So fun! Can’t wait to try it out!
Great video. Going to give this a try.
Hi Randy - would you be able to advise how to make a V-shaped ring without a ring bender? I'm having a heck of a time trying to get it right. Length? How to shape with very basic jewelry pliers? Thank you for your videos. I'm a huge fan!!
Hi! Thanks. Can there be a consistency with these so they can be easily stacked?
Hi Randy, just want to ask you about your opinion on gold filled on silver setting as decoration? Is it durable because not touching the skin? I heard so man people saying about copper and braze not durable and change colour. I would like the idea of silver pendents but with gold colour pattern. Any suggestion would be appreciated - Thank you
Good morning. Nice tool and happy that doing these videos that help us all are supplying you with these goodies. I was wondering what size wire you used to do this?
I used 2mm wire for this but you can really use any size you like up to 4ga
Hi Randy! Can you create that same wishbone in a bracelet using rectangular wire? I'd love to see that.
I don't know, but I would think so. I don't have any rectangular wire on hand so I would have to make some more buy some to try that out. How thick do you think it would need to be to look good?
I'm thinking that the bracelet would need to be somewhere between .25 and .5 inches. The rings you did looked great stacked btw. Thank you for sharing.
I dream of this ring bender. Also I did not know you should cut halfway through overlap. What flux do you use ? Thanks
Yeah, this ring bender has been a lot more useful than I thought it might be. I use handy flux, I works great for just about everything I do but make sure you have good because it is toxic.
You can also make a puzzle ring starting with two of those rings. (=,"
Oh well of course you dont need to use math when you have advanced ring benders, lol! I'm trying to make a 3 row V ring one continued wire then ends wrapped around the front.
its ok when you get your gear for nothing mate no problems but when you have to scrape over a hundred an odd qui together that takes over five month or more to save its no joke
You are right, getting tools for free does give me a bias about them seeing that I didn't have to put my money on the line for them. That being said I do have to put hours or days of work into a video about them so they are not really free. 😅
If you've seen my videos in the past I have only really used the cheapest tools I could find and I still use a lot of them but now that I'm able to get better equipment I can see how much time and energy I have waisted trying to save money. Don't get me wrong you can do this without a ring bender but it would take longer and would be less consistent but I can be done.
If you can, get the simple tools and make money using them so you can get better equipment to make your work earlier and faster in the future. 😁👍
