( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Sony sounds like its a speaker from a studio, clean and atmospheric, while JBL is a party speaker, powerful and sharp... both are magnificent in their ways, my preference is Sony because i listen techno so the clean sound is most important
They both sound pretty close on sound clarity but in my opinion, I liked the highs and miss better on the jbl.
I love techno as well, I would think that JBL would put it out better than the Sony though, I know it depends on preferences but for that music...oh hell, I'd love to listen to it cranked up on either speaker LOL. I love both brands, I would have to hear it in person to truly decide (I did use headphones while listening), also how strong is the bass/punch when turned up louder, especially with low end bass, that makes a big difference for me...the power, if it starts to clap out, not for me. Even if it isn't as loud as long as it is a nice clean punch, I'm ok with that.
No, IMO most of Sony's portable speakers miss a ton of the deep bass, i hoped they would get closer to JBL's with this generation, i really did.. but unfortunately they didn't
otherwise they're kinda nice but they miss the low end extension
like i've compared my Onyx Studio 5 and Boombox 2 to the SRS-XB43 and really missed the deep bass, it's Sony's weak spot
it doesn't seem like they've improved it at all with this generation
if you think studio speakers don't play deep(er) bass clearly you haven't heard the Presonus Sceptre S8's, Dynaudio BM15's etc
with a sub they're even more insane while remaining flat and controlled
but yeah Sony's speakers still lack a lot
i'd also hope to see them switch to dome tweeters instead of crappy paper cone tweeters one day
@@derekjolly9815 Then the JBL defo is better, i wish they would make a larger and more powerful portable speaker under the Harman Kardon brand
the Onyx Studio 5 & 6 don't sound to much different compared to the Boombox 2 except its cleaner and more controlled
the Boombox 2 also sounds good imo except it has a kinda V shaped EQ on the mids, still much less worse than older JBL portable speakers IMO
You almost right.
Sony is good speaker.
JBL is garbage.
Like a fucking sound quality is so fucking blended you have to be madochist to like that.
If you like "party sound" which means you like lower quality with higher but more shotty bass then here you go
I thought the JBL sounded more clear and delineated, not as muffled as the Sony, with a more exciting presentation.
JbL's sounds signature is LIT 💥 THE BASS IS ON 🔥🔥
Jbls great bass
JBL WINS ON SOUND IN MY OPINION
Agreed
More bass I recon and Sony sounds alr but not enough bass
5:35: Mega Bass is an old Sony typical and for a long time very common description for extra bass. Nice to see it again
Shame its actually not that mega at all
Wow i've been waiting for your new videos and now here it its 😊
The top rear tweeter is meant to bounce sound off a wall. Put them both in a corner to test them. It'll sound amazing.
45 minutes. Man love your work and one of the best channels that’s still left
Vocals Sounds more clean on Sony , But the low end bass is really good on JBL.

Great review mate, thank you ❤
Test my Sony this past weekend, it’s sooooo clean and balanced. Plenty of power, clarity and range…I’m sure the JLB sounds great as well
jbl have lows sony nop
Both these legend Brands, SONY and JBL have their own characteristics. Not to mention this review..I own SONY and JBL tower speaker. I feel, SONY focus on balancing sound quality and while JBL focus on their deep bass. If I wanna listen to sound quality songs, I use SONY, while for song with deep bass, I use JBL. I love them both. None of them is better than other, Just see what preference of your audio listening to choose the right speaker.
true
Finally somebody real!
bose🙄
Rightly said.
How they react when you playing "Epic - quintino" ...
Thanks for the review. The Sony do tend to have richer mid bass than the JBL but the JBL lower bass is boosted.
Thank you for your review!
We love your speaker reviews 👍❤
As far as I can observe, the Sony sounds like a full range P.A. speaker, while the JBL sounds like a DJ's system with a U-shaped EQ.
Yea both are awesome... But being a hardcore fan of SONY, my ❤️ for sony is stagnant. From my childhood to now, Sony has never disappointed me in giving its output.
