Since this video was made, we've switched to using Scwhalbe Fat Frank tires. In our experience, they last much longer, and offer better flat protection. Excellent wet traction too. They are available in really nice cream or brick colors: amzn.to/3SI3SaN
We now exclusively use Crank Brothers Stamp 1 pedals which are lighter, way more durable, come in two sizes and multiple awesome colors: amzn.to/40GVdaT
We no longer use unbranded grips because they just don't hold up. We now use ODI Dread Lock grips for most rigid bike builds. Cushy and forgiving: amzn.to/46cGVQd
We get asked about (budget) cruiser saddles all the time. Our current recommendation is the Origin8 Sport Uno-S saddle. It's a wide, gel saddle with a perineum relief channel for men or women. It's more durable than other cheap saddles, and it has timeless good looks. For under $40 USD: amzn.to/3MJIcHy
1995 Diamond Back Topanga walk around. Restoration and mods. Updated crankset and cartridge bottom bracket. New cables and housings. New Duro 26x2.125 brick tread cruiser tires. 1990's mountain bike boom bikes are pretty much all great to convert to a more comfortable cruiser. Whe we built this bike a few years ago, it was for a customer who wanted to keep the original bars and stem. Most of the comfort cruiser builds we do now, change shorter stems and riser bars.

nice but if you were making it a cruiser why not go all the way and put cruiser handle bars on to?

I honestly don’t remember why. That was 4 years ago and I was putting riser MX bars on most of my builds. Yeah, if I were doing it today, it would probably get a swept back riser. Thanks for watching and giving me some feedback!

Looking back at this build, there’s many things that I do differently today for sure. Always evolving.
