Can we just talk about how bizarre it is that the Champions nor the Divine Beasts are anywhere to be seen in this game? These were massive machines with a ton of importance on Hyrule’s history (at least in this timeline), how the heck did they just vanish and nobody even acknowledges them or their champions?
Same with the guardians. I would love to see some ruins in the depths or something.
Mipha statue still there
They were either buried again or completely dismantled due to Ganon taking control of them in BotW
@@lavaluffy same. Maybe some kind of special area in the depths with a bunch of remaining guardians now corrupted by gloom. The whole game has this odd feeling of lacking Shiekah tech, the only things that seem to exist are the towers and the Purah Pad. Outside of that, everything is just gone, and Zonai stuff is suddenly all over the place. Don’t get me wrong, Zonai tech is really cool and all, but why should it mean that almost all traces of the Shiekah tech have just disappeared from existence?
@@knyte8706 one of my main complaints about an otherwise awesome game. Very confusing
Tip for the Ruta Helm: actually you don’t need any of the stuff he says, once you’re in the cave just glide straight into the other waterfall to get the helm, and then use ascend to get to the bubbul gem! Hope you like it!
Thanks!
A tip for breaking rocks in Gerudo: If you've gotten the Sage of Fire questline done, the ability it unlocks can be used to tunnel through rock like that easily.
A fun and inexpensive means I use for breaking rocks. Take a stake, stick a cannon on it, and boom. You’ve got an easily moveable mining canon that won’t send itself Flying if it hits something too close to itself
I never thought of that!
@@luigivids9598bro what did you think it was for?
@@ajcon3874 attacking enemys??? As used in the quest line
Cannon... yunobo dog water
Now that I've beaten the game as my first playthrough, I feel 100% safe to watch these videos without any fear and to know more going into another playthrough.
Hi Austin, I just found out through research that the helms actually increases the auto-attack damage of the sages when worn similar to the damage boost you get from upgrading them with sage wills. It actually stacks with those upgrades. Also with mineru, the same buffs can be achieved with wearing the zonaite helm.
he should pin this
I am simultaneously three things. An owner of all four Champions Amiibo, happy that they are in the base game for people who aren’t, and not going to do anything with the helmets… Great guide as always Austin!
The helmets save you 3,000 rupees instead of buying the snowquill headress and the other headpiece from goron city.
Well you still gotta buy them if u actually want all the armor
Yunobo's ability is very useful for clearing rocks without breaking weapons.
So is Rijus, when breaking lots of rocks I usually switch back and forth between them
@@xMarvel-gq6vd But with Riju's you waste bow durability and arrows
@@Miguel-bd6xq if you farm lynels each blood moon, a full inventory of savage lynel bows and 999 arrows is hard to avoid
@@narbington So the best way to get bows and arrows is torturing Lynels?
The other two sages are actually the best for rocks
I just saw these in your inventory in the Thunder Helm video and wondered where to get them. Amazing work sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. 👍🏾
You were such a help in BoTW. I knew you’d be my go-to source now.
Bro is on the TOTK GRIND!keep it up dude!
Hes legit one of the best youtubers i know of for information videos. Breaking it down so anyone can understand it.
The flow of all these videos is amazing. Its very impressive how quickly you are rolling them out.
I love that when you wear the helm it has a physical affect on the sages post dungeon.
Your guides are always so much easier to follow than anyone else's, thank you for doing so much hard work on these games!
Makes me almost hope that you'll make a guide on horse colors for TOTK, even though you didn't for BOTW. I only want to see that because I love the horse mechanics in the game and I noticed that a new color pattern has been added (it's very missable until a particular quest pops up in Lookout Landing).
I just want someone to post a visual guide on all the possible color and pattern combinations for wild horses in the game, like IGN did for BOTW.
Special horses are nice and all, but none of them really fit my aesthetic like some of the wild horses in the game.
I know this is an absolutely awful idea and would be so tedious to collect data on, but it would be really helpful to know what choices we have for wild horses.
I **love** the spotted pattern! The fact that you can upgrade all of the horse's stats to max is also super awesome! I have a gentle pink spotted horse that I've upgraded all the way from 2/2/2/2 to 5/5/5/5 and I'm super attached to it
@@gribberoni a real one for that
@@gribberoni I'm still trying to get the horse i want in a certain color, mane color, and hoof fur pattern, but I'm glad you made your horse perfect.
