These are decent because of torque values not hp. You need spend some p on the platform too.

i have a mk4 tdi variant (alh) with a stage 1 map, currently at 120hp and plan to take it to 150hp with bigger injectors and clutch, realistically after that if i wanted more i would swap the turbo/intercooler and push around 200hp but that would be my limit. I think most people dont want to miss too much reliability which is one of the strong points of this engine and it would defeat the purpose

I am a guy who uses 65$ tyres (225/45 R17) . Actually proved to be a lot more suitable for the type of roads and climate we have here in Serbia, by a LOT. Ive bought a Honda Civic 8 Euro with Michelin Pilot Sport and Dunlop Sport Maxx summer tyres. Those were fking terrible, first wet day, about 25 degrees C, almost crashed in the first corner because of understeer. These 120$ tyres are made out of plastic! If not used in extreme heat, they dont have any grip! The only good thing about them is they dont wear fast, duuuuh, its not rubber >) Not the mention the stiffnes and the incredibly uncomfortable rides. I blamed the suspension, but it was the tyres all the time.
On the other hand, the 65$ Sava Intensa UHP2 is a great all around summer tyre. Much more grippier and comfortable than the expensive premium plastic competition you are talking about ...

another good tip is the downward facing tailpipe. It's amazing how much that swirls up the smoke or even such a pipe further up around the rear axle.
I don't get the decat. The oxi-cat burns some of the soot particles straight away or a sintermetallic filter will burn most of them straight away without creating a big backpressure while maintaining a much clearer exhaust gas allowing more initial smoke for more power

Dont brother.. The 3.0 is a very unreliable engine at its stock form. I've owned 3 Terrano, two 2.7 and one 3.0. And even though i kept the 3.0 stock I ended up blowing it up, while the 2.7's just keep ticking even with me constantly torturing them with evry mod.
If you don't trust my knowledge then you should do your own research, you don't need to spend a lot of time searching forums before you learn that the 3.0 was a failure from nissan.

My mate got a 55 plate Bacon Lettuce Tomato fabia, head rebuilt with oem parts after headlift diagnosed (had a real bad remap when he bought the car that the butt dyno said was about 150-160 bhp), uprated turbo but cant remember numbers, fmic, 3 teeth cam adjustment, 3 terracleans (inj 3 was being a lazy git and just gave us that lovely diesel stench white smoke) 3 inch straight thru pipe, between 40-50 dyno runs and putting just shy of 240 bhp and 400 ish torque, the tuner was told before he started smoke is not a issue just power, if we got the pd160 cupra intake he said could do more as the turbo could handle it, but already pushing limits of the clutch, injectors running at virtually max capacity and all the other bits that you guys know too well, a good few parts came from yourselves, and still greatful you accepted the return and refund on the oil cooler,
I think fabia's are more popular then polo's cause they seem like golf's in size even tho we all tho under the panels it is a polo lol

Totally agree with your comment about power approaching 100mph. I had a 337bhp Supercharged EP3 Civic Type R. It revved to 8700rpm. However a casual in gear pull meant nothing to a powerful diesel car. I'd have to drop 3 gears to keep pace . Then around 80-100mph the diesel would hit a wall where the Civic was just getting into its stride. The diesel was probably in top gear. The Civic would do 100mph in 3rd. 120mph in 5th and a (not proud) 158mph in 6th with 500rpm to go and pulling. But yeah 50-70 , 50-80 mph the diesel had me licked.

Nice vid. Im getting a little old and have a fast TTS being slowly forged at the moment and will be running 500/550 in the near future.
However, I grabbed a decent little Fabia VRS (05) as a run around and Ive fell in love with it. Enough to spend money on it. Im now doing exactly what you mentioned at the start of the video - suspension (ST coil overs), all bushings, drop links, arb, top mount bearings, rear stub axles and bearings, sorting out the handling - and the standard brakes are shocking!
Do you guys at DS source the brake upgrades too - Mk1 TT, Octavia etc (312mm) replacements etc or is there a brand new cheap upgrade package, for example, like the Wilwood front calliper kit etc. What do you guys think is the best front brake upgrade for the money for these cars. They defo need them!
When all this is done I may have you guys tamper with the engine a little if the price is right.
I wont lie people say you are ‘dear’ but you defo know what you are doing and seem like an honest company. 👊🏼👊🏼

@@DarksideDevelopments Thanks guyes I can't wait. I know the stock turbo is good for around 150hp. In your other videos you mentioned the stock fuel system and clutch is good for more than 150hp. A cost effective package giving 170 to 185hp using the stock fuel system and clutch with maybe a slightly bigger turbo + intercooler plus unblocked cat egr dpf sounds not too expensive. If the package costs under or around 3k, is reliable long-term and keeps reasonable fuel economy that would be great.
6th gear on wifeys greenline is huge, 39 mph per 1000rpm, if it had another 70hp I reckon it would pull that gear another 15 mph. On my local autobahn it pulls close to 130mph after a long run. But thats only 3300 rpm.
