Ghana decided to play only after conceeding the first one, and just as gyan put his team in advantage they simply stopped playing again, and the inevitable draw happened. A very lazy match I think. Algeria on the other hand actually played on the german's level.

Finde ich auch. Im Fernsehen sieht es meist etwas anders aus und man kann die Schmerzen eines Fouls nicht nachvollziehen. Aber manchmal finde ich es doch affig, wenn einige sich bei jeder kleinen Berührung des Gegenspielers fallen lassen und dann so lange am Boden liegen.

Algeria was probably the toughest opponent Germany faced in 2014 WC. I was at the edge of the seat the entire match. If it weren't for Neuer, it could've been a huge upset.

In the end they lost a bit unlucky, but also due to Neuer's strong performance. But don't forget that Algeria's goalkeeper made a very good match to with some fantastic saves. All in all it was a great match

Rightfully so. They threw away their chance of achieving greatness. There were many very tight situations when Neuer came out and on this pro level, every percentage of performance counts. Algeria could have beaten Germany, but they rather satisfied their need for superstition instead. Germany did not and went on winning the world cup.

Wie willst du solche Leistungen mit Yaschin oder Zoff vergleichen, die in ihrer Zeit Meilen besser waren als alle anderen Torhüter?
Für mich sind Kahn, Buffon und Neuer ganz oben auf der ewigen Bestenliste. Alle aus unterschiedlichen Gründen.

I remember watching this match with my friends and most of us said Germany will win by 3 or more goals but during the first half the Algerians said it all and like they will win or lose like men and to say when Algeria had the ball in front of the goal the way neuer came out and disposed the ball from them was savage and lit to say most of the goalkeepers would get scared and decide to stay in the box and that's how they concede goals hats off to neuer for being fearless
It usually goes like that, the Algerian fans always keep their words until the match ends, we don't comment before the match. Never.
Talking too much in the media or underestimating the team for being arab/african is the reason other teams got defeated by algeria

You could argue that Algeria played equally well as Germany, and that Germany got lucky by winning this.
And while Algeria really played a fantastic game, having neuer is just like having a Messi, players like him can just win games on their own, I would say just neuer played better than the other 21 players combined and deserved to win this game.