Just passing by to say that I'm still waiting for my Zelda to arrive (when you buy something from the other side of the world it takes a while to arrive), but I'm super excited to watch all these videos poping up on my notifications when I finally had the chance to play the game. Keep up the good work bro!
We love you Austin. Thanks for posting another great vid so quickly
When it comes to destroying rocks, the Goron campions sage power blows up any colored rocks with one shot, so you never need to waste weapon durability at all
If you guys are wondering why there's basically 0 sheikah tech:
It's probably because they didn't want Ganon to posses all the tech again so they destroyed most of them. Yes, even our beloved motor bike :(((
Don’t get why people say this, there are centuries between most calamity’s, it would be stupid to destroy all that valuable sheik tech. The real reason it’s gone is because it was cannibalised into the new towers, most of the sheik stuff probably disappeared after the calamity was over since that’s it’s purpose. It wouldn’t be far fetched to say that tons of sheika stuff was sacrificed to make the sky view towers
@@JimmyJohnson-fv3mq considering the monumental task of rebuilding hyrule and ensuring her people are stable, it seems like an even more colossal task to set about trying to dismantle the divine beasts and guardians considering the limited resources of the kingdom. And the shrines? How do they destroy a shrine entrance since it seems to be made of very durable material?
I know how Ganon can control the tech but what's a bike going to do?
I think they dismantled sheika technology to make Purah pad and the now skyview towers
@@JimmyJohnson-fv3mq I agree with this because you've raised a very good point, but I don't think that all sky view towers used as much sheika tech as all the tech we see in BOTW.
I appreciate this video,
I found it helpful.
Thank you AustinJohn. 💚
I always loved how the Rudania helm looked in BotW and I really wanted it but I didn’t have the Daruk amiibo so all the helms being available without amiibo is so nice
Having ALL of the amiibo stuff in the normal game when you don’t have the actual amiibo is awesome
They knew people would complain and they knew amiibo was dead so they done this
I just had the Rivoli Champion Amibo, for the Vah Meadow helm Which really saved me having a little extra cold resistance early.
Its good to have a guide for these, as they are quite hidden. And its great that they tie into the story with the sages, rather than just being trinkets left over from breath of the wild.
Hey man, I absolutely appreciate you smd the work you put in your content. You are on top of it and I'm glad you seem to enjoy what you do. I was hoping you could do a most efficient house build for Tarrey town? I'm having trouble getting it together 😅 thank you man!
Thanks for all the guids your upload schedule is insane
I was wondering about these thanks for posting a video right when I wonder where something is
Really love those videos from you, they help me much! When you're through all clothes, can we maybe get a video for all fabrics?😊
Dude I love your videos so much they’ve help me so many times
I’m so happy these helms are available in the base game I am going to go find them all
Thank you so much for these guides you're awesome!
The commitment to the grind is insane keep it up my man, and can we get a video on the anti gloom armour, it would be super useful
His video covering the bargainers in the depths goes over that, I don’t know if it covers the upgrades but definitely covers the armor
It’s honestly not that great. Its okay at best Id say. You be better off with Sundelion food to restore corrupted hearts, and good armor like Soldiers armor or Attack + armor in my opinion. I’ve maxed all of then and not impressed with Gloom one
Your videos are always so helpful thanks!
Another great guide video! I never would have solved this game's puzzles on my own. Thanks!
Thank you for all the info. I have most of the armors I wanted in my totk run
YES! That's what I was thinking! The divine beasts were named after the sages!
They were named after OOT and WW sages
Ruto, darunia, nabooru and medli
Not gonna lie, i do miss Ancient Guardian's weapon and armor 😢
great video as always!
Thank you so much for this Austin
Thank you for the tip Austin John plays
Super helpful. Thank you
13:01
Yes I have all 4 amiibo figures
Yes I’m happy that they’re available without amiibo for everyone else
Yes I’m never gonna use the helmets
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the video
Thank you so much, sir you have saved me a lot of time and effort and mine boggling wondering where is this stuff is
This man can answer any question i ask and be on point woth no confusion
Dear Austin John:
What if you made a totk myth buster video. You take questions abt the game from comments or other social media and make videos busting the “myths”. Just an idea and I have one. What happens if you go back to Robbie’s tower where the yiga are wearing the full yiga set. Or any hideout for that matter.
The Gerudo one stumped me so bad thanks for doing this
Hey Austin, thanks for responding to my suggestion a while back. DO you have a guide on how to get the miner armor? that and the sand temple would be very nice, (sorry I'm asking this and the other things outta you, but this game is HUGE!) Thanks!
