"This is like the final stage of a a video game". Its literally the final song on Guitar hero. Early youtube was filled with 9 year olds mastering that shit. ....early CZcams, damn I'm old...
If you think 9-year-olds mastering this song on GH is easy, check out an 11-year-old doing a drum cover of this song, or a 14-year-old playing _actual_ guitar to this song as a cover.
I mean if you just like guitar it’s a constant solo, if you like drums homie is gonna be popping off the whole song, the singer is actually insane too and there’s a bassist! Something for everyone. And bass!
I simply cannot hear this song without remembering a friend of mine saying "However good you think you are at doing anything, there is always an asian guy doing it better.", while he sees the solo.
Other bands: we’re going to play songs that really speak on a deep introspective level that contrast well with our playing styles Dragonforce: we’re just gonna go out and play our guitars really loud while we sing about dragons and shit. Who got beer?

This is the song you had to beat in Guitar Hero to beat the game. You should look up vids of people playing that song on GH on the hardest difficulty.
I like the pause before you say "wow"... some say "the silence after Mozart is still from Mozart", and I say "the silence before the "wow" is still from Dragonforce".

Heroes of our Time, Soldiers of the Wasteland, Highway to Oblivion, Cry for Eternity, Into the Winter Storm, Operation Ground and Pound,The Last Dragonborn. These guys have so many hits.
Road of Resistance from Babymetal featured DragonForce guitars on the studio recording, which if you went back to that reaction last year, it's pretty apparent even in live versions who the guitars were for.
Good morning, this is a brilliant power metal song on steroids. The speed of it and how those guitarist's played so fast is amazing. Thanks for sharing have a lovely day.
Funny thing is, this isn't even the full version of the song. They trimmed it down a bit for the video clip. I definitely recommend listening to the song in full. And if you want some wacky meme madness thrown into the mix, try Through and Tables and Memes by BandiPat. It's a real trip!
lol more than a bit, over 2 minutes I think, and it does affect the flow of the song. Also the sound quality on the video isn't as good as it should be. There's a very noticeable difference to the CD, or even on a music streaming service.

If you want a good variation of DragonForce to really get an appreciation for their technical ability and variety, I highly suggest checking out Cry Thunder, Three Hammers, Fury of the Storm, Valley of the Damned, Ashes of the Dawn, or Heroes of Our Time. I think those songs all show different sides of DragonForce and are full of intricate guitar play. If you want to see them live, definitely check out anything live from Japan. Any year. Loved the reaction, would love to see more! \m/
I'd recommend Scars of Yesterday - it's their best song in my opinion. It's more musically dynamic than their other songs and has intriguing and deep lyrics. It's a bonus song for the album Ultra Beatdown, so it's not on Spotify. Also, I should mention Revolution Deathsquad (might have the longest solo/middle portion out of all their songs) and Lost Souls of Endless Time, a bonus song for Inhuman Rampage, my favorite album of theirs. Simply epic stuff.
“This is like the final stage of a video game” Me: Close, it’s the end credits mode for the video game Guitar Hero 3. (They were kind enough to let it be the end credits playable song, rather then an actual song you have to master to beat the game lol)

Hell ya my brotha. You have have officially earned my subscription 🤘🏻💯. That song is very technical for the guitarists and the drummer. The whole song is a masterpiece. To redo this song would most likely be a nightmare lol. Just because of how technical it is.
I remember me and my friend ‘attempted’ it on expert, as soon as it started and the notes just flew down the screen we just sat there, started laughing and then just said nope. It’s easier to play on a real guitar, just ask Herman Li (the guy who co-wrote the damn song!)
If you like DragonForce, try Unleash the Archers. Awakening, and their newest song, Abyss, both have a DragonForce feel to it. Oh, and welcome to the world of ridiculous speed metal, haha. Rock on! 🤘🤘
I remember the first time I heard this song was on a Boss Level. A game called Brütal Legend that was based entirely around the power of Music being magical. The song played as you were escaping a Demon King and driving out of a city as Demons rain from the sky. It was every ounce as epic as you’d think
7:01 IT WAS! THIS SONG *WAS* ACTUALLY A VIDEO GAME FINAL BOSS XD Guitar Hero 2 was the gateway drug for a lot of people to sink into the love for Power Metal! And it's funny you mention video games. Check out their video for Heart Demolition. I love it. :)
while their guitar work is amazing good , it's not really all that "crazy" a lot of their really fast sounding parts is being done with tapping. tapping inheriantly produces two notes from one tap. the first note being the fret that is tapped, and the second note being the one that is freted which rings out after you release a tap. essentially it has the effect of producing two notes in the time it takes to play one note, so really fast tapping sounds inhumanly fast despite not really being that hard to do when you are a profecient tapper.
Herman Li also uses a scalloped fretboard on his guitars. It's a more difficult technique to master, requires a more sensitive touch than a regular fretboard, but it allows a skilled player to play much faster, much easier. Yngvie Malmsteen and Steve Vai are among the other guitarists that use scalloped fretboards.