Me too, I always liked Sony. Both brands are great
So then your love for Sony is NOT stagnant.
@@sylvieMori she didn't use the word properly, and I'm guessing you don't know what it means either?

Lol same here... As much as JBLs sounds good. I just don't want to leave SONY😭😭🤗 I HAVE SO MUCH FAITH FOR SONY.

2nd Video I Checked Out And The JBL Is Kicking AZz. Great Video My Brother Keep Up The Good Work.
JBL PARTYBOX310
*Deeper bass
*High vocal
SONY SRS XP700
*Wider soundstaging
The Sub-Bass in the Nbhd - Like Whoa song says it all, that shows that how good the JBL Partybox 310 is!🔥
Great video bud, keep it up!
Your reviews are very appreciate 🙏
I am telling u man, u wont regret buying Sony, I had this jbl, now I have this Sony, I LOVE IT, much much better
I just bought the Sony but from the sounds of the JBL I’m regretting the purchase?
@@leighmillichip1796 the jbl is on another level! Its insane🔥
In my opinion JBL has always sounded more natural than Sony. Sony always has a sound that kind of sounds like it has a blanket over it or something. Clarity is definitely more refined for JBL. The bass is also just more deep and really natural. But things like this are completely on opinion. People have preferences and you can't say anything against them.
the sony sounds more clear, trust me. But the JBL sounds better, the bass is louder and lsster longer if you know what I mean. On the sony the bass will turn on and off instantly and the jbl will hold it, this makes a huge difference. This also makes the jbl sound louder. jbl for the win, it not only looks better but also sounds better.
Yeah they are both great sounding speakers. It just all depends on your taste in music and audio. Everyone has opinions on this type of thing
@@nope6786 the Sony just hits the higher mid and high bass better than sub bass unlike the jbl which does a much better job for the lows
Super judgement...
What jbl deep bass? Those things dont even hit below 40hz at decent volume not even the 1000 😂
An excellent review!
Nice review bro.Very informative...
Very nice video, Willington! Plz be aware that where I live (Europe) the JBL costs about 180 bucks more than the Sony 700, which you can get for 350 Euro. The comparison is therefore a bit invalid, the Sony 700 should be compared to the similarly prices JBL 110 (330 Euro).
Anyways, even when compared to one another - despite the price difference - I like the the Sony better regarding signal fidelity, frequency response, low distortion, impulse fidelity, balance, instrument separation, localization of the signals, stereo imaging, etc.
The JBL is all pushed mids and bass frequencies. With this comes high distortion in those frequency areas. I find that very fatiguing. Yes, it‘s very „in your face“ and „party-able“, but this has nithing to do with sound quality.
With the Sony you can counteract the V shape and EQ the mids in to bring vocals etc. more to the front. After that the Sony will play any music style just beautifully… jazz, pop, rock, R&B, you name it. Sounds all great on the XP700. All that won‘t sound as good on the JBL which is more or less a one trick pony (party sound in your face no matter the cost).
Compared to the JBL Partybox 110 the Sony XP700 is even clearer the winner, it‘s simply better in every aspect. Plus has better battery life. Plus EQ.
The JBL has a more forward sounding midrange, but the upper midrange could get a bit fatiguing after a while. Where as the Sony has a more V shaped sound signature with a more noticeable roll off in the high frequencies. Both speakers could benefit with additional midrange and treble controls.
Actually, the midrange of the 310 is already recessed compared to the 300, and I actually prefer the way the 300 sounds. It's much clearer. But the 310 has more bass, and I like bass more. Also, with the JBL, you can access a 3-band EQ in the app, so if you want to turn down the midrange, you can do that.
lets go new vid im fitna enjoy this
Your reviews are great. And your pronounced very clear.
