 4 days ago, my mechanic (who I was supposed to take my truck into last week) now has COVID. I am high risk (part of why I didn't go over there) and feel crappy enough on a daily basis, but I still wear my mask.
He doesn't. If I had kept the appointment, I would have been infected and so would my trucker husband. So, oddly enough, what puts me at risk, also saved me this time.

im a american with asthma and i know the need for mask and it makes me mad to see some people not caring for wearing a mask.. like i have a possibility of dying and have struggled with breathing my entire life and i can say for a fact it doesn't restrict breathing please wear a damn mask :)
I have Dissociative PTSD which is linked to my seizures, we found out, due to stress. Wearing a mask makes my dissociation worse because it blocks my senses. The worse my dissociation is, the more likely I am for a seizure. My work had me stop wearing masks after 4 seizures but now I just wear a face shield. Like. Really people. Just cover your face. It's not that bad.

So I work in a library and I have been sitting at the front to give people their books as curbside pickup. The town has a policy where everyone who enters the library has to enter their name, phone number, time and date of entering the library, and some basic questions about covid symptoms. All of this is to inform people if someone who entered the library gets covid.
This older dude came in yesterday and when he found out about the forms, he started talking about how this was all so that the government can track you and it's all about tracking and stupid shit like that. When the security guard tried to explain the actual purpose, the dude wouldnt let him speak and just kept saying "it's not your fault I know you're ok" and then he left. The security guard and I were just looking at each other like wtf?

Well, from a certain point ot view, he is right it's about tracking...in this case, *neccessary* tracking, to see who's been around you and vice versa. Noone cares what you're doing there, just where you went and whether you or someone else might have been sick at the time.

It's about problem solving, repetition, accountability and acknowledgement, resources and management of resources, and always trying your best. You go at it because you want a challenge, and the best way to make it through is with A) someone OPAF to show you what potential you have and B) constant positive reinforcement to keep a good attitude. You slowly grow and gain a sense of pride and achievement.
You understand how the game is meant to be played. I hope to get my sis into the game and remind her that death =/= failure. It's a tough but good way to remind yourself that you can keep chipping away at a problem (no matter what kind of hits you take) and eventually succeed!
On the flip side though, I was watching a video about invading first-time DS streamers in the Remaster as fun, themed player characters and this one dude just told the streamer to Alt-F4 every time they got an invasion notice.... That's how you teach a person to be fearful and push their frustration onto others and not have a good time.

I'm in New Zealand and I was an essential worker who saw no family or friends for 5 weeks and didn't get the wage subsidy. Also I moved out of my parents house 2 weeks earlier. I'm 18. Sad but necessary to keep away from people to stay safe.

Just to let you know at 8:40 (I know it's probably not the case here). The masks we received from my community are slightly different than the one in the photo, which makes it a bit more difficult to breathe (some communities receive different masks than others). They consist of 2 layers of textile that you can put in an extra filter. The mannoer to stretch also ensures that there is no gap between your skin and the mask. As a normal breathing person, you do need to get used to it and so you could have small breathing problems when wearing, and it would certainly be more difficult for older people and those with breathing problems. I'm just saying this to keep you informed so you don't just find someone stupid when they say they have it a little more difficult breathing.

Thanks for being civil about your argument. However, as someone who is a U.S. citizen, I want to let you know that the specific kind of mask you mentioned in your post is NOT what people are talking about here when they say that masks "restrict their breathing"- rather, they're freaking out over the masks you can get at, like, Walmart (which I can say from having worn them myself, they most certainly do NOT make it hard to breath). They're merely being overly-dramatic and trying to claim whatever they think will make people suddenly take their side on the issue.

It's probably Japanese. It says hentaigaijin and means pevert foreigner. If I type hentaigaijin on Android's Japanese keyboard then I can write 変態外人 which is the same word. Many nouns in japanese are written entirely in kanji (Chinese characters). Now technically, it could also be a Chinese word that means the exact same thing but it would be pronounced differently. It impossible to tell because it's written entirely in Chinese characters.
Am Chinese, can confirm that it is Chinese. I cannot confirm that it is not Japanese since many Japanese characters are Chinese characters.
