Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, whch is about 40 minutes from NYC. In 2017, I moved to Ohio to become a TV news reporter, but after waking up at 2 a.m. for 5 years, I decided to leave that job and pursue CZcams full-time.
I recently bought a house in Cincinnati and love making all kinds of videos, focusing on everything from money and finances (saving, budgeting, and being financally independent in your 20's) to health, fitness, and nutrition, to beauty and fashion. I'm getting married next summer so I also love providing wedding updates and showing you exactly how I'm planning my own wedding.

My biggest regret was hiring my cousin as photographer. We paid her, she did the photos. But other then a few she posted online, we never got our pictures. No explanation (she claimed she lost them?) really, and it also ruined our relationship. I have learned over the years not to hire friends, family for anything. Then if you have issues, it doesn’t break relationships or make things awkward.
We had a friend do ours. He handed us a few pix a couple of months later, in the Kodak folders, not even in a book! He supposedly lost 3 rolls of film. Only one picture with my mother!
(BTW, this was our gift too.) I'm still bitter 43 years later.

Your Mama looked like a queen...she picked the right dress. My one regret was not hiring a professional protographer. We had a pretty simple wedding but I wish I had good photos!

I wish mine took more pics of my guests! Of course I like to have them of myself and family but the other is sot something I had thought about before
My regret -- I paid to get my makeup done but didn't realize lipstick was not included and I was expected to bring my own .. I didn't have any so was completely without lipstick on my wedding day.
“My dad was dragging me down the aisle” it’s almost like in perfect Tom form, he’s like “hurry Zac take her off my hands already!!” 😂 I love Tom!

When I walked the Isle. My husband's uncle was able to take me.( He had 2 sons so it was a special moment for him and my dad could not fly from Ukrain.) but all I remember I kept saying left right left right so I did not fall in my heals.
My biggest regret was too many unnecessary diy projects, also getting married during mother's day weekend and prom made it hard to find hair/makeup & flowers. Also I would make a rule that if anything goes wrong- don't tell the bride/groom, tell the venue staff, parents, anyone else. Don't stress a couple out.
Everyone looked so nice. The picture with both sets of parents is beautiful. Both moms looked so nice and you looked like a princess. Just stunning. Wishing you both all the best.

Your mother looked so beautiful in the pictures. The blue dress was the right choice. Airfares during the 4th weekend were crazy we flew to Kentucky from Austin for my niece's wedding and the cost of the tickets was mind-blowing. Soon you won't remember your regrets as you will just enjoy married life with Zac.

I’m only 24 seconds in and I love what you said about regrets! It’s a huge pet peeve for me too. Regrets are a part of life! They can help us grow, learn, or even help us give advice to others!

Kathy looked amazing!!!! After all her dress drama, she chose the right one. At the time of my wedding, I had the same hair issue. My hair never held curls. I don’t know what my hairstylist did that day, but my hair held up perfectly. I will say she used a lot of hair products. 🤣🤣 Does your hair look a little flat in some pictures….yes. Does it take away the beauty of your pictures…no. Your photographer did amazing. I especially loved The Burke Family photo. 💕💕

In Poland wedding reception is much longer. IT usually starts about 4-5pm at lasts till about 4am(sometimes even longer). Sometimes wedding lasts 2 days-main event on saturday and shorter party on sunday
My biggest regret was not getting a videographer.
I didn’t do an autopsy of my wedding the days following. I planned it, it was my day. I did what I wanted. I opted out of a videographer and limos, and didn’t miss either. 25 years later, I don’t wish I could watch my wedding. Also, I asked my photographer to do CANDID pics outside of the official photos. I have the best reception photos of everyone having fun!
Yes!!! I don’t regret no videographer either 22 years later!

Lol my ceremony was at 2pm 🤣 (at a church) and then reception was 4-10 because we had a 2 hour cocktail “hour”. So glad we added that extra hour! We took photos during the first half and could enjoy the second half.
One regret I have is that my photographer didn’t get photos of our cigar bar or dog biscuit bar lol. I don’t think any guests did either 😢 A silly regret but I spent so much time making everything.
That’s sooo smart to have a 2 hour cocktail hour!!!!

I loved spending the night before away from my husband, my friend stayed with me so I wasn’t alone and saying goodbye to him felt so exciting

your wedding looked GREAT! the fireworks added a fun touch. I also understand about breaking "tradition" and not being separate from your significant other before the wedding...I think that should be an individual decision FOR SURE. my mom planned my sister's wedding and stressed about EVERYTHING...she still complains to this day (6 years later). I threw up during the whole thing (heatstroke lol).