I have the jbl party box 310 for awhile and if anyone looking at this comment yes I agree this speaker is such a steal for its price with all its ability’s such as bass modes 1 and 2 bass mode one being rich low bass and mode 2 for higher rich bass and preferred on ur music the bass modes will make ur listening experience amazing also it shakes my walls and knocks pictures off 😳 plenty loud anuff
is it good for a party with 40 people
Is it loud outdoor?
I was prepared to say that unfortunately the time has come when JBL will be dethroned in terms of sound and quality of materials, but I'm glad I was wrong. JBL wins the battle with Sony this time as well.
JBL is and will remain my favorite brand, thanks for the video!
Hello, what do you think between the Jbl Partybox 310 VS Pioneer Club 7 in terms of construction materials and sound quality?
A greeting!!
@@joseantoniogarciahernandez4808 be carreful, pioneer club 7 has no battery, sounds good, good trebels and mids, but the Jbl PB 310 has more deep bass. I recomand JBL PB 310.

Bass boost off and mega bass off: Sony
Bass boost on and mega bass on: JBL
But I’m pretty sure that the experience would be different when you test it in person
WOW THE JBL BASS is very deep
Did you play some uncompressed (FLAC) files via LDAC on the Sony once? My Bandcamp library sounds lit af on the smaller brother of the XP700 (the XP500).
what do you do with your speakers after a review?
do you sell them or?
with my AirPods I see a huge different between the two personaly I think the Sony is more clear and more deep thank you for the test !
now I have to test in peson !
Bass are pretty good on both
More medium on Sony but more high freq on JBL.
2 good speakers by the way....good improvement Sony !
Good rewiew!!
Is it possible to use a wireless neckband microphone directly or indirectly using some adaptor or dongle to this speaker for singing karaoke?
Nice video! By the way, have you seen the new JBL Partybox 110?
No!
sony's sound is so fullfiling
but you should play it about 90% volume because
sony is monstrous in bass at high volume always
and jbl is just opposite of it ( it shows its bass richness at 50 % and further its just normal)
Good job 👍
This both ... Sound amaizing ❤️
Of curse the partybox 310 has deeper bass, not only you can hear it but you can feel it on you headphones too, and yeah Sony did it's best but I'll stay my two jbl's partybox 310 I have
MAN! That JBL is pumping that lower end!🔥 but SONY great Job improving the sounds of their big speaker line up. Can't wait for the outdoor test and for the XP 500!
Excellent Speaker comparison..
I like your presentation, mentioning RMS would be very helpful.
JBL sounds mooore natural. For that DIFFERENCE I'll never pay for that Sony. The bass its just an option when I need good sound. So, first we need natural sound and after that.....the bass. Always in my mind will win "the natural" sound.
Sony is great in terms of design and twitters make difference. I can't wait to get my hands on it, I should get this speaker next week.
Thank you for your video :)

Great reviews, and love your excitement! Have you any thoughts on the SAMSUNG sound towers? I have JBL 100 but considering SAMSUNG ST50B...
A review would be great.
Nice review, thanks! I’m looking for a speaker to use mostly indoors in quite a small room for karaoke. I’m choosing something among jbl pb110, sony srs xp500, jbl on the go, sony mch v13… would be great if possible to connect a mic+ guitar at the same time. The voice quality is essential for me. Could you please recommend anything?
I love my pb310 the bass is just 🤤
Bass is dope👌👌
Well that JBL is more pronounced and rich and also clear in mids more deep and cleaner bass and vocals in JBL, Well I would say Sony is making there
Excelent brother
How good are the vocals for bands, singers, or singing?
for jbl, the bass seems better, but I like Sony for the clear sound and the bass that Sony gives me enough for mixed use, I think Sony is better
JBL is way better lmfao
No. The JBL wins.
Generally you buy big speakers for added bass
12:31 smooth bass
i love your studio setup,
Thank you🙏🏽
Cool dude you doing good
Sound balance, clarity & separation are far better in Sony than that in Jbl.
Jbl's sound signature is kind of jumbled & instrumental sounds are not separated enough.