I got the game 2 days ago and just left the tutorial, time to watch these videos for my playthrough
I'll be getting them thanks to this video 😁
Great guide!
❤thabks alot ...you are awesooooooome 👍👍👍
I missed the cave at zoras domain... And two shrines in tabanta... Thanks Austin.
Thanks Austin
I love the divine beast puzzles, they make me feel so smart
Thank you dude, i thought for the vah medoh mask you had to actually go to all of the springs and do something so I tried to go to the one tulin tells you about and was so confused.
Can i just say, i was a CoD man before Breath of the wild and ever since you have been a saviour of my patience 😂 god bless you man! I might have played BoTW then ToTk but i always rely on WWAPD what would Ausin Plays Do? 😂😂😂
Thanks for making the video, I was missing one. I want to own them all, but upgrades are too pricey for these, but still cool to have.
I already have the helms. I’m just here to support my boi 😎💛
Thank You
Never had these in breath of the wild so I'm super Stoked to be able to get then here in this game. 100% will be maxing them out. Can't use them if you don't upgrade them.
hey Austin is it possible for you to make a video of all the schema stones and yiga schematics, some of them are really useful and it will be a nice follow up to your previous autobuild video
I JUST got the lightning helm last night out of pure coincidence. I was quite literally about to leave after braking rocks for 20 min not knowing where I was going but powered through and I'm so glad I did lmao
I recently found the fire one out of the blue looking for the octos for the upgrade for my weapons. I found the cave and just went for it. I did not know it would of been a Divine Helm. I was basically shocked. I wasn't even trying to look for it. But now gotta find the others and use this vid for me to get them all.
Thanks!
I did find Yunobo, Riju, and Mineru VERY helpful in Vah Naboris cave
Small tip for anyone scoping the Vah Meadow Divine Helm out ahead of time: You don't actually have to fire bomb arrows at the rocks (if like me you run out of bombs a lot and would prefer to hoard the free ones. I tend to prefer getting in up close when dealing with anything, so arrows are typically not my first choice to solve puzzles anyway.)
There is an extremely narrow ledge in front of each rock pile where you can stand to break up the rocks with any rock-breaking melee weapon.
Just be careful because roughly half of these hollows each contain those two ice keese which will dive at you as soon as you break up the rocks. Getting frozen by the keese and then falling can easily kill you if you fall onto the stairs before the water has risen over them.
-I stumbled onto this helm randomly while exploring/ procrastinating story quests, didn't know anything about it. This video would have been perfect to have seen in advance, I may refer to it for the other helms when I go after those.
thank you
Done, thanks for sharing :p
I noticed when you put on the vah medoh mask, tulin puts on the wind sage mask, and I think that's really cool!
That works for every sage
Ty man
i found the Vah Rudania on accident just by exploring. it was nice because i had just bought the flame block armor set from Goron city but didnt have enough for the other pieces. so i stumbled upon the divine helm randomly and then i got full flame guard. pretty damn fortunate
Hey @Austin is possible for a gloom Hand location guide?
In the Gerudo underground ruins, when clearing out the rubble I would recommend using a two handed weapon that has good durability with a rock attached to it so you can spin attack through the rocks.
Yeah. That, or load up on bomb flowers and arrows, and use a multi-shot bow if possible to make it significantly easier (preferably a Lynel bow).
@@knyte8706 also rijus thunder works too
I just used a Zonai cannon
Actually it has been confirmed that after the calamity’s defeat all sheikha tech just went underground so mabye that eagle is vah medoh and maybe one of those springs is vah rudania not sure about the other two
I CANT KEEP UP WITH THIS MAN!!!!
I only have the Mipha and Daruk amiibos, so I’m hype they these are in the base game. I wore the Vah Ruta Helm a lot in Breath of the Wild.
damn w video!1 thanks austin
I had gotten them from the amiibo but still a cool video might find them myself and sell them
I have all 4 but glad there's a path to them for others.
I got the Vah Medoh from a side quest before watching this video, great tips Austin John! But… wearing these masks recharges the Sage’s faster or am I imagining it?
I found that spot in the Gerudo desert just last night and thought it was too small to be the entrance to anything. I should have just tried to break it instead of moving on. Thankfully I’ve now watched this and realized my mistake!
Can you do a video on all the boss mobs? Lynels, hinox, molduga, gleeok, etc…
Hey Austin! FYI there are quests related to getting these helmets.