Congratulations on the wedding! The venue is my fave! Everything looks amazing and you were so beautiful! The only thing that shook me is how a wedding ends at 11pm 😮In my country it typically ends around 4 5am and it starts at 3-4 pm 😀
Oh wow, that’s crazy!! I think that’s actually how it was for my cousin’s wedding in Ireland - but I was so tired I ended up going back to the hotel around midnight while everyone partied for hours 😂

I totally stand by your holiday date feelings. I got married around Cinco de Mayo (which is HUGE in arizona) so it's hard to go have a romantic dinner for our anniversary because everyone is partying. My bday is around Valentines Day so it's hard finding a restaurant that isn't packed with romantic diners. LOL

My biggest regret was not saying NO when people offered to do things for us. Ie, I'll do your hair and makeup , I'll be your videographer. It always turns out bad. My cousins husband was going to be our videographer and they cancelled 2 weeks before the wedding.

Our wedding was 5-11pm and honestly I was exhausted by 1030 😂 dancing was from 8-11pm and then we had an after party at our hotel - I think I got unbelievably lucky, but I cannot think of one thing that I would’ve changed about the wedding day 😅 like literally between my wedding planner setting the schedule making sure the day ran smoothly and my bridal party handling everything from feeding me to bustling my dress for me we were set - I didn’t do any touch ups either by 930 I looked a hot mess from dancing lol
Finally someone who talks about regrets. Yes I have regrets and even on my wedding. I forgot to get someone to record the wedding. Oh we have pictures but didn’t get to see everyone walk down the isle be fore me or at reception.
My biggest regret was not getting a videographer. Tbh me and my husband were so ready to go so I didn’t care that it “ended early”. I was so exhausted but we also did a brunch with friends the next day which helped the feeling of not spending enough time with friends on my wedding night. I wish I didn’t talk to so many people, but I felt like I didn’t get to enjoy my wedding..I just met new people all night long 😢

I’m recommending two different descriptions of this (helpful) video : “lessons learned” or “after action review”. Both capture all the things you want to share with us, yet put it into a things to learn position. Regret is such a strong word anymore. Your last point is key - don’t worry. You will be married regardless of what happens ( unless you forget to get a marriage license. 😅)

I’m using the too faced melted matte liquid lipstick in the shade “suck it” with “faux” lipstick by MAC on top!!
I should have included my sister more. I was so confused though. With the temple ceremony where my family couldn't attend, and then the reception. We got lucky they built the Temple right next to the church building where we had the reception.
Personally, I don't think it was "too much vodka" but may be some vodka+really stresfull day made you feel more relaxed at the after party..))

I wish I would have had a videographer. We had an epic EDM dance party segment at our reception with glow sticks and I have just one 8 second video from my maid of honor. 😅 Luckily my sister-in-law got a few videos of the first kiss, introductions, pie cutting, first dances, and garter grab/toss so I'm very grateful for that. Also I'm so glad my bridesmaid is a seamstress' daughter because NO ONE told me anything about pinning the train up. Hahaha. I had no drinks at my wedding (apple juice for champagne because I dont like it) and I was very happy with that choice.
You all look good, but damn your mom looks so amazing in that dress. It's worth all the dress struggles. 👗 🤌

As a wedding planner it pains me your coordinator didn't catch the pins when you got ready nor cue the band or DJ in some way to continue the song or not change it yet until you were ready ☹😣Unless she was just a coordinator for the venue obviously I don't know all the details. I wish I had done a videographer. My father in law filmed but it was rough. I do appreciate he got footage though. I hired a wedding coordinator that I met through a venue and wholeheartedly regretted her because she was a mess.

As you probably know, weddings here in Ireland kick off about 1pm and continue for two days, my only regret was the open bar on the second day because our bank balance took a serious knock 😂😂, it was actually worth every cent though, we all talk about it all the time as one of our best weekends ever.

I’d love for Zach’s perspectives, because though there is many people that say it’s the brides day; and they make the event. Although to me it shouldn’t be just her day, and her event; but their event. I feel sometimes men or the significant other is left out of the decisions made, and if I was to have a wedding in the future, I don’t want to be left out of it; and enjoy our day. Our anniversary is July 4. One regret I have is that we got married in a small town so EVERYTHING was closed for out of town guests. Also, we hired family members for our photographers. Should have hired professionals. 😢
I completely do not understand why people in US have weddings just for few hours. We usually start a church ceremony around noon/maximum 2pm and we have fun all night, usually till 4am in Poland. Some people do also a "after wedding party" next day do its the same fun from 6pm till 4am.

Weddings are so funny - a million things can go right just at the same time a million tiny things can also go wrong. You just have to shrug it off and just make sure you get the entire thing recorded for when you are both old and want to relive the moment. I absolutely dont understand why people dont put the money in for really good photos and footage of the entire day. You only get it once. I will be spending well over 3000 for mine. Got a really good band and so much more that I never panned in the start but I know guests will never forget it and neither will I.