If both speakers are plugged in, the sound test will be justified as Sony tends to optimise its battery life rather than bass & overall loudness while being unplugged.
Jbl is strong in case of bass only. But Jbl has 2 levels for bass boosting whereas Sony has megabass & sony music centre app for bass boosting.
So, in maximum sections including price, Sony beats jbl easily.
Jbl is only better than Sony for portability only.
I hope Bass of Sony will equal if it's plugged in, megabass is turned on & bass is increased through Sony app.
I think the Sony bass signature like UE Hyperboom, missing low bass humming
Sonys seems to be better from what i'm hearing, but your right about the JBL base depth(almost too much tho), so i think i would go with Sonys cleaner sound overall...would've loved to hear Sonys speaker at about 70-80% volume, i bet we would hear a huge difference. Good Job Sir. 👍
Bass depth*
How many watts is the sp700?? Any difference plugged in or not???
I've always been a Sony guy but the blanket over the speaker sound is plaguing their potential, gotta give this to JBL 😔
It looks like SONY has killed it this year with their speakers 🔥🔥🔥
Possibly, I definitely love The design language
@@DLXWillington of course full on testing and comparisons are needed. But the fact that they also included battery care, fast charge and kareoke features are already big plus points in my book.
So beautiful speaker ❤️
Great video 👍 Sir. I will go for the JBL the sound amazing.
The JBL takes it hands down. The Sony is way too boomy. The JBL has cleaner, deeper bass.
Haha. Clean deep bass. And disco Lights
Agreed the sound of the JBL'S bass is pretty accurate to the original bass punch of the music
Did anyone tested JBL in real life ... Is it enough , should I go for it if I buy for hardstyle , progressive house ..
@@alisaangels2646 nope get sony X models its better

each brand has brought up their own unique style.
The SONY in my opinion in this video at 40% volume has a bit more clarity and brilliance to its sound compared to JBL. they are using their own xbass sound signature thats why in lower bass, its not gonna compete well with JBL
JBL has some deep bass I love, an easy trolly handle to carry the speaker around, speaker tripod feature. Its sad that they removed the 3rd tweeter like on the PB300.
We'll see soon how they perform on higher volume outdoors on Willington's next video
Picked mine up on Prime day. Looks good and has sounded great everywhere I have placed it. It won't be the loudest speaker out there, but excellent value at this price point. I put it in my living room and have had it up to 65% and was loud without being too loud. We could still converse and enjoy the music.
How good of a deal was prime day? Reasonim asking its right around corner
I think the JBL Party Box sounds better and slightly brighter. The bass sounded more punchy. I prefer the JBL Party Box 310. Thank you for making the comparison cause now I know which one I want to buy.
Finally someone actually has the XP700 & not just using pictures & specs. Just ordered this speaker last night
Sería bueno que el vídeo tendría subtítulos
EN ESPAÑOL!!!!
It would be nice to illustrate graphically the frequency roll off and natural reference setting as in flat frequency response. Not everybody that buys a boom box buy it for banging sounds. A boom box of the past Sharp GF-777 had all the banging ability but was lowsey on flat frequency response. Where as my Aiwa TPR-990 sounded superb .!
An all round performer is what would be the greater attraction with sophisticated amplification behind the speaker. Not just to Bang the daylights out of the bigger cone and take it as it’s comes at the top end.
This guy is brilliant
A sony tem um som maravilhoso, uma quantidade impecável e imbatível. Sony é sony a top.
