    Honestly the E for everyone would've been a much better marketing decision. Some people that would've bought this might be worried about the branding. Personally I'm not someone who's worried about having a "man" gun. I've got the Shield EZ and absolutely love it, but the only drawback to that pistol is the capacity. I'll definitely be picking the PDP-F in the near future! Thanks for your video!

    For a long time, I didn't know what would be the best pistol for me, especially being left-handed and having small hands. I looked at Beretta, S&W, Glock, Sig Sauer, Khar, and H&K, but hardly any of them didn't suit my needs. Until I learned about the Walther PDP series. Great guns for left and right-handed shooters, pretty light. But they sell out very quickly. Until one day, I go to Academy Sports, and they just got new orders of the PDP-F, and when I held it, it was the perfect fit for my hands and was much lighter then the previous models. So I purchased it. I have to say Walther has always found a way to make improvements to their weapons. I can easily say that I'm a proud owner of this outstanding gun.

    Man with Large glove size hands ,love the feel of the p99 and ppq with the small backstrap but the Medium points better and gives room for the support hand. I think you would need some really small hands to need a smaller grip than that in the F. My wife is 5'4" with small woman hands and handles medium backstrap walthers and caniks fine . Also if youre gonna do a full size 15 rd grip might as well give me the added half inch of barrel and keep it G19 size idk why you cut it to a 3.5 inch. When the grip is whats hard to conceal not the slide

    I'm a woman and I have the PDP-F but don't ever say the "F" designation because I don't want people to think I'm stupid enough to fall for such marketing or the totally ridiculous idea that there are guns for women and guns for men. Any design that could benefit a woman will benefit some, many, or all men for the same reason but in fact besides the narrower grip the gun isn't smaller, lighter, easier, or with less recoil. It's a full inch bigger (in height) than the PPQ while even the PPQ is considered too large by most women who carry, the slide has to be racked further back to reset the trigger than the PDP-MALE version, the slide has the deepest and sharpest serrations on any gun I've ever handled, and it is not easier to rack than at least the Glock 19 or S&W M&P 9mm I shot last week along with the PDP-F. Less trigger reach. That's it.
    I only got it for the 3.5" barrel and because I couldn't find a PPQ anywhere. NO complaints about the actual gun, as a gun, at all. I think it's Walther joining International Corporations, Inc. endeavor to plaster the world in "female," even in places that make no sense like firearms. So they play the ridiculous game where females are catered to because it's expected, but not catered to so as not to give offense. A "female gun" would be pink with "Lady Walther" in gold lettering on the side, otherwise, a gun is a gun.

    • @Skeetersbuzz
      @Skeetersbuzz  Před 2 lety +2

      Ok……..to start, I am all about the “right gun for the intended purpose”. If the purpose is “deep concealment” then the standard 365 is the way to go and, is what I carry. I actually have an SAS slide on my 365 because in a defensive situation, you would never have time to use your sights and I want as little as possible sticking out of the gun that could snag on clothing etc. You would be point shooting (up close and personal) and your correct thumbs forward grip is what will direct your round. The XL (for me) takes the gun out of it’s conceal-ability factor. With that said: you should always do what makes “you” comfortable and makes sense for you!

      I wasn’t sure of the answer so I asked my contact at Walther. Here is his response: The barrels are not hammer forged. They are made of high grade carbon steel and a button is used to form the polygonal rifling. The accuracy of the Walther barrel is further enhanced by the Step Chamber that unique to Walther and H&K.
      The step chamber is the original 9x19 design that George Luger designed in 1909/10 for the German military. Every other pistol manufacturer eliminates the Step Chamber because of the cost in manufacturing. The Step Chamber not only keeps the pistol cleaner it also increases the bullet velocity.

My original intent was to leave the “F” without an optic…..BUT, I had the Walther reps in last week and saw a new direct mount Holosun for the PDP. The problem with that particular sight is that Holosun does not want to make it and release it to the public. They want Walther to buy it and distribute it. Walther makes guns and they are not in the optic business. There is one out already for Glock but Glock bought them and are distributing them, as far as I know. “IF” the direct mount Holosun becomes available, I will probably try it on the PDP F!

      The slide serrations shouldn’t give you any issues because they are covered by the holster. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The grip “is” dramatically different and is what will make this gun easier to conceal and carry…..although, my IWB conceal carry gun is a Sig 365!

      Not even close………IMO, you can’t compare a Glock to a PDP. The Walther is just a far superior gun in so many ways!