Just to add, ive got the goron one and i haven't played the main quest part yet so i think you can find them any time.
tysm
You should do a video on all the unique weapons from each faction in game like Miphia spear or revaili bow etc
Yo Austin can you please do a guide on how to defeat the gleeocks love the content btw
Have them now probably won’t use them lol good vid
too lazy to open up my champion amiibos so thanks for the easy to follow vid
Semi Spoiler:
If you are wearing the Zonaite Helm, like all the other sages, Mineru's Construct will have the orange feathery like parts of the helm on the head of the construct.
while i do think it’s possible the divine beasts could’ve been named after rauru’s sages, i’m not sure i love what it implies about the timeline as a whole. the divine beasts’ names from an irl perspective were slight twists on those of incredibly important sages from past zelda games, so up until totk it was reasonable to assume that those figures were who the beasts were named after, but with this revelation it feels like every game before botw is getting retcon’d out of existence. combining this with the fact that totk’s de facto light sage inexplicably shares a name with oot’s truly gives the impression that they’re taking some inspiration from past games while wholly rewriting hyrule’s canon history, which makes me really uncomfy given how rich and deep a history hyrule had been given in the 30 years between the making of the original legend of zelda and that of botw. hoping it gets explained in dlc or interviews or something but for now it all just don’t sit right w me
think abt it this way: in totk we see a lot events which closely parallel those of ocarina of time, ganondorf, a gerudo king, is born, swears fealty to the king of the newly formed kingdom of hyrule, then betrays said king by stealing a relic of great power and transforming into a demon, then fights the seven sages. even the fact that there was a sage of time at all matches oot, the only other zelda game which features a sage of time. given all this (and the fact that the zelda series is no stranger to timeline splits and parallel worlds), i think its pretty likely that the events of totk backstory run parallel to the events of oot, in a seperate timeline, meaning that the sages in totk are actually the same people as the sages in oot just parallel versions of them, keeping the sage name inspirations for the divine beasts while still respecting the lore of earlier zelda games
the Zelda timeline has always been a mess tbh because it was never intended to be one consecutive story anyway. Aside from a few nods here and there.
I always figured that BOTW and TOTK take place so far in the future that all three timelines have happened at one point or another. Hyrule is incredibly old. 10000 years ago, the Shiekah fought Calamity Ganon. Before even then, Raruu and the Sages fought Ganondorf. I'm thinking before the Zonai, (who I think are spirits from past ages,) came from the sky, Hyrule was destroyed by some great catastrophe even beyond the likes of Calamity Ganon, like a great flood. This would make the current Hyrule the second Hyrule. I think the gods basically hard reset the world, and the Depths are where the ancient objects of the previous world are thrown, out of sight and mind.
You're the first result on Google
Hi, are you gonna do a video on the sand temple?
Tulin is the GOAT them head arrows come in clutch 🔥 especially when I was fighting in the Coliseum so it's all the smoke behind lil homie 🔥😂 I got majors mask thanks to him 😢
Hey man, great work. Was wondering if you could do a guide for finding the dragons?Specifically, the light dragon after already completing the quest that tells you where it is.
The Light Dragon basically flies in a square around the Hyrule border. You can find them by waiting around the edges of the map on a Sky Island for a while.
@@pumpkin7446 Thankies
Can you make a vid on what the 4 new sage abilities are?
If you have the fifth sage mineru she also has a little effect but thats with the zonalite helm
There is a quest for the rudania helm its given by yunobo after the regional phenomena involving him. Right in front of the armor shop
I collect these but I never really use them except for the heat resistant one before I buy the helmet for the full set to get fire guard. They're more decorative in my inventory. lol
I like the pieces. Glad we can get them without amiibo. I will be collecting them, but probably not using them 😂
Do you think there's a hyrule helm horse and where it might be ? Or yeah what happened to divine beasts thanks for vids and actually talking us thru appreciate it
Plz go over the Zora quest and the Zora Armor. You keep mentioning that you can use to get to a lot of the sky islands to it but would love a guide on them
I fully upgraded the naboris helm because it’s my fav armor piece
SPOILERS FOR LATE GAME AFTER REGIONAL PHENOMENA
just like how the other sages have cosmetic updates while you wear their respective divine helm, mineru's construct also receives a minor cosmetic change when you put on the zonaite helm
Just a tip for the gerduo divine helm, the rocks can be easily broken with yunobo’s flaming ball of fire ability
