When i saw this game for the first time, i told myself that i think we need a new MGS, and to be honest i still think we need a new MGS because, MGS3 was the best, MGS1 was iconic till this day, MGS4 is a kinda awesome low pace movie game, MGS Ground Zeroes is a well entry demo to the franchise and finally MGSV TPP is like the ultimate fantasy stealth tactical operations of 2015 main game.

@@sheriffdraws8789 I can't say anything about MGS2 because I didn't played when it was released I was hooked up to MGS3 back then, unless Konami decides to remaster the main game alongside with MGS2 and MGS3 after Silent Hill 2 remake.

The head stone! It also said " son taken before his time " who was it referring to? It seemed like it was trying to show us that headstone as well. I could be reaching, but maybe Konami killed Kojimas boy! Before it was his time. Yall know they're remaking the first 3 games apparently? I'm sure Kojima will be involved.
the Clifford Unger episode in vietnam gave me flashbacks from Central Africa where I had fought the parasite infected deadmen... the fact it was also at night it felt exactly like mgs v ... Also fighting Higgs with the giant BT felt exactly like mgs 1 metal gear fight shooting stinger missiles on the antenna on the metal gear shoulder where higgs hid... then of course fighting higgs felt like fighting the Boss from mgs 3 and then liquid ocelot from mgs 4... the voice of troy baker felt like mgs v's ocelot too... Death Stranding is a metal gear game ... never mind the scenes and the personas...

The pictures on 11:14 are of Peter Englert, Coffin and Fragile. I currently don't see it as related to Paz or Big Boss.
Original death stranding feels so empty when i see all of this director's cut content. Like this is amazing. Pity i don't have a ps5 to get all of this content and complete game again.
Honestly I prefer the game without roadsters all over the place. Kinda ruins the aesthetic. But the extra missions I agree with you.

Illusion of a stealth mission yet everyone is on Kojima's nuts so they won't call this out as absolutely lacklustre.
Just goes to show what people actually want from him.
The moment you discover that the base is a sprawling compound a la Outer Heaven, Shadow Moses, The Tanker, Big Shell and Camp Omega, and the music shifts to nigh-perfect recreation of the sound of Harry-Gregson Williams and Norihiko Hibino's score for Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, is when you realise this part is Kojima proving he can still do a stealth game should he so desire. As someone playing one of the Solid V duology (Ground Zeroes) and who finished a playthrough of Solid 1 just prior, those were all I needed to confirm this was the big Metal Gear homage mission. Sam trying the cardboard box and then deciding against it due to his armour plates and backpack was also funny.
To Death Stranding fans who are interested in Metal Gear: You're in for something special come October 24th 2023 when Vol.1 of the Master Collections come out. These games are STILL kings of the stealth genre even today... Especially Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Solid 3: *SNAAAAKE EATEEEER.* [I'm serious, I've done multiple playthroughs of the former, and attempted a playthrough of the latter, I can say that those vie for position of fan-favourite on a daily basis nowadays for good reason]

How is death stranding like?
It's decent but it feels more like a playable movie at times with less emphasis on the gameplay. The world is cool but I felt it was missing things to do. A lot of it is hiking from A to B. It's definitely worth a play now that the price is down.

I dont want more Death Stranding, I want a new Metal Gear. Compare this with MGS3 is so depressing...
If only theres is a way to convince Kojima, to somehow work on a franchise that he no longer have a licence for, and somehow not getting sued by Konami
I absolutely love Kojima, but I just can’t with this game. What a dud. I really miss metal gear. Still playing TPP. If I was gonna give anyone the benefit of the doubt it’s Kojima and seeing this absolutely Tranq pistol of a game just makes me tap out. kinda mad almost. When art direction supersedes actual fun and challenge of a game it’s always a bad call. such a shame. Cuz no one makes games like him.
