I think Austin has psychic powers as always knows what we need. I am having a total blast playing this game. Spent the whole afternoon exploring some tunnels and was so much fun. They have really spiced things up in TotK. Thanks again Austin for the great video.

Also for fighting aerocudas, if you are high enough in the sky, possibly high enough to be on a sky island and you kill one while falling the eyes and wings will be put in your inventory instead of falling to nothing

I've been exploring so much, I accidentally stumbled upon the chestpiece for this armor last night completely randomly. Now I'm desperate to find the other pieces, so this is PERFECT.

The mystic armour is probably best with the dupe glitch
I’d be willing to bet if you are in Hebra, Eldin, or Gerudo when temperatures are harsh that there are going to be better armors to use.
@@verycleverusername8159 not really? You can always open up your paraglider when falling from a high place and even when you run out of stamina they still let you open it once for half a second just so you can avoid fatal damage. You would have to mess up twice in very quick succession (i.e. run out of stamina and then open the paraglider once again before you reach a height that you could survive a fall from) to even need the fall damage negation.
I’ll give it that it’s hilarious to see Link land from 2000m high and then land like he just jumped from 50cm

I think you mean "instrumental", not "detrimental". Nbd, was just confused for a bit.
i won't be covering that quite yet. i was saddened to learn that it just increases combat damage and does not enhance their ability or shorten cooldown. If you want to hunt them, look for Minibosses in the sky

This is probably my favorite armor set in TOTK. It's incredibly useful, and the mini games for unlocking the pieces are fun. It would have been cool to get a 4th course that's even longer, going all the way down into the depths.
A good farming technique for the aerocuda eyes is to stay in the air. At least in the sky, if you're still airborne when they die, you automatically get the drops instead of having to find where they landed. Also the long trek to the Wind Dungeon has a decent few to easily grab.
Thanks so much for this one, John. I had the Glide Shirt and no clue how to get the other pieces of armor. Knowing about the upgrade bonus is a huge benefit!
I love how your videos cut right to the useful/practical information, and forgo the fluff that most other CZcamsrs use to pad the duration of their videos.

Hi Austin, I have been absolutely loving all your TotK videos. I had a future video suggestion for you if you had time to add it in to your already crazy output:
I would love a list of all the best utility pieces of gear you like having on hand such as:
-2-handed axe for tree chopping/box destroying
-2-handed blunt weapon for ore mining/box destroying
-elemental weapon of each type
-non-metal weapon/bow/shields
-rocket shield
-mine cart shield
-various utility fusions (ex. keese eyes and wings, bomb flowers, elemental chu chu jelly, etc)
I hate going out to adventure and find a problem that I do not have a great solution for. Making sure I always have the right tool for the occasion would feel great and make me confident to take anything on.
Just started yesterday, this is gonna be my favourite gear, I love exploring and I'm so clumsy so this is PERFECT thanks Austin!
This set is so cool looking and I’ve been loving the extra speed while falling. I didn’t even know it could get no fall damage so i will definitely upgrade it. Probably my favorite new set in the game.

Anyone else misunderstand that you have to upgrade the armor to get the Impact Proof Bonus like me? I didnt even check, just took Austin at his word and leaped off the edge with the vanilla set on. I pikachu surprised face when I hit the ground and it drained all my hearts 😂

Getting this set is the first thing I did . I’m playing through the game slowly , only beat the wind temple so far . But I have this set fully upgraded and love it
@@NoviceEliteExactly. Like today was my first free day to really just play the game, I’ve been working/in class the rest of the week, and I mainly just explored and did things as I got to them. Went from ~30 to ~50 completed shrines with like 20 more marked on my map I’ve spotted from flying around. Completed my second regional quest, and got the master sword again. But it didn’t feel like I was rushing it cause it was all while just exploring having fun for the most part
Can you do this without completing the wind temple?

It's counterintuitive, but I got the Glide chestpiece first before even going to the Rito, and I feel it really helped with reaching the trampoline ships and laser fields in the dungeon

The spirit sage robot also doesn’t have fall damage. You can’t equip it in mid-air of course, but it’s a pretty nifty substitute if you don’t have these armor pieces yet.

Greetings from the BIG SKY. This caught my interest quickly after watching you fall from the sky islands.
going to the bottom to fast travel up top is far easier, but do note that if you happen to go to the top first and do the run by activating the ring, the construct at the bottom skips the trial run and goes straight to the qualification. This is actually how I got the chest piece, I didn't even know there was anything at the bottom at first.

Lol just got all 3 pieces of armor and now trying to get it to level 2! This is a great guide Austin tysm :).
Just upgraded it to level 2 and omg it's worth it. You can't take any fall damage if you don't pull out your Paraglider before touching the ground!

That was my first complete set! I always use it when dropping in a chasm to not worry about fall damage 😂
will you be doing the next regional phenomena soon, I watched the wind temple one and im guessing you will be going to goron city one because of what you said at the end of the video. I went for zora's domain in the mean time and did that one.
