I have no idea what's going on in this game

Gains & Games Ep 29. Death Stranding - Deadlifts
I've never played Death Stranding and I couldn't tell you the first thing that's going on in the story other than the main protagonist is played by Norman Reedus. But that aside, its always looked aesthetically beautiful for a grim style of game.
However, here has not been a ton of positive feedback about the Death Stranding game calling it things like a walking simulator and boring. But its claimed that people who call it that never played the game.
Regardless, the trailer for DS2 left people asking more questions and even intrigued myself to give it a try. Perhaps DS2 is what makes DS1 more popular in the long run.

I feel like the death stranding game looked like it had many horror elements with monsters but that fight scene looks goofy and more comical in my opinion

I wish it had more of a traditional combat and leaned into it because some of those creepy enemy designs looked really cool
