- What a crazy game. I would like to say this week's review is coherent, but I am really just venting on 2 big points dropped.
I also talk about the reasons to be optimistic over the next few weeks, and why I think 7 wins will do it.

I disabled all notifications for LFC content that I follow. Was definitely looking forward to this video...kinda like therapy to me atm since you usually have a good way of making light of a shitty situation. I'm not as disappointed as I should be, but yeah, the game was ours from minute 1 and then we just let them have it.

I see this as a point gained because of the frantic nature of this match.

Its like a riddle
The stat that i am obsessed about with Liverpool is shots/target. 28/7 yesterday. We create chances. Too many half chances but chances nonethless. But quite a lot great chances as well and our finishing lets us down. Far too many that dont even hit the target. Diaz and salah skying over the bar from 6 yards is just mystifying. And the number of times the opposition scores with one of their few chances I've lost count of. This is why I'm not confident we will win a game until the final whistle. Its torture but it is what it is and has generally got us to places we wouldnt have dreamed of before klopp came.

The recent match against Manchester United was a nail-biter, ending in a stupid f***ing draw that had all of us on the edge of our seats. While we all wished for a win, (sorry I don’t pray) the team showed great character and resilience, and particularly young Jarell Quansah, qualities that define the club, the players, and the fans. This draw is just another step in our journey, and I believe it will only make our team stronger. The harshness of his treatment from so called supporters and fans is abysmal but are par for the course when social media dictates the news for a few hours of “woe is me!!!” and Jesus this is the worst we have ever played! Sack Klopp (oh sorry I forgot he’s going!), Bring out your dead, Call out “Unclean, Unclean” Ring the F***ing Bell)
I’ve seen all this shit before in my 60+ years of following our team. I can also say with enthusiasm, borne of years of disappointment, that we are watching one of the greatest teams in the world playing some of the best football ever! Who the hell needs an Arab nation to spend their national revenues on our game, to play clinical , mediocre football year after year and to cheat their fans and the game for years.

The bit about not killing the villian when their down with bullets to the head was a perfect analogy for this match. So many chances and quality opportunities throughout the match.
Suffice to say that I dread seeing the expected goals philosophy stat on reddit these days, even if we win! Hahaha. This match we had 3.5 xg and United had 0.7 xg or something like that. Definitely a tough one to take.
Mo since Afcon hasnt been as sharp or clinical as his normal exceptional standards. Darwin and Lucho are not necessarily natural finishers. I keep saying we need to get Romario to come train Darwin haha. Really stoked Lucho scored though, he has been playing so well recently.
We are missing Diogo of course. The true hunter in our team. Ruthless and like Rick James, Cold Blooded.
The amount of stoppage time winners and points from losing positions this season has been totally insane. We pretty much sustained it all season. Which has been magical. I started caling this squad the Magic Mentality Monsters. Yesterday the magic just wasnt quite strong enough. Although Harvey nearly won it at the death AGAIN.
I just want this title so, so much. For a number of reasons: it is Klopp's last dance and I love that man and his philosophies more than I can say, I love this squad, they have exceeded all expectations this season, and I want to be able to tell the refs that they cant stop us and to kindly get bent.
We should be 5 points clear at the top given that we would have beat Totteham without that horseshit red on Curtis, and Jota, and the phantisma, fairy tale offside that didnt exist on Lucho's goal. Then the no call on Doku kung fu kicking Macca against Shitty.
I am trying to be less salty about the refs, but if we are not champions I will write PGMBOL a hand written letter of my discontent with as many profanities per sentence as can logically be fit. That is all. But for know I dont even want to talk about refs haha.
At least we are still a point ahead of Shitty. Up the fucking Reds. Jota and Trent back in the team please. I feel like Trent helps finish more chances because his passes are so good that my grandma could finish them.