Não
Sony has done a good job of improving the vocal clarity. Now the jbl 310 sounds muffled. And I think its not impossible that sony will improve bass performance in the future to make it on par with jbl or even better! Whatever people say but sony is always my number 1 favourite
I think it's the actual opposite of that. The sony sounds really muffled compared to the partybox 310. It's such a relief when the jbl starts playing after the sony
The jbl not muffled but too sharp. Can make ear fatigue
Nice, can't Wait to hear them at 100%. Maybe Sony is louder due to higer rolloff in bass. Sony xb90 was a crappy speaker but it could play very loud not using power playing deep bass. Hopefully there is a eq on this new Sony also, so looks promising 🙂👍🏻
The JBL Partybox 310 sounds better to me. You just helped me settle on one. Thanks 🙏
See, the Sony is good, but the partyboxes play true sounds, like sounds real subwoofers would make, clean and not mudded down bass.
How much does the extreme 3 cost there. So expensive in my country cant afford it 😔
It's pretty much mud regardless
The thing is, it's got bass, but it's more boomy and muddy than anything close to a good sounding sub, but some people like that better. The Sony on the other hand has no sub bass even on boost but sound cleaner for the higher bass it can play.
JBL for the win. I have two party box 300’s. When they are paired together … one word. Awesome. 🔥
Sony 💪💪💪💪👍👍👍
party box is sony best
The question is, which one of these has mic and guitar inputs WITH configurable vocal effects for the mic AT LEAST?
jbl come in clean I bought both as well and traded in the sony over time for another jbl party box 500 so they can pair together its nuts
I like Sony sound signature here (It sounds balanced for a party speaker)...both are good buy.
Big upgrade over the old xb90, Sony is heading in the right direction with last year and this years speakers in my opinion
The gtk xb90 goes louder than the xp 700
goddamn this thing is huge. I was looking for something a little bigger than a handheld bluetooth speaker for the backyard. This could work in a medium sized restaurant
I currently own a Sony XP700 and I'd like to share my opinion, which might be helpful for potential buyers. Even though the speaker offers impressive sound quality and solid construction, I unfortunately experienced an issue with background noise that significantly diminished my overall satisfaction with the product. This was particularly true for the tweeters and when a microphone was connected. I contacted Sony's service center hoping for a quick repair or replacement, but the response I received was astonishing - I was informed that such noise was normal for this model. The service process turned out to be more complicated and time-consuming than expected, and my experience with the service wasn't as positive as I had hoped. For anyone considering the purchase of the XP700, I would advise thoroughly checking other users' reviews and making sure that potential technical issues and after-sales service won't be a problem for you. Despite these challenges, the speaker has its strengths, but it's important to be aware of possible inconveniences.
JBL is better in opinion.
I also love the JBL Party Box 100 ❤️
I have both a set of 310s and a 100. 310s are amazing, but the 100 is my pool speaker, and love how good it sounds for a great price point. Cant go wrong with either.
Sony should've try to make their speakers response to lower frequencies like 35hz cuz 35hz is deep bass and for me the sony looks better than the jbl it looks more lighter to bring on-the-go than the jbl
Well i have the xb41 and it goes down to 20hz
@@bassboostedmusictv7989 Lmao are you sure🤣
@@speakerguy9468 ye because i tested it with my frequency generation
@@bassboostedmusictv7989 Seeing the lights flashing and the speaker making noises during low frequency doesn’t mean it goes down to 20hz😂the XB41 only can go as low as 60hz (the range you can hear the bass), it’s not a woofer or subwoofer speaker like the JBL Boombox 2, so it’s impossible to go as low as 20hz (even my big old Sony Super Woofer speakers can’t even reach 20hz then how could your small XB41 reach 20hz lol) don’t get fooled by the user manual, even my XB01’s user manual also rated as low as 20hz but below 100hz the speaker already barely move

Can this use directly with electricity power? And how many years build in rechargeable battery can be used? Any replacement batteries are available? Please advise.
Sony's vocal is more clearer and the bass is nice too in my ear, it doesn't hurt when I listen in my jbl earphone
But
JBL on the other hand is not good when listening in low volume it sounds muffled the bass is normal but when you turn on the bass effect it's shows more aggressive than Sony's mega bass...
Verdict I like the JBL aggressive bass than Sony's. The Sony should try to level up mode to make even against JBL, be aggressive 😸
