In my case, and I think this happened to a lot of people to, covid has made us look at our lives and wonder what we could be doing differently and if we are truly enjoying it. I'm now going to my 2nd year of college, when I graduate high school it hit me that I was an adult, I knew I was going to get there but for some reason it didn't felt real, 2 years from now I'm going to have a job and I'm going to become a real adult, my teenage years are gone, no more easy life with no worries. Childhood (especially at 16) was awesome and it's definitely an era of life worth appreciating and making the most of. But true independent adulthood is just so much better (and sometimes more difficult...but that good kind of difficult).
And full disclosure, now, in my mid 30's I feel more jovial and than I've ever been. And I think it might be because the more I learn, experience, and evolve my philosophy the more youthful I become. Now it's like everywhere I go feels like a playground or a classroom and all the people there with me are my classmates.
Your comment got me thinking about things a little differently than before, thank you for that!

@@user-jh3gl6nu8s Wow, thanks for the great reply! This gives me hope, lol. I absolutely agree, especially with the 'each day could be the last, so appreciate it'. I guess perhaps one of the most truthful measures of 'success' could be the ability to go to sleep each night, knowing that if for some reason today was your last day, you are grateful for the moments you've lived and the moment you are living right now.
I'm still a teenager, so obviously I don't have much experience about this and correct me if I'm wrong, haha, but I've always felt that many adults spend the rest of their lives sort of trying to reconnect with their unconditionally joyful inner child.

I wish there was that scene from The Dark Knight when the Joker was hanging upside down, face to face with the Batman. That scene is perfect for this video for it throws us into contemplation. It forces us to rethink who Joker is, who Batman is, why Joker and Batman are not different from each other but still different from each other, how the two of them are extremes that give meaning to each other, who "complete" each other. It's that scene where not just the audience but also the Batman truly understands the Joker and what he was after. It's that scene where we realize that the Joker actually lost the battles, but won the war. It's that scene where we realize that the best villain is not a person, a maniac, a murderer; the best villain is an IDEA. An idea that would contaminate many, and it's that idea that the hero has to fight against. The fight is always between the hero's idea of the world and his consequent motives and the villain's idea of the world and HIS consequent motives; and how the audience's ideas interpret the movie in different ways and perspectives. It is the mind, watching the movie, that gives meaning to the Cinema beyond the cinematic meaning in itself.

One thing I have learned in my 74 years. I make myself painfully aware of and cherish every moment with my bride... for that day will come and I have no intention of arriving there with even one regret... we have a beautiful marriage, and still in love... she makes me understand how Sarah of the bible could be called beautiful at age 90, and Jody is only 70 and stunningly beautiful to me. And our faith in God makes it just that much sweeter...My prayer for all the youth is they can experience this purity of life that has become an art form for us, blessed by God, and working hard to make His creation a true masterpiece.

These are pretty good lines, but... have you ever wondered if maybe everything we think we know is from a movie?
Have I ever had a real idea of what life is? Have I ever known who I was or what I was meant to be, or have I always measured myself by the extremes of life that I saw in films?
I have spent more of my life eating pizza, or taking a shower, or talking to a customer, than I will ever spend changing the world.
Real life is simple and boring. We crave excitement, until we get it. Then we cry out for peace, which we can't stand. Is that all that life is? The endless pursuit of unrest?

Your mind is like water. with every thought, there is a ripple. For most, it's like a storm and loud, for others it's quiet and calm. For your mind to be calm, and quiet, you've got to breathe and relax. Slow down your mind, think slowly, focus on a part of your body (like your heartbeat, or the blood flow in your body, or a certain muscle in your body thats in pain or uncomfortable). And once everything is said and done, you will find yourself in a quiet place that's filled with your imagination.

    2. There's a powerful scene in Lean on Me, which was my first opportunity to see Morgan Freeman's talent, where his character, based on the real educator Joe Clark, brings a kid up to the roof and dares him to jump, only to show him that that's what he's doing to his life by smoking crack.

I dont like the idea that the one person I loved fully allowed me to love myself better than I could ever understand,bc I miss her now as much as I had missed this version of myself. I stg if she would've been single when I met her she would've been my queen. But now I'm in the process of building a lonely king, he's still a king but he won't let noone next to his throne now its reserved for her little ass only. I only dont like the idea bc I realize I've never let anyone that close to the real me before, anytime someone saw a glimpse i was weird, weak or crazy and she comforted me weak weird crazy ass and allowed my strengths to be seen. Thank you SA your stained in my heart forever.