I healed today & watched ur whole video.🙄 Honestly, I am still upset of wasteful Diaz against City more than Salah or anyone else. Diaz wasted multiple easy chances at Anfield🤦♀️ We should have hit two birds in one stone & finished City’s title hoes for good😩

6:38 unfortunately I agree that Salah’s form has been poor recently, when compared with what he’s been doing over the years. He takes weak shots instead of passing to players who’re better positioned, and he loses the ball more frequently. And it’s not due to the fasting month because he’s also fasted in previous years and we didn’t get comments about his poor form then. 😢
Salah loses the ball so frequently ita unbelievable.Hr wastees so many chances before he scores one but they let him pass when he scores and all is forgotten.He balloons the ball over the bar so many times and also takes tame shots at the keeper when you need a goal badly.His right foot isn't good at all and he struggles with it.
I've stayed clear of all Sky related content today! I had a 30/1 bet nearly come in but McAlister needed a shot on target I was delighted when I saw him getting ready for the pen.
At the start of the season if you told me we would be joint first on points after getting a draw at Old Trafford with Kelaher, Bradley and Quansha in defence I would have taken it

Thanks Andy, helped me process it - I was not great company at all yesterday but was proud of myself to stay Schtum when the missus said “Its only a game!”. We paid the price for not finishing our chances and I think Klopp was too slow to bring on fresh legs. We hit that 70 minute slow down in intensity. Salah should have come off for Elliot after 60 minutes

Any other year a draw away at United is a good result.
Before the game I figured we could win 6 and draw 2 of the last 8 (draws away at United and Villa), and still win the league. Assuming City drop points away at Spurs, and Arsenal drop points away at Spurs and away at Man United.
That said, we should have walked this league this year, had we not got done over in the Spurs game, and with the lack of a penalty against City for the foot in the chest. We should have beaten United at least once too given the way the games went.
We can still win the title though, believe.

one positive I can take is that at least Liverpool got their 'slip-up' out the way first of the three and could be kick up arse to win remaining games. Pressure on other 2 now to be 'perfect' and keep winning all their games

anyways, to my main point, even when our attackers are all having an off day at the same time, our midfielders (and trent) usually bail us out - the 4-3 vs fulham sticks out, and the games around / after it. All in all, we really needed trent, but we still go to the end of the season, UP THE REDS
Edit: that therapy segment was perfect, encapsulated my emotions perfectly.
Also, on Salah, him being out for the longest he's ever been out, and being rusty along with fasting is a horrendous combo, although i think that the brentford game gave a false idea of how good he'd be once he came back

This is only the 2nd video I’ve watched about LFC since the game, sigh.
1) What exactly was the thought process running in Quansah’s mind when he chose to ignore VVD’s call to play the ball back to Kelleher, and instead played a horizontal ball across the field to gift United’s first goal?
2) This game proves conclusively how badly we miss Jota. Our attacking players were totally wasteful and naive. They wasted chance after chance, horrendous.

I don't hold out any hope for a goal difference closure, so we are going to be needing Arsenal to drop points and to play at our absolute best over all 7 league games. It's a tightrope we can walk over, but we just don't want to be looking down, for even one moment, as there are sharks below and a seagull sitting on our head ready to crap on us. Hopefully the Seagulls rolling over for that one is the only team that don't go out to get something from playing the Arse.

I can't believe people forget the amount of times in Salah's Liverpool career he has had barren periods. Just because he has managed to score so many goals and has gotten a few real peaches. He has been cold and wasteful as much, if not more so. Except for last season he has always had a dominant team behind him providing him with so many final product moments.

What really hurts Andy is that Utd were so terrible, I mean just awful...yes Bruno took his fluke goal well, yes Mainoo scored a sweet goal but beyond that they were a bag of sh*te. We were wasteful, sloppy and carefree/less. We should have buried them, they were that bad. That's what I want to talk to my therapist about. It's a mystery as to how we didn't just go out there and spank them. Utterly awful day at the office.

Completely agree about Salah in last two games, but has felt like all front players have all been out for themselves maybe because they have been in and out so wanting to score, but they are not playing each other in until the chance has gone. Although Diaz got that strike we don’t seem to have anyone other than Jota who will get in and take those 6yd box chances.
