Just spent the morning installing the Acerbis tank on my 2020 CRF250L after studying your video through the week. Took my time and it all came together really well without an issue. I had to add some washers under the seat mount to get that high enough off the tank for the seat to slide on nicely, but other than that, it was a just like your video showed. Right, time for a ride 👍

Great video very informative. Unfortunatley my tank just wouldn't fit. The front of the tank was too narrow by 15mm and would not fit over the front mounts. It even fouled with the steel frame brackets. It also fouled the top radiator breather hose so just would not go down. The rear mout which on yours lined up perfectly just didn't. The tank came Into contact with the air box leaving a 12mm mismatch on the hole. The side panels came no where near. 2020 model crf250l. Acerbis are looking into why it doesnt fit.

I have searched forum threads, and videos, and yours is the only source of a blow-by-blow on HOW to remove that darn fuel line! I even had tat retaining clip pulled fully from the black connector, and I can't remove that line. Was I not tugging hard enough (easy...)? I feel like I gave it a good yank (easy...), and still the black connector held tight. Should I have really yanked it, or is there a technique once that yellow clip is pulled? Thanks for any further tips...

Great video, I've just finished fitting one onto my bike, had Great fun making it fit ok. Just wanted to ask if you have any problems screwing the filler cap onto the tank, as mine seems to cross thread.

Yes had the same problem !! At first you have to be quite precise in lining up the cap but with use this definitely improves so stick with it lol! Hope this helps

I just put an Acerbis on my CRF250L and I'm struggling with something. At 23:33 in your vid, you show a U-shaped bracket that helps to affix the fairing. I don't seem to have that. Now, my tank was bought second-hand, but I have the original instructions from Acerbis and there's no U-bracket on the parts list. Did yours come with that bracket, or did you fab it yourself? Edit: I rewatched the beginning of the vid where you lay out the included hardware....looks like they're included! Mine doesn't have them. I'll need to fab a set or get Acerbis to send me some. Great vid, btw. Thanks tons! Great info and detail here!

@@KeepItWheel Many thanks! Yes, I'm going to fab some, so if you can take some basic dimensions, that'd help tons. Appreciate your offering.
